For me the most important part of home is the kitchen. And Monica gave it a very artistic and feminine touch. It is so beautiful, every detail. I liked the detail of the plants. Everything is beautiful!
I’ve been binge watching these episodes on this drizzly gray and cold Saturday morning and this one is definitely my favorite transformation!! Very beautiful and gorgeous!!
This was fabulous! You got rid of the yucky poo brown & gave her a cheerful stylish upgrade, highlighting the original vintage vibe. Amanda's emotional reaction was priceless! I felt joyfully privileged to share in the reveal. I hope she enjoys lots of good meals with her friends in the lovely new kitchen & many Blessings in her new home! Thank you Lowes & Monica!
I am so happy for this young lady. I cried with her. She is way ahead of us.. to have such a beautiful kitchen. We are about to be empty nesters very soon. I am dreaming a new redo on our kitchen and collecting ideas and all these videos have been very helpful. When I go to "my" Lowe's, I have a cashier lady who remembers me and always asks me, "what are you up to now? What project are you working on?". I will have to ask her if she is aware of all these shows and one day I will proudly tell her that we are doing our kitchen. 🙏💪
I absolutely love how Monica is always thinking outside of the box...the penny tile as a backsplash great but dying a sheet and replacing a few...Genius
I've been binge watching this show this weekend. I like the episodes were Monica is trying to save money. It appears to be the most creative and high end looking remodels. Plus, I like to save money so the tips are more doable. This episode and two others are my favorites so far. This home owners reaction had me crying as well. I feel happy for her, congrats.
That was just perfect. Her reaction made me cry a little too. She loved it. I never thought i'd like the wall paper or the pinkish colors, but you put it together perfectly.
I really like this girl she is sooo down to earth. love to watch all the projects even the ones I'm not crazy about. there is always something I can go away learning
I still can't get over how fast they are able to paint the kitchen cabinets. I did that in one of my houses and it took me a couple of weeks to do one wall from floor to ceiling of 1930s style cabinets - tons of storage, a real pain in the neck to paint (I did the insides too, though). I like how she added the accent on the fireplace wall with the additional wood trim, not a fan of that particular wallpaper but agree that it really added a great look to that feature wall along with the fireplace.
I loved Amanda's reaction. Such a sweet person. I loooooooove how the fire place turned out. I was acutally contemplating using the wallpaper a few yrs ago I love how it ties in the red w/o overwhelming it.
I really don't like this look, but so glad the homeowner liked it. Her reaction made me cry. It's nice when, after all Monica and her team's work, the people show appreciation.
Such a perfect space for this young lady. Monica...you look tired. Careful not to burnout...I don't know how you do all this and take care of your family. Remember time for yourself! ;)
LOVE the fireplace and wallpaper, definitely southern inspired. Love the tile and effects. Wondered about painting the cabinets without removing the doors, but it worked out and the crown molding is something I hope I'll remember to do if I get a kitchen like that again. (Are those plants fake?) The only thing I'm not sure of is the pale green paint on the walls. Overall, stunning.
You ALWAYS have to have a grey primer under red paint if you are going over a light surface, ie. the mantel didn't require the grey primer, the wall definitely did. Difference between working with the paint over the grey primer is night and day!
I hate wallpaper. No matter what kind. I just don't like it. It still looks good. Not wallpaper is not my taste. I would have sanded down that fireplace to the bare wood, and then restained it.
I really wish she would show specific Pinterest post showing trending styles, or just pinterest common crafts etc. That Pinterest tie is a game changer!
This is like 100 % not my style and taste but it turned out really beautiful and I love how much Amanda loves it ❤️❤️❤️ also - Monica, gurl, you got 4 kids? Wow, looking mighty good 😊👌
I wish I had time to decant everything in my pantry into cutesy jars! Mine is organized, and the shelves are labelled, but I'd rather just close the doors! The wall paper and bright paint are fun, the cupboards and backsplash are clean and crisp, but nothing ties them together... I might have taken either the paint colour or the wall paper around the bottom of the room instead, with some fun pops of art above.
Aw... this brought tears to my eyes. The homeowner was so sweet and adorable. I love this show!
Mindy Schaper glad you're enjoying The Weekender. What's your favorite project so far?
love the home owner. she's so adorable. and her hair! beautiful.
Yes, she is. Her hair is amazing and so thick!
As always, Monica does an amazing job and ties everything together! The home owner is so appreciative and emotional which is really nice.
Turned out so nice, and the homeowner’s reaction was priceless. Wonderful redo.

I love the outcome of this redo. Love the wallpaper and backsplash. Their reactions are priceless.

This one is my favorite ❤ This beautiful young homeowner's enthusiasm just makes the whole video. So happy gor her! That fireplace wall is AMAZING
I cant stop watching
Why is this still not a Netflix series with 8 season and more to come?

The homeowner made me cry. She was so grateful ❤
I absolutely love how Monica is always thinking outside of the box...the penny tile as a backsplash great but dying a sheet and replacing a few...Genius
The wallpaper and fireplace combo is so stunning! Went from something that didn't belong there to making it look like it belonged there.

