Good presentation, nicely played and great sound. Martin ist more midrange and dry, Yamaha more Juicy and brilliant. I like both.

HI! I am an avid guitarist and I love Martin guitars and I was wondering: What is the difference between a Martin D42 and a Martin D45?? Apart from the abalano inlays, what are the construction differences? Is the D45 superior for materials, wood, bracing and everything else?? Could I get an answer from whoever works with these guitars, please? I want to know the truth and the real differences between the two models!! Thank you!

I just bought a fantastic FG-9R and it Sounds amazing.Good compagnon to my Custom Shop Martin with AdiMadi....

Sonically the difference was minimal at best. I thought the tone was nearly identical between the three.

Had 7 Martins over the years. Now a LL-TA and thinking about a LL-36. No question they beat the manufacture quality over Martin let alone the power, clarity and sustain.

Not even close .... the Martin delivers mostly the sound of the strings. The Yamaha brings the full 3-dimensional sound of the guitar body on the table. Different class.

Very slight differences sonicly. Huge price differences......d 41 5000 $ cheaper than d45..... So my choice d41... althought with much less money you can get a simialar or even better guitar.... Martins are VERY overpriced.....

Had the opportunity to play a FG9R at Guitar Center and was very impressed. I actually liked it better than the D28 I also played there. Well, it should sound better, it was 900 dollars more expensive than the Martin!

The Yamaha LL36 is a bench guitar, hand built by skilled Luthiers! If I'm not mistaken (yeah I'm not!) the Martin d41 is a factory guitar. There's care taken... But it is assembly line rinse and repeat process....

Appreciate the quality of the presentation. Each facet of playing is well presented and styles. Short clips to the point. Well done, and makes me appreciate the LL series from Yamaha from the 6 to 56.
