@@dcmdetects What settings do you recommend for freshwater? I've only been at the beach, so I have no idea what mode or frequency to use for a river. Mexican pesos have a lot of iron, so I'll be on All Metals. I'm watching your "Avoid This Metal Detecting Mistake" video right now.
@@MetalDetectingMermaid that's interesting about the pesos, it must be pretty awesome detecting in Mexico. I have used all three modes in freshwater. 10 or 15khz seemed to work best for me and number 2, if using beach 2, it is locked in at 8khz. I also keep my recovery at 1 or 2, you really can't swing fast in the water anyway so I have often times used 1 for recovery. I toggle all metal on. One thing that gets people frustrated using the XTerra Pro is that they many times run their sensitivity too high. Not saying you have done this but a lot of people do. The XTP can be very unstable at higher sensitivity levels. It is a very sensitive detector. I hardly ever run mine any higher than 20. Most of the time I am at 16 or 17 and at times I have been even lower. You will still find targets at good depths and there is no need to run it at 25 (that's been my experience). Experiment with the modes and the frequencies. The higher frequencies will tend to find the smaller targets more easily, that's why the default is 15khz for Park 2 and Field 2, it's more geared towards finding smaller jewelry or relics in those modes.
I agree on the iron bias setting I wish they would have added it but I'm sure if they had added it to the XTP there would have been a lot of people unhappy that bought the XTerra Elite or already own the NOX 700/900. Take what we can get I suppose. Thanks for the comment!
Pelo que entendi, eles apenas adicionaram alterações ao cancelamento de ruído para ajudar com a EMI. Eles adicionaram algo chamado “cancelamento de ruído contínuo”.
I just updated mine two days ago and will be taking it to a river in the next few days. Good video! Very clear and helpful.
@@MetalDetectingMermaid Thank you! I’ve never had any problems with the XTerra Pro in the water. Good luck on your hunt!

Works with Windows 7 too. Wish they would have added adjustable iron bias too. No iron bias adjustment is the Pro's Achilles heel.

I heard the vdi is more stable with the update
It does seem like it's a little more stable after the update
Great tutorial ! Thanks
Thanks for the comment! I tried to keep it short and to the point.
O que mudou nessa nova atualização?

doesn't work on my chromebook not compatible, nor on my iphone, unfortunately but thanks for the head-up!
Hopefully there is a solution for that
Haven't did the update to mine yet, but could you tell any difference or improvement from the update?
@@darinblackburn6023 I’m going to try to get out this weekend and see if I can tell a difference from before.
