In this video, I’m riding my friend’s v11 - I just wanted to prove to myself it’s not all about the speed or how new a wheel is, any electric unicycle is a good electric unicycle as long as it is safe (functional ) and won’t burn your house down.
I’ll tell you straight away pads are an absolute necessity if you want to have fun and get down on an electric unicycle .
There’s all sorts of fun stuff happening all the time , I really didn’t think there would be too much to talk about so often. But I literally find myself having to just skip over things that are happening because so many things are happening.

All of this drama in the EUC community. Wow. When I got into this I really thought we all would have respect for each other with this acquired skill of ours. It's like a bunch of narcissist roaming around in the community and I had no idea it would be this way.
i think you are spot on- it baffled me I didn't want to imagine that this sort of stuff could be happening inside of a community based around such a novel and fun interest. I wish the best to everyone- Some folks say I have a nice voice so I talk about it , and give my 2 cents. - Some stuff is hellah spicy and we need a collective voice for it to matter. (Making changes in euc manufacturer policy and distribution things) among other things, Mikey has been really spicy about a lot of things though... For sure
it happens in all action sports. from my years on the world downhill mtn bike days from my experience is the real best riders are low key, no name recognition and they don't do organized events n races. I suspect it's tge same with euc. euc is not that difficult to push them to the max in all genres of riding. euc is really fun but they do have a bubble for performance. tariffs will force the makers to lower the costs. we won't notice as the end consumers. tariffs will make things right.

Great kit. I'm just trying to get through the trail without steppin off. I get a little air. I get my speed when I commute. BMX trails can get sketchy and some of them don't like us around.
That grizzla seat looks dope! Great video 💪
JGV, if I learn to ride my V14 in backward-facing orientation, I'll buy the Grizzla protective system. Grizzla left the foward protruding surfaces exposed. I learned recently that a solid hit on those surfaces results in a bent metal understructure and a cracked circuit board box (no longer waterproof). I wish I could upload a picture of my V14 damage. I loved Grizzla's system for my Extreme, but IMO Grizzla missed the mark on the V14. I love your YT content, but on this one, I can't share your enthusiasm on the bumper and fairing system. BTW, my daughter and I raced our V14 and Extreme up the Fullerton dam slope and the V14's superior torque won every time. Be well.😊
@@EUCme I’m communicating with them on this issue, I hope to have it resolved- I am completely stoked with the seated riding and the super fresh look of the rear taillight , like to the moon. If GRIZZLA told me to go efff myself I would have told you guys , but as of now they have hear my complaint which is yours as well and they will be getting back to me- and I’ll get back to you guys ;) Thanks for the feedback bro-
See I go back and forth about thinking it’s an issue because if you look at the price of the piece you’re talking about - I’ve had to replace them, they are dirt cheap- so when I was talking to them , it’s like they can’t really make a cheaper solution that works as well- I personally feel like aesthetically it can be a point that falls off - as I mentioned to them. But - I go back and forth with the idea of whether the front should have a bumper - but ultimately I do feel like one should be available and people can take it or leave it. Without it- it’s not like a deal breaker for me, because I have 2 minds about it - but I can see where it’s less appealing for some.
I'm on the Forum as "Maverick" and I can upload a couple of pictures if you like. I'm not talking about the plastic side panels. The front corner of the circuit board box cracked away and is now free-floating and the metal under-structure is bent. Definitely a vulnerability that needs bumper system protection. I'm sure Grizzla's Arek will respond soon. The are wonderful and I plan to use their system for my L. I love everything else about Grizzla's V14 protection and the seat is awesome. But, most people ride EUCs forward. Let me know if you want me to upload a couple of pictures on the Forum. I'm glad you are a V14 enthusiasts. 😊

Huge miss !! Trolly handle is a must. No padded seat another huge miss. Who helped designed this wheel surely ain’t thinking about the daily euc user!!
And yaknow what? That's exactly the point. They weren't trying to appeal to everyone which is a common mistake found in many other "purpose built" wheels. The daily euc user doesn't need to be thought of when a pure performance wheel is the end goal.

@@johnnygovroom They seem to be longlived and good quality. I have 61000 km on 5 wheels the past 4 yrs, the pattern seem to be SKF bearings are stronger than the orginal chinese ones. Another Swedish bearing is FAG, made by Volvo.
Great video my euc brotha except on the Marty issues. I watch his videos to find out what every new wheels weaknesses and strengths are which he provides. Brutally honest opinion. Ppl like genuine content by a genuine person. I mean the guy broke his ankles into several places trying to do his job which is to test euc. Gotta give the man his well deserved respect even if we don’t always agree on his points 😂. Like always peeling off stickers on a new euc 😜
The trolley handle and seat deficiency has already been resolved with the third-party kit. MOSFET made a video about it themselves.
I saw that- but it was a bold statement to make out of the gate and i was curious as to why- But i did see that , and it seems pretty functional! What did you think about it ???
@@johnnygovroom Thanks Johnny, I personally resonate with Jack's rationale to exclude the trolley handle, since they tend to break, and are often clunky. Nosfet aimed to purpose-build Apex, and that would mean some compromises. Kinda like asking a Porche 911 to have comfortable ride height or cushier seats.
@ you took the words out of my mouth
@@johnnygovroom Thanks for the engagement Johnny! I'll add that Nosfet has earned my respect by their responsiveness to user feedback and updated their weak components, like the adjustable teeth. They are on top of their game for this Kaizen.

