As cool as the pull tabs are, it makes using the pockets a two handed operation. One to pull and hold the tab up as they're elastic and will pull back down then another to actually grab the phone.
please review the new version! It stands up on it's own now, is lockable, has a water bottle pocket, and apparently has less structure so that you can pack more stuff into it
I really like the idea of this series on your channel! Helps us identify which products are worth purchasing and which are not :) Thanks man! Love your videos!
+Rodry J well this isn't the best example. TNF's standard backpacks (recon, router, etc) are so worth the money and actually provide adequate space for books and stuff.
Eh, I can see spending it. I likely will here with a local outfit that does custom work. I just about live out of a messenger bag, and I want it to be durable, comfortable and functional. And last for a very long time. 200-250 for something I use daily like that..... isn't so unreasonable. This north face? Yeah. Not worth it. That doesn't even really qualify as a manpurse. But others.... yeah.
What bag would you recommend for a college student who carries tech and notebooks? Budget isn't really an issue, but I would prefer not to spend an arm and a leg on a bag.
Thule TCBP-417. I've been using that backpack for three years in college and it's holding up great. It carries all my books and tech while still feeling comfortable during long walks. I also use it for travel and it fits under airline seats with no problems. Zippers are very good, shoulder straps well padded and ventilated, and back support is just right for me (I'm 5'9"). I also have the Ogio Renegade RSS 17. The biggest issue I have with that backpack is the shoulder straps. They're very short forcing the backpack to ride a little higher than usual on your back. The Ogio also has lot of space for college books but ended up being uncomfortable for me during long walks to campus and work due to the short shoulder straps.
Those army/survivalist bags from companies like maxpedition and 5.11 are great for tech. Super durable and a lot of compartmentalization for organization. And it's modular so you can add other parts on if you like.
Hi, I just wanted to comment that you have great production values, a nice voice, and a quality camera. That was a great review. Keep up the good work!
I must say. I like the back a lot. when it comes to tech bags having functionality and aesthetics it's usually one or the other. they are usually so ugly! this bag achieves a happy medium. I personally think you are not identifying a type of customer here. The ones that thrive off organisation, well thought out compartments and good looks. the speed off access is also something that shouldn't be understated. the price point is uncalled for I agree. but I can't knock it for lacking in volume. it's for those who really think about what they put in their bag- potentially minimalists. great video and decent viewpoint!
Thanks for your input Jow! There are plenty of bags out there that are great for a minimalistic approach on packing but they don't usually come with the large footprint of the Access Pack. While I'm sure a minimalist would appreciate the organization this backpack offers, I think there are better options even for them. A backpack this size should absolutely offer more space than the Access Pack does and to be honest, as of right now I don't think it's clear which customer it's truly right for.
+UrAvgConsumer I would like to know what other suggestions you have. A minimalist tech bag is exactly what I am looking for. University is approaching!
+UrAvgConsumer u the man! if you ever get a chance I'd love to see a guide on buying sleek but functional tech bags! I love the icon bags that Incase do but I draw a blank after that. As always thanks for the advice.
This is the first video I watched of yours, good job with editing and camera work. I like the bag and that would be idea for my tech for a less than a week trip. No bad
Thanks for the review because I was thinking about getting this backpack but I didn't take into consideration the limited space so thanks for the heads up.
The separate zipper compartment for the laptop is meant for traveling, I think. So you can quickly pull the laptop out to go through security. I've a noticed a lot of travel bags will do that for their laptop compartments.
im glad i end up seeing this video, because upon seeing the ad for this backpack, i was so amazed but then i saw this review and all my amazement was gone.. gotta look for another backpack then.. nice video BTW! thumbs up!
I love these backpack reviews, not a lot of people do them. Because of your videos I picked up the case logic backpack and has been great for quite some time now.
Unlike the North Face pack, I give the Dope or Nope series a DOPE, lol. This was a great video! Regardless of it being so overpriced. :P Excited to see this series expand! 👍👍
I recommend a review on the Ogio Axle!.Excellent backpack for techies and non-techies alike. Im in college, and its been a great bag so far. As usual, great vid and keep it up!
As a suggestion on this series, you should make a poll and ask us if we think it's dope or nope. I personally think it's a nope based on your comments on the backpack. Also when you put it on, it makes you look like you have a turtle shell or something of the sort.
ooooh I'm glad i watched this review. i remember when you talked about getting this bag and i went to research it. i was interested but now not so much. i like this Dope or Nope series!
As cool as the pull tabs are, it makes using the pockets a two handed operation. One to pull and hold the tab up as they're elastic and will pull back down then another to actually grab the phone.
It's only nope because of the moronic price point. It's a great bag though
Dope is a good thing, you mean it's only nope because of the moronic price point
yeah messed up the wording lol
+F7IN haha
I have to agree I wanted it till he said the price
Yep I thought it was great for my needs then the price just no
please review the new version! It stands up on it's own now, is lockable, has a water bottle pocket, and apparently has less structure so that you can pack more stuff into it
0:33 i wanted you to say built in fridge xD
some smaller company is going to do the same thing and sell it for under $50
And make a big profit lol
i know right
Wich?
Rebook
Tesla
IMO this is the ideal backpack for a city tech worker commuting on public transit
I don't know... I'm not crazy about it for public transit due to it's size.
+UrAvgConsumer and it soooooo great when it gets dirty you can just throw it in the washing machine oh wait
"...as you can see, there are no compartments you can see on this guy"
Two zipper compartments right at the front....
great review. I've been looking at this backpack and came to the same conclusion - not enough space for the price tag. Great series, keep it up!
Dope or Nope is actually a very clever name for these kind of series. I really want to see more of these!
Awesome! I'll definitely do more.
Matthias came up with it
dude. just get a Douche bag! they are the coolest
ha
its a real company...
Yh it's made for you 😉
+XTheMasterPieceX LOL
+XTheMasterPieceX thought it was a bad joke 😂, sorry bruh my bad lol
that bag is 30 dollars, the 200 your paying is because it has north face on it lol
So true lmao
Lol what. A Jansport isn't even that cheap lmao.
whats the name of the fake ones
+Aahrynn Shit my jansport was 20$ on amazon
+Glizzy Sniping does it look the same?
I really like the idea of this series on your channel! Helps us identify which products are worth purchasing and which are not :) Thanks man! Love your videos!
North face prices are insane man
+Apple you're a waitress at Applebee's shut your stupid ass up
+Blackhawks fan 94 but over 200 for that
+Rodry J well this isn't the best example. TNF's standard backpacks (recon, router, etc) are so worth the money and actually provide adequate space for books and stuff.
+Rodry J the north face only used to be for climbers and stuff like that now it is for casuals and roadmen.
+Nesquik- CSGO like Timberland boots
Am I the only one that notices the crazy amount of times he calls it this guy😂
Lol watched about a minute and about 3 already
sounds cool to me than this bag.
+Nizam Ahmed I heard 4 😂😂
I counted 9
There's always something huh? lol
At $150 I would really think about it, $235 is a joke.
UrExpensiveConsumer lol 235 for a backpack!?!? Good Video though as always 👍
i agree with you 100%
+John Barber I agree with YOU 100%
+Viking.Two I agree with you 100%

