Why punish a good tipping customer by having their order get declined multiple times from drivers for low pay high miles??? If you show $20 for 12 miles we'll pick it up immediately, if you show $6 for 12 miles only a FOOL like me would accept it.... I've probably declined over 10,000 good paying customers because.doordash shows them to me as a Horrible Tipper, when in reality they aren't..... Some days I make $60 for 11 hours.... 2 years ago I could make $1,000 a week for 60 hours. Now 60 hours is less than $500

    I make roughly $500-$600 a week but I also do it full time 45ish hours a week in a "small Region" I do every order as there aren't many to go around I've had moments I sit for 2 hours without a order and moments i get double orders back after back. I do however do not like how if you get a bad rating you don't get an explanation to confirm it was indeed your fault or a bad rating because they added substitutions accepted but rate you bad because they didn't want that substitution that was available even after you tell them and they don't respond. I wish door dash would explain to customers we are on a timer we can't wait all day for them to respond.

    • @bobbywyatt3
      @bobbywyatt3 11 месяцев назад

      The ratings system is terrible I've been a dasher for 4 years & it doesn't matter if you did everything perfectly if the customer says you didn't door dash will violate you & you will not win a dispute now it may never go through but it'll show until you complete 100 more deliveries. Door Dash rewards the people who scam for free meals. Door dash allows customers to order food have it delivered even though door dash tracked you to their address & even with the photo they still will give that person another order or the same & credit plus violate you. Now again the violation may not go through & it won't impact you if their aren't a lot of dasher but the second a ton of dasher are on you'll get the worst orders while that violation is active

    It would be nice if door dash was more transparent with the pay. I’ve seen some tips go higher that I almost didn’t accept the order. I don’t think it’s fair for the customers who are giving a great tip that the driver can’t see until they deliver. Some people want their food and will pay which I think door dash should just put the full pay out there otherwise it may not get picked up as fast as the customer wants.

      Don’t blame the company, blame the game. The reason there are often hidden tips is because the BUYER wants to tip based on service! You can’t expect a massive tip to be added in from the buyer if the buyer hasn’t had your service yet! As it should be, you will be payed based on what you agree too! There is no room for entitlement in the service industry, there is enough already! It’s simple, you decided if you want to take the order…once you take it, you own your craft and than you get what you get. If people only took what was “ideal” than all we would have is lazy drivers who are late or cancel and have crap customer service. For the same reason when you tip AFTER you eat your meal at a restaurant is the same reason tips aren’t always included before service for Doordashers. As a matter of fact, I am more drawn to “non tip” deliveries than tip included. As I have found tip included almost ALWAYS never tips on top. Hidden tips are almost ALWAYS the highest paying, you just have to be willing to make that jump. “The safest route is often the least rewarding, make the leap.”

    I would also advise to know your region as well as your market. In my market there is one side of town that i will always decline and its the neighborhood on the left side of a street. Thats because the neighborhood on the left side is extremely hilled. The slopes go straight up and down, i dont know how its safe for houses to be built like that, but its a whole neighborhood of houses on hislopes and low slopes. This neighborhood will give your transmission a workout.

    I'm new to dashing and I understand most of the system. What I don't understand is the throttling tactic. We have a parking lot around a half dozen of us sit with eyes on mcdonalds. Today I tested it. And just sat there for an hour in a dash. 11 x other dashers got orders before my frustration got the better of me. If we all are top dashers. My ratings are all f 97% . Are they getting them simply because there stats are higher .... or is there like a senority factor I'm getting throttled . They have been dashing longer, or because I'm working in there home base location. And not in my own home base cause it's not nearly as busy ??? Any thoughts it's driving me crazy. It seems like just one zone this happens in. Also is there any part of the algorithm that detects if your " camping" sitting in wait for a dash or if your continually mobile and that one way n or the other play a role

    Hey y’all, I have a question for anyone who wants to give me an answer so if you want to tip your Uber eats driver and cash is there any way to let them know before hand so they don’t feel like they are being baited if you know what I mean. I know if you tip them in the app you get taxed on that per se but if you tip them in cash, it’s there for them to spend right away. I also know that most drivers will pass on orders that do not have a tip on them but, as I was saying above, you may not have the money on your card to tip them, but you can tip them in cash when they bring it to you so any pointers would be great and really appreciate it

      A lot of dashers, myself included have a memory bank in our heads of restaurants we don't pick up from, because they consistently take too long or picking up from there can be too much of a hassle. We also remember the ones we like to pick up from because the order is more often than not ready when we get there and if we do have to wait, it's ususally only a couple minutes. As you mentioned in your comment, sometimes a restaurant can get so backed up that occasionally it will take longer. My advice would be to use your best judgement with those places. For intance, there's a Buffalo Wild Wings near me that gets really busy for certain sporting events. If I know they are busy I'm not going there, but if it's not then I will. It just depends on you and your market.

      I don't think so but when you get an order you can zoom in to the drop off and be able to tell if it's an apartment, house, business exc.

    Wait, I'm confused. So you say they will send the orders to dashers who are further away so the order will be ready once they arrive. Yet, you are sitting in front of McDonalds and are still receiving orders from them? No hate just confused.

      Yes, only because there are 2 other McDonald's less than 5 miles away so the radius is really small. I get 2-3 mile orders from here. You can't do that at other restaurants.

      @@dianepuri870Not THE best, but one of the best late at night.
      Because fewer places are open say after midnight.
      But go with areas with restaurants and fast food near residentials/apartments

      Not a great idea, because you have to consider drive time to and from that place as well.
      During that time you could have made maybe two or three orders.
