  • Electric transportation in 2024 doesn’t have to be cumbersome. It doesn’t have to break the bank. It doesn’t have to be the cutting edge of death machine speed rockets. There will always be something new - something faster and something better.
    If you don’t figure out what your needs are, you will go broke in the space race.
    I’ve felt this before building pc’s , every year trying to buy the next best thing. Became taxing and eventually you have to decide what games you want to play and what you need to play them.
    This EUC hobby is no different.
    Don’t go broke , when all you wanna do is have fun and frolic … find something used
    Or a new t4 pro may just fit the bill for you.

    I have the same wheel. My first wheel btw. Added grizzla fairings and rear bumper. But for the front i fabricated from 3/8 aluminum plate two sides i a sorta J shape ,and a handle out of the end of dirtbike handle bars cut to length i needed to connect the 2 sides. Didn’t have to modify the wheel whatsoever and it’s super stout! Gives you front protection,a front stand to lay it down forwards and its a handle thats not in the way.

    Hey Johnny, remove the nylon bushing at the top and bottom of the suspension, then recalibrate your suspension setup! ;-)
    No need to remove a good part of the suspension travel with those bushings.

    • @Massnewbicide
      @Massnewbicide 2 дня назад

      @russellzauner always nice to see more head to heads, but if you're curious, from the youtube vids/reddit/EUC forum comparisons, it's like comparing a Honda Fit to a previous gen Toyota Tacoma (somewhat smaller).
      I'm biased as I went with a T4 Pro, and have yet to ride the Falcon, though I was at first considering it. I would have definitely outgrown it too fast.
      The Falcon is like a suspension and otherwise upgraded A2 I hear, great for shorter commutes and occasional short rides throughout the week, updated too, and great in wet climates. The T4 (especially Pro+) is like a do it all, except seriously race, vehicle, and it's got a ton of mods/aftermarket. If you want something light, explicitly water resistant rated, and new with some design lessons learned, go with the Falcon. If you wanna do more than that, get the T4, newer models, or the Pro(+). The Pro has much of the water issues (bearing seals) handled, and again, so much known support out there.

    Speaking of overpowering the wheel, are you the type of rider that leans far forward aggressively? Once I disabled the Level 2 beeps I can't say I've gotten too close to overpowering it, but I'm still dialing in my pad setup to feel more secure with the wheel.
    With the air shock, can you say what specifically you broke on it? Or at least what were you doing that broke it? What PSI were you keeping it at? Right now I've got mine at 300PSI.
    Cheers, appreciate the video!

    • @Massnewbicide
      @Massnewbicide 2 дня назад +1

      What made you opt for 300 psi? I'm new and trying to dial in my (used) t4 pro. Currently running ~200 psi in the shock, ~36 psi in a shinko 241 tire. 185lb rider.

I can full squat with a fairly wide stance, no heel lift, on flat ground, toes pointed out a bit, and that's my developed stance after years of somewhat consistent lifting. The pedals are just too narrow for me to not have more than half my foot hanging off 😅 and it's been hard going trying to sit and ride my T4 Pro. Thinking about trying to shape a yoga block seat and mount properly.

    I upgraded from a S18 to a T4 pro this year. At low speeds and riding in the grass I feel comfortable but on hard surfaces once I get up around 15+ mph I start to feel unsteady or unbalanced. I never had that problem on my S18, can’t tell if it’s lacking of experience on the new wheel or something is off with it.

    Looking ahead to my next wheel, probably for Christmas from my starter V8s. Don't need super speed but something light, agile, cruising at say 20mph (my comfort level now but that may be just because I'm new and learning and someone the limit of the V8s) and suspension. Looking at the T4 Pro+ (plus comes with spring/coil shock), King Song S16 Pro and maybe Falcon. What do you think (or anyone think reading this)?

    • @johnnygovroom
      @johnnygovroom  4 дня назад +1

      I haven't had the pleasure of riding the S16pro- I think the t4 and the s16 are in parody, with the t4 leaning more into the ride and the s16pro into the user experience.

    • @grb1969
      @grb1969 4 дня назад +2

      Consider buying a used v14-50s and operating in Dual-Battery Mode, which is much lighter without losing power. The s16/pro is getting questionable feedback at this point as to whether it’s worth buying at all.

      @@johnnygovroom Thanks for the reply. I guess me being new to EUC riding, I don't know the difference 😃, for me its a "riding experience" all the time. From this video it seems like the T4 needs more "modifications" that I may not really want to do. Hmmmm. Who knows, by the time I upgrade (hopefully Christmas, if I can wait that long 😋) there may be another wheel out in this category. Safe riding and keep the great content coming.

      @@grb1969 Thanks for the reply. That's a great suggestion, now finding a used v14-50s may be a challenge. I'm really trying to spend a very maximum of $2500, ideally $2000. Alien Rides has the T4 Pro+ (50s with spring/coil shock) for $2199, King Song S16 Pro $1999 and of course Begode Falcon $1699. Again thanks for your input.

    • @Massnewbicide
      @Massnewbicide 2 дня назад

      @MichaelHollandOne are you definitely set on a new one? If so, personally, I'd go with the best setup of the T4 Pro(+) I could get for the ~$2k or less range. If the S16 dropped in price enough to account for purchasing some aftermarket pads, it's the spring suspension model, and I could get some decently priced fairings, I'd consider it. The T4 pro is just the suped up Honda civic with aftermarket parts and that's hard to beat.
      Although, even with that in mind, I'd personally wanna save a little more for something a step up in a suspension EUC considering growing out of this smaller suspension selection.
