This was so interesting and illuminating! A great way to get to know you better. Firstly, I'm not surprised you had a bit of a panic on that climb. I cannot imagine being brave enough to even contemplate that. So sad to hear that someone was killed attempting the ladder climb. Secondly, so shocked to hear about your awful experiences with a number of Austrian people. It's always a good idea to try the local food rather than just keeping with what you are familiar with. Thanks for the filming advice. We feel safer sitting inside on our sofa! 😂

This was fabulous thanks for sharing! Wow loved the first question it was great seeing these angles of you climbing oh my it was even more exciting! Oh my heart went out to you when the window was broken I could see how upset you were and I am so sorry how you both had been treated through these adventures and you did a great job just staying positive and showing us your adventures way to go. We love the way you film and all your cinematic touches. I know its tough between getting those watch hours and doing the quality you want and having time to enjoy yourselves. Ron always says the best way to explain it to others is for every minute you see of our film it takes him an hour of editing time at least. We have also struggled with the watch hours and then when you get to the one year mark you start losing hours so now we started working on 2 videos a week it is exhausting. We are making a lot of progress and hope to achieve our goal soon. Yes those watch hours are a lot of work! Keep it up we will keep watching and look back and see what we have missed. Thanks for sharing the equipment and all your stories and we can understand the flower story sometimes you have a vision and you know what you want and that is a good thing keep it up!! Well done you two don't worry you will be taking off!!!!

I love the way you structure your videos, with more cinematics and showing atmosphere of the place than talking. Please don't change that 😉😉. Thanks for sharing info about your equipment (as it happens, we use very similar stuff) and also thanks for the tips on the flower timelapse. Didn't try it yet (never have time on our trips to do time-consuming activities 😂😂) but I really want to start expanding my techniques one day 😊😊. All the best from Scotland!

Hi, Chelsea & Mike. I saw your video of Austria Sky ladder and was wondering what goes on behind the scenes. I had thought that climbing that slippery rock would be difficult with just a little practice. What was even more shocking was the story of the car window being smashed. Strange incidents happen in every country and every city, but when they happen while traveling to another country, it gives a bad image. Please be careful and stay safe while climbing the mountain. We loved the country in many ways but I’m not sure we want to go back anytime in the near future. I don't blame you for having a panic attack on the mountain even though you were attached. I did the bridge climb in Sydney, Australia and even though you're attached by ropes there was a point where they stopped to yack about the history where I had an incredible urge to yell, "Keep moving" because I was not comfortable at the spot I was stopped😁 I hear you about the watch time. It's hard to get the hours needed. t's certainly a learning experience to see what the audience likes and wants to see. Hope you're having a great weekend😊

That climb was dangerous, I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Wow didn't know Austria was like that, I've been to Germany and loved it, I thought Austria and Germany would be the same. Like our channel and the way your videos are. It's hard to put your content out the way you want it and the way RUclips analytics want it, sometimes you have give something up to get the watch time and views. Thanks for sharing this video.🙂
Germany was amazing and everyone was so so nice not one single person was rude in any way. Yeah it’s tough, we don’t want to go down the vlogging click bait route because it’s not right. We didn’t take it as a criticism. We understood 😊 Mike just prefers to put it all together and if we were to do a cinematic video for every experience he wouldn’t be able to go outside ahahaha. We have made a video for each and every country we have visited. On these tour we have only been to Germany and Austria so far and a new video is coming up soon on the new country. A via ferrata is great to do, but you have to be in shape and keep it safe. Watchtime is a problem for everybody... I like the camelbags, but it's a pain to dry them and keep them clean! You have good gear! Just keep doing what you're doing! 😊 All the best! Kaat

Yes, it’s time lapse should be used, but wow! I didn’t expect that the wind condition contributes the result. No wonder, in the last video, you gave your bestest editing skill since you promised here to make your next videos more cinematic! Enjoyed this guys great way of making the adventure more real ect But back to the Sky ladder Ferrata that did looked tuff good effort Chelsea for holding it together (many would not of 🙌🙌) And as you said Mike a full deployment of the shock absorber isn’t a good day Shame you had some issues in Austria (very sad but very honest account) For what it’s worth a lot of places here in the UK too want tourists but don’t want them if you get my meaning 🥵 Best regards guys Simon 🤠🙏🏼🏔️

OMG I almost had a panic attack just seeing that steel ladder. So long as I'm attached by a rope I'm usually fine at height ...but still. Came across your comment on Jim's @EITSD4K excellent channel. We loved Austria last year with our club and I cut my teeth on real mountain drone flying and got my first automated (but still panicked me!) warning about breaking local height restrictions. Looking forward to viewing your flights. I'll need to try that flower technique too. Btw I empathise on the watch time issue. 😞 (I've just scrolled this back to the start while I finish my comments, lol!). Atb...Terry

I grew up in Germany so I spoke very fluent German with no accent to hint otherwise. Living there for 20 years, just watching the differences in people after they had a beer with me speaking German, and then talking to someone in English (or Texan to be a little more specific) it's mind boggling! Germans are not generally very culturally accepting. They can actually be quite mean about it. I've even had a gun pulled on me in Germany (it turned out to be a "starter pistol" that could only fire blanks. As an American, I was able to carry a real gun (in the early 90's it was actually encouraged by my commander) he changed his mind really fast after looking at a real gun. BUT that was just a singular incident, mostly once they found out I was an American, they just shunned me. I got used to it. I also had the same experience in England... they were all happy about an American visiting, until he spoke German with a buddy of his... So it's kind of universal in Europe as a whole. NOW Russians or Aussies... they will party with anyone, they don't care where you're from as long as you drink and like a good fight.

