Both sound amazing. The Indian RW sems to have more bass and a more scooped tone. The Madagascar rosewood seems to have more mids and overtones. I can't wait for these models to hit the US market this year.
I Agree. actually, own the e20d mr and played it in the same place as the e20d, the mr has more mids and overtones and the e20d sounds more powerful with the bass emphasized.
In my opinion the MR sounded better on everything. Much more open. The Indian R guitar sounded stiff in comparison. The harmonics rang better as well. All Eastman's are good guitars, but Madagascar Rosewood is a great upgrade!
That bass on the Indian. That's why I love it. With the right top, and a nice dense piece, it can have that midrange of Madi too. Just need to pair it right
They both have the same amount of bass response/tone but what you hear or rather don't hear is the Indian Rosewood actually lacks midrange presence, it has that range scooped.
Definitely worth the upgrade to get Madagascar
