Agreed, despite it being just another cheap Lunar New Year flick Johnnie To and Wai Ka-Fai cranked out to please the studio execs, they actually managed to make a genuinely good comedy with a solid storyline and plenty of heart out of it. In fact, the film gets across many of the pair's usual thematic fixations and philosophical views of the world (mainly in regards to the concept of fate) in a way that's a bit more crowd-pleasing and digestible than their crime films, but is still largely true to the essence of their overall works. Great film.

@@Whoa802 Why called it "cheap" if it's good?
@@peekaboopeekaboo1165I called it "cheap" as in referring to budget, not quality.
劉青雲大喊師父一幕應該是向賭神系列致敬,當然這套賀歲片有深度得多

佢話「正花都摸埋你」,姐係佢摸咗劉德華隻正花?所以劉德華先答佢「我都有」