This was fabulous thanks for sharing! Wow loved the first question it was great seeing these angles of you climbing oh my it was even more exciting! Oh my heart went out to you when the window was broken I could see how upset you were and I am so sorry how you both had been treated through these adventures and you did a great job just staying positive and showing us your adventures way to go. We love the way you film and all your cinematic touches. I know its tough between getting those watch hours and doing the quality you want and having time to enjoy yourselves. Ron always says the best way to explain it to others is for every minute you see of our film it takes him an hour of editing time at least. We have also struggled with the watch hours and then when you get to the one year mark you start losing hours so now we started working on 2 videos a week it is exhausting. We are making a lot of progress and hope to achieve our goal soon. Yes those watch hours are a lot of work! Keep it up we will keep watching and look back and see what we have missed. Thanks for sharing the equipment and all your stories and we can understand the flower story sometimes you have a vision and you know what you want and that is a good thing keep it up!! Well done you two don't worry you will be taking off!!!!

I love the way you structure your videos, with more cinematics and showing atmosphere of the place than talking. Please don't change that 😉😉. Thanks for sharing info about your equipment (as it happens, we use very similar stuff) and also thanks for the tips on the flower timelapse. Didn't try it yet (never have time on our trips to do time-consuming activities 😂😂) but I really want to start expanding my techniques one day 😊😊. All the best from Scotland!

Hi, Chelsea & Mike. I saw your video of Austria Sky ladder and was wondering what goes on behind the scenes. I had thought that climbing that slippery rock would be difficult with just a little practice. What was even more shocking was the story of the car window being smashed.
Strange incidents happen in every country and every city, but when they happen while traveling to another country, it gives a bad image. Please be careful and stay safe while climbing the mountain. Thank you for sharing your valuable experience.

I don't blame you for having a panic attack on the mountain even though you were attached. I did the bridge climb in Sydney, Australia and even though you're attached by ropes there was a point where they stopped to yack about the history where I had an incredible urge to yell, "Keep moving" because I was not comfortable at the spot I was stopped😁
I hear you about the watch time. It's hard to get the hours needed. t's certainly a learning experience to see what the audience likes and wants to see.

That climb was dangerous, I know I wouldn't be able to do it. Wow didn't know Austria was like that, I've been to Germany and loved it, I thought Austria and Germany would be the same. Like our channel and the way your videos are. It's hard to put your content out the way you want it and the way RUclips analytics want it, sometimes you have give something up to get the watch time and views. Thanks for sharing this video.🙂
Germany was amazing and everyone was so so nice not one single person was rude in any way. Yeah it’s tough, we don’t want to go down the vlogging click bait route because it’s not right. We didn’t take it as a criticism. We understood 😊 Mike just prefers to put it all together and if we were to do a cinematic video for every experience he wouldn’t be able to go outside ahahaha. We have made a video for each and every country we have visited. On these tour we have only been to Germany and Austria so far and a new video is coming up soon on the new country. A via ferrata is great to do, but you have to be in shape and keep it safe.
Watchtime is a problem for everybody...
I like the camelbags, but it's a pain to dry them and keep them clean!

OMG I almost had a panic attack just seeing that steel ladder. So long as I'm attached by a rope I'm usually fine at height ...but still. Came across your comment on Jim's @EITSD4K excellent channel. We loved Austria last year with our club and I cut my teeth on real mountain drone flying and got my first automated (but still panicked me!) warning about breaking local height restrictions. Looking forward to viewing your flights. I'll need to try that flower technique too. Btw I empathise on the watch time issue. 😞 (I've just scrolled this back to the start while I finish my comments, lol!). Atb...Terry

I grew up in Germany so I spoke very fluent German with no accent to hint otherwise. Living there for 20 years, just watching the differences in people after they had a beer with me speaking German, and then talking to someone in English (or Texan to be a little more specific) it's mind boggling! Germans are not generally very culturally accepting. They can actually be quite mean about it. I've even had a gun pulled on me in Germany (it turned out to be a "starter pistol" that could only fire blanks. As an American, I was able to carry a real gun (in the early 90's it was actually encouraged by my commander) he changed his mind really fast after looking at a real gun. BUT that was just a singular incident, mostly once they found out I was an American, they just shunned me. I got used to it. I also had the same experience in England... they were all happy about an American visiting, until he spoke German with a buddy of his... So it's kind of universal in Europe as a whole. NOW Russians or Aussies... they will party with anyone, they don't care where you're from as long as you drink and like a good fight.