The Berg bag is waterproof, cut proof, and weighs around 1 pound on IndieGogo. They're $65 currently.
NO ONE CARRIES AS MUCH TECH AS URAVGCONSUMER. THIS KID CARRIES HIS OFFICE IN HIS BAG
Favorite channel because of the amount of uploading going on!

HydroFlask Harry hey
Hi... But who cares?
Dope for the new video series. Agreed on the nope for the backpack, especially with that hefty price point. Keep the videos coming
What bag would you recommend for a college student who carries tech and notebooks? Budget isn't really an issue, but I would prefer not to spend an arm and a leg on a bag.
an ogio bandit II or the rss renegade 17. both are under $200 or everki backpacks
I would definitely recommend the Ogio Bandit. I have it linked in my bio. It's my favorite bag right now.
Thule TCBP-417. I've been using that backpack for three years in college and it's holding up great. It carries all my books and tech while still feeling comfortable during long walks. Can't go wrong with a simple AmazonBasics.

+R3D P3ANUT I concur! That would make for a great video. shopping for a tech bag is tough!
+UrAvgConsumer u the man! if you ever get a chance I'd love to see a guide on buying sleek but functional tech bags! I love the icon bags that Incase do but I draw a blank after that. As always thanks for the advice.
Thanks, I've been debating on returning this back to REI but was waiting for your video that I knew was coming before deciding!
Really was expecting for it to charge your electronics
Dope Or Nope is a great Series keep it up!
Honeslty don't get why most tech channels review this high ass shit. Majority of us don't have that kind of money.
well so other people can see if its worth it or not
+Jalen M yeah other people but not the majority
well tech channels are tech channels, they review things that are affordable, they review things that are overpriced, thats just what theydo
Well it is interesting to say the least
