🍀Top of the Morning Ms. Janna 🍺🇨🇮. Although the Reuben was one of the best selling sandwiches I ever made I can't stand it. I don't like Rye or Pumpernickel and all the extras. I would gladly have a Corned Beef and Swiss cheese 🧀 on a toasted sandwich. But for those people who enjoy Reubens this is a homerun.! Anything can be put in a potato skin. I occasionally ran "Irish Tacos" potato skins with Taco 🌮 filling. Maybe for Cinco de Mayo 🤣? Have a Blessed and Beautiful Day ✝️📖✌️💞🙏🍀🍺🇨🇮

Do you know how Pumpernickel bread got its name.?

Oh Eddie! You wouldn’t be referring to “the German 🤭 💨👿” now would you? 😷

@@becomingabetterhomecookwit8915 Hi again, Pumpernickel bread was made by Napoleon's chef for the troops but they didn't like it but Napoleon's horse loved it. His horse was named Nicole. When he wanted the bread for his horse he would say, "Fait Le pain pour Nicole" which is "Make the bread for Nicole" or Pain pour Nicole, pump per Nicole. At least that's what I was told in culinary school. 🇨🇵🐎🍞✝️

Oh Wow! We definitely had different meanings associated with Pumpernickel!! In German/Bavarian culture its nickname/history is “Flatulent Devil” 💨👿😷 hahaha But I think I like your version better! My maternal family links to lower Germany and the Czech regions. Paternal ancestry to England/Scotland/Dutch regions back to 1400’s

@@becomingabetterhomecookwit8915 It means DevilFarts 🤣🤣. All I know about my ancestry is I was born in Appalachia, Clarksburg W Va. Adopted at 2 days old. Italian and French is how I was raised. Dad's family was immigrants, he was first generation and mom was 4th generation from France via Nova Scotia. We mostly had baguettes 🥖or Italian bread. Mostly Italian food growing up with my Nonna showing me stuff as a kid. Fuggetaboutit 🇮🇹. I was raised in Brooklyn. Retired to Pennsylvania Dutch Land. ✝️