One of my favorite episodes. Love that the character of the home was kept.
That was just perfect. Her reaction made me cry a little too. She loved it. I never thought i'd like the wall paper or the pinkish colors, but you put it together perfectly.
That ponytail is everything!!!
I like the episodes where the home owners have a big reaction
More Monica! More episodes! Great job - watched it twice!
Loved it and the homeowner was so sweet! I'm so happy for her😁
I always like all the black ladies on this show.. they are all so excited and flexible yass
ImNotCatImFluffy yassss they are the only one who get excited.
Edwin Fernandez funny but not true
Yeah, they are quite lovely, really.

That fireplace transformation was just WOW! Can't believe what can be done with little money!
The client has such a great personality! She seems so fun to be around! And yasss to this transformation
I'm binge watching these and am blown away!
This homeowner has to be my favorite so far! also that kitchen really came together
Monica you are nothing short of AMAZING! 👍👍Like a live, walking Pinterest-Person!!
i love how confident both of these women are
Can we just give props to the homeowner for having a beautiful head of hair! But yes that was a super cute makeover!
I really did not like the red color though the wall papper was cute! I think it would been enough for boldness. The rest awesome job!!
The red fireplace was too much. I fear it will negatively affect the resale value of the unit.
I loved Amanda's reaction. Such a sweet person. I loooooooove how the fire place turned out. I was acutally contemplating using the wallpaper a few yrs ago I love how it ties in the red w/o overwhelming it.
Precious homeowner. When people are that grateful you just want to go all out for them!
Yet another amazing transformation!! Monica certainly has the talents!!! 🥰❤✌✌✌
My pantry is that builders beige with wire shelves. I hate it. Love what you did for this homeowner it gives me new hope for my pantry.
i loveeee this homeowner personality!!
Never in a million years would I have chosen that particular wallpaper, but it WORKS! Looked great!
They find the sweetest people.
I love NOLA! It turned out great and she is so gorgeous!!
I just subscribed today, and I am hooked. Amazing updates on all of the projects that I have watched.
I'm absolutely in love with that accent wall!
this is still my fave episode of the show, the style just jives with me so much and the homeowner's reaction was so sweet :'>
Monica you inspire me with every project! I am admire your sense of style in clothing as well! Where do you shop?
Monica, another wonderful job done 👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hi, this kitchen is stunning. Can you please tell me the brand and name of the codor of the paint. Thank you!
She was so sweet! Loved the wallpaper!!!!!
This kitchen is the best! So pretty! Our kitchen is original 1949 plywood cabinets. I want to do something pretty with it but I don’t know how
Loved it . But would have whitewashed the brick
I love it! I just would've painted the brick white.
This episode has become a happy place for me!
I really don't like this look, but so glad the homeowner liked it. Her reaction made me cry. It's nice when, after all Monica and her team's work, the people show appreciation.

I love it all! Where is the list of items you used? I love the wall paper.
Awesome. Love the colors!
I love that beautiful Poppy wallpaper!! 🤗👏💪🌺
I LOVE 💕 this! Sooo stinking adorable and so dang Southern in the best way. Oodles of enviable character. Great job.
LOVE the fireplace and wallpaper, definitely southern inspired. Love the tile and effects. Monica! looooooved this kitchen 😍 This is not my style but you nailed it for sure and its awesome!
OMG, why am I crying every damn time? Great great work! Just amazing.
Ok this was amazing
But can you add the products name you used and the process please ?
The best part of the vid is when the people scream in the intro!😂
I WISH I HAD MONICA! I love her ideas
How did i miss this ???? It was awesome and I had no idea Monica had four kids.
my new favorite show

loved it...I wonder how they decide who will get the full "bang" - new floor and countertops and cabinets etc. when doing a makeover
What was the name/brand of light greenish grey color on the wall?
The paint is HGTV Home by Sherwin Williams "Sea Salt.". Here's a sample: low.es/2oczJPJ. Thanks for watching.
I hate wallpaper. No matter what kind. I just don't like it. It still looks good. Not wallpaper is not my taste.
I would have sanded down that fireplace to the bare wood, and then restained it.
john M totally agree
Agree. But just poly and left the natural wood color if possible. The red is too much.
Monica, you really have endless accent wall ideas!
This homeowner' acting is so Oscar's worthy !
Monica I love your videos. WOW. So inspires Thankyou ❤️❤️❤️😇❤️
What color did they choose for the walls?
You are the best Monica 💐
Totally adorable!!
You are amazing! I love this channel. This is what HGTV is supposed to be like. So glad I found you.
What do you think about Appliance epoxy? 🤔 My refrigerator is white, but has little rust dots on the side. How about spray painting it black? 😕🤐🙃
Owner is sweet. Poppies wall paper and color of fire place are very pretty.
I really wish she would show specific Pinterest post showing trending styles, or just pinterest common crafts etc. That Pinterest tie is a game changer!
What is the paint color on the inside of the pantry??
She got a new fridge, new gas stove, new table and chairs. Even a new light fixture. Why didn't she get a new range hood?
Monica really brought it in this episode!
Love it! Awesome job!!!

monica, you are magic
OOh I love me some French Quarter
This is AMAZING
kudos to the homeowner