Its been a lot of stuff with the Patton- I'll make a video on the state of affairs- its alot to talk about
{tl;dr. Long story short, buy the Apex before tariffs go up… but demand better sliders.} I’m not a buyer of new wheels. I’ve owned about 8 wheels so far and the only two that are worth buying new would have been the 16x and 18xl, which are currently a great value at between $600-$800 (used, good condition. Alas, no suspension. I’ve been on the edge of my seat for several years waiting for the S22 to be worthy of purchasing new, so I waited patiently for each of the issues to be addressed (power, sliders, durability/maintenance… never were these problems fixed adequately where the iterative solution was sufficient to ensure quality or longevity… it’s still hot garbage and always will be. So, I kept dropping my target price for a used version thinking that at $1000 for an S22pro would be sufficient value to justify the yearly maintenance and replacement of wearable parts (roller-sliders, air seals, etc.). Last year, i found an upgraded S22pro for $1k (when the average used price was closer to $1.5k) but I couldn’t justify the purchase because Kingsong demonstrated that the wheel would soon be discontinued, which is playing out now. Sorry, I just cannot buy anything that doesn’t have a 10 year or more lifespan because I feel it’s unconscionable to sell a used wheel that I know is hot garbage, like the Master v1 among many others. Someone bought that v1 and they’ll likely be forever jaded by the experience. This scenario has played out many times where manufacturers have abandoned a design because of inadequate engineering skills and a competitive marketplace, which is structured to encourage bad designs that are difficult to change. {The one exceptional exception to this was the Veteran Abrams, which did get sufficient factory upgrades/updates and became an outstanding choice (even today) and I would buy one for about $1k if I didn’t “need” to upgrade to suspension (being 55 and disabled)…. I still highly recommend the Abrams as a used wheel if it fits your preferences. I’ve been waiting for about 2 years to get a suspension wheel and my price target was $2k for the Veteran Sherman-S. I wanted a better BMS but my body was telling me that my patience was wearing thin. I found a practically unused SS (batch 1) with almost all the upgrades available for $2.5k and another one with 2k miles for $1.9k, which are both very good values (currently)… so I’ve got a fresh $2.5k SS and have been smiling for weeks… except for that pesky firmware issue of “gyro-drift” on sloped-turns- among other minor firmware issues that still needs fixing! If Leaperkim can do for the SS what was done with the Abrams, then the wheel is almost good enough to make it the 10 years minimum lifespan that every buyer deserves in a new or used wheel. The Sherman-L comes as close as possible to that 10 year longevity as anything on the market so far but only time will tell. {My target used price for the Sherman-L is now $2.5k with a 3 year time horizon since new, but the F22pro might be a better value in the future of Kingsong doesn’t duck it up! We’ll see.} If you’ve gotten this far, now I’ll comment on the Apex (below)…
{more tl;dr. Just buy an Apex.} I’m glad to see Jack’s efforts towards a versatile platform that offers variable height chassis positioning for alternative terrain modes of operation. It’s truly innovative and represents a milestone achieved. My criticism is that the sliders aren’t integrated with the FastAce suspension. The F22pro will be the first dual suspension wheel (although that system will also need revisions), and the Apex was positioned complete well it its chassis were made to be compatible with the Fast Ace system so that aftermarket suppliers could provide more value to the community. But, instead, we have exposed surfaces with specific lubrication requirements, that might be suitable for a meticulously fastidious anal-retentive DIYer. I’d consider buying the Apex if someone could make a FastAce adapter to the existing chassis for under $500… which means that if the Apex did have dual suspension (in series, not parallel like the f22pro),then I’d think that the Apex was worth its asking price plus another $500 for the aftermarket adapter and another $350 for the FastAce… then would really be worth $3700+$850=$4550 ??? That’s the wheel I’d like to buy in a few years at a price that would be slightly higher than the average used wheel on the market. I waited 2 years to get the Sherman-S, and the wait was so worthwhile. I’m good for another few years and hope the Apex and F22pro have things sorted out before then. So I enthusiastically support purchasing an Apex before tariffs get implemented on January 21st, 2025. If I were a retailer, I’d want a contact for 1000 units, 50% upfront for every unit delivered, 50% in escrow upon delivery of upgraded suspension module. Then I would lease the Apex for half price for 1-year with the right to return or upgrade to full dual suspension… in which case the used wheel would be worth more to a used buyer, like myself, because it was designed to be updated and improved by the community. The only ones losing out here are early adopters whom have a little more maintenance than necessary. I say buy, buy, buy… because who knows if the Dollar will be worth a fraction of what it is today. Short the Dollar, buy 100 Apexes! 😊
We have units delivering same time as xway. You and Aaron need to come down for unboxing!
You would be cool with that!?!?!?!
Of all the trails I’ve ridden, I have never used the trolley handle. Street and flat land I have. Trails if your not riding them your pushing your wheel up down or through terrain where it’s better to grip the handles or body/seat
This is where my mind sits with regard to the "trail" wheels- , in fact my v14 trolly handle just caused grief for me for so long. Fixed now- but man... nightmare sauce
