I used to get sad whenever I heard this song, but one day I was walking through the city after college. It was dark but not too cold, which is rare in December lol, anyway, as I was walking this part came on and I was just struck with how beautiful the scene was, the Christmas lights reflecting in the puddles, the crowds surrounding me. In November, I had gotten very sick (even missed a whole week of school) right before my Thanksgiving break and I did nothing but listen to Lean. The week after that, I was on break and we drove up to a small town in Michigan near the Lake Michigan. When we arrived Red Bottom Sky played. There was no snow on the ground when we were there, but the minute we left, it started to snow and Agony played on my phone. Those memories and everything about that trip is tied to this song for me. This song reminds me of 5 am when I was younger(8 years old) in an abusive household, repeating the same tormenting memories and the pain of having to repeat tomorrow. I would stay awake at 5 am, watching the sunrise come closer knowing that the only 1 hour-15 minute safety I had was over. And the accepting the dread knowing I had to go to school later, or worse, having to stay home on the weekend while my parents woke up. I knew I had to sleep for school that would happen an hour later but it was the only time where I felt slightly safe. This song to me is the feeling of dissociating as a young child in the only time that felt safe, knowing what would come and the consequences of their actions later to feel the slightest bit of peace and comfort as rest from their life, being abused, bullied and failed by almost every person(teacher, parents, relatives, and other children/classmates in their life). That’s why I’m personally able to only listen to yung lean: he has a song for every mood and I’ve also found that I’m able to feel certain ways after listening to his music even if the song(s) aren’t even intended for the emotions I feel

i come to this song when i have no where else to go. i’ve stopped venting to people, i’ve stopped reaching out. i just listen to this song and it’s more of a comfort then they’ve ever been. :(
This song reminds me of all the good memories ive made with friends, but the song also tells me that i'll never live those moments ever again and I need to appreciate them while they're the present.
This makes me feel two distinct ways. One is a sort of hope, this sounds like a moment when all seems lost, but then right when you think it's all over hope appears. I think of it as a movie ending where we think all hope is lost but in the last frame you see something that gives you hope. Something akin to the one plant in Wall-E.
The other emotion one can take is sadness and loneliness which this of course gets
this wonderful melody reminds me of whole crowds of memories of the beautiful time of summer, autumn 2021. I really love to remember my unforgotten times with this melody.

This song reminds me so much of my child hood and honestly when I was an I pad kid playing Episode romance stories. I really do miss spending most of my day in the kid zone at the YMCA and getting chocolate frosties from Wendy’s, dying eggs in vinegar before Easter while also peeling the snails off my backyard wall. I just wished I could turn back time to when days were filled with so much energy and adventuring, but I’m also proud of where I am now.

I prefer the original version but man, this song really does make me think of November 2019. In November, I had gotten very sick (even missed a whole week of school) right before my Thanksgiving break and I did nothing but listen to Lean.
The week after that, I was on break and we drove up to a small town in Michigan near the Lake Michigan. When we arrived Red Bottom Sky played. There was no snow on the ground when we were there, but the minute we left, it started to snow and Agony played on my phone. Those memories and everything about that trip is tied to this song for me.
That was almost 3 years ago and I just graduated. I’m an adult now, but anytime I listen to this, all the memories of that trip come back.

This song brings good and bad memories and mixed them together. Idk how to explain it but the anxiety I had but I liked it but I hated it at the same time idk. It reminds me times of me fighting with my addicted brother, banging on doors, scary mad movements, mad outbursts, random fights over anything simple, him getting in my moms and my faces, screaming and saying things like killing and how he’s gonna do it. When he couldn’t find find his liquor sometimes he will blame me and go for me but he’s away now.

This song reminds me of 5 am when I was younger(8 years old) in an abusive household, repeating the same tormenting memories and the pain of having to repeat tomorrow. I would stay awake at 5 am, watching the sunrise come closer knowing that the only 1 hour-15 minute safety I had was over. And the accepting the dread knowing I had to go to school later, or worse, having to stay home on the weekend while my parents woke up. I knew I had to sleep for school that would happen an hour later but it was the only time where I felt slightly safe.
This song to me is the feeling of dissociating as a young child in the only time that felt safe, knowing what would come and the consequences of their actions later to feel the slightest bit of peace and comfort as rest from their life, being abused, bullied and failed by almost every person(teacher, parents, relatives, and other children/classmates in their life).
