      How is a difficult question to answer,I started young at about 12 years old, and that's not today or yesterday.I wanted flies that more closely resembled the insects I observed on the river,that was the principal motivation,long hours over many years at the vice got me tying flies that worked better than anything available in shops,and that's the best explanation I can give you,hope you enjoy the vids..

      Hi George excellent video as always, I noticed you use antron yarn as wings over the traditional feathered wing . Iv also started doing this myself on the back of your video, to great success I might add. I was wondering do you use antron also on blue dun wings, I'm considering switching from the usual feathered wings as an experiment as to be honest they are much easier to tie and perfect in antron. Im simply curious.
