Verka Serduchka in 2007 was even more ahead of it's time and it got 2nd. Hatari is weird and they got top 10. It's just not about those things. If a song is weird, it needs to have a message to get a good place and Portugal didn't have that. It still should have qualified thogh.

I gave my personal votes/rankings for the ESF eurovision songs performed in the Grand Final Show. Very disappointed that Finland - Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman - Look away > wasn't chosen performing the song in the Grand Final Show. Then i gave Finland - Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman - Look away > 8 points after the ESF songs from Italy & Slovenia.
I think that Sweden was so overrated and Moldova was underrated

FRED GAMER CHANNEL Still like the song, but the performance left me a bit cold. I didn’t connect with the song when performed on stage. That’s why it dropped.

40. 🇲🇪 Montenegro: Everything about this is amateurish as hell. How did it get any points? (-4)
39. 🇮🇱 Israel: Dull and uninteresting. I felt uncomfortable seeing Kobi cry at the end of his performance. At least he has a great voice. (+1)
38. 🇭🇷 Croatia: I still find it shouty and annoying. The performance was better than the NF one. (+-0)
37. 🇩🇪 Germany: Neither me nor my sister liked it. I can see why it got 0 televoting points. (-9)
36. 🇮🇪 Ireland: Flat and unprofessional. My personal toilet break during SF2. (-6)
35. 🇦🇹 Austria: Most boring song and performance since Cyprus 2015. I give it some points for being modern. (-3)
34. 🇱🇻 Latvia: Also very boringly performed. I kinda like the melody, but the lyrics could be better. (-5)
33. 🇬🇪 Georgia: The staging kinda elevated it, but I still don't really like the song. (+4)
32. 🇲🇩 Moldova: The performance was good, but the song still feels edated. (+3)
31. 🇩🇰 Denmark: 12th place? How? (+3)
30. 🇫🇮 Finland: The singer makes the song sound worse than it is. I can see why it came last. (-9)
29. 🇵🇱 Poland: I feel bad for this one, since Poland brought something different, but their voices annoy me and the lyrics are cheesy. (-3)
28. 🇱🇹 Lithuania: It's one of those songs which are good only at first listen. I now think it's pretty basic. Yet shockingly close to qualification. (-9)
27. 🇧🇾 Belarus: ZENA slayed. But the song remains cheap. (+4)
26. 🇲🇰 North Macedonia: During the jury voting I was like "WTF?". Tamara delivered a strong performance and the staging worked for me. Still overrated though. (+13)
25. 🇷🇴 Romania: After the 1st rehearsal, I was sure this would go through. Poor Romania. (-3)
24. 🇬🇧 United Kingdom: This year's last place. Michael did all he could. Sadly the song was too generic. (+-0)
23. 🇪🇪 Estonia: I didn't expect this to qualify, but I'm okay with that. (-3)
22. 🇫🇷 France: The revamp improved it a lot. But Bilal gave a bad performance. And the idea of including an obese and a deaf dancer on stage were out of topic somehow. (+5)
21. 🇵🇹 Portugal: The performance was less good than in FdC. Seems it was too weird for the public and juries. (-11)
20. 🇦🇺 Australia: I could not explain why Australia was so high in the odds the last days. Yes, the staging was impressive. But the song itself was not winning material. 9th place sounds more reasonable, though a little more than deserved. (+13)
19. 🇦🇲 Armenia: Biggest shock of the year. Srbuk killed it on stage. What went wrong? (-4)
18. 🇭🇺 Hungary: Joci gave a great performance. Yet he didn't qualify. Shame on you Europe. (-4)
17. 🇲🇹 Malta: The staging was brilliant. And I like the song more than I used to. (+7)
16. 🇪🇸 Spain: My expectations for this were high. 22nd place was just sad. (+7)
15. 🇧🇪 Belgium: Belgium brings a good song which is ruined live, again like last year. What a bummer. (-2)
14. 🇨🇾 Cyprus: This song didn't fit Tamta. 15th place (edit: 13th place) is still decent however. (+4)
13. 🇷🇸 Serbia: Nevena was stunning. I'm surprised she didnt get more jury support. (+3)
12. 🇸🇪 Sweden: So catchy. I like it more and more everyday. (+2)
11. 🇸🇮 Slovenia: I'm happy they qualified. And 13th place (edit: 15th place) isn't bad at all. (+-0)
10. 🇨🇿 Czech Republic: The performance was pretty fun. 7 points from the televote was undeserved. (+7)
09. 🇸🇲 San Marino: I felt astonished when this qualified. And 10th place in televoting is quite an achievement. I hope this will encourage other microstates to return. (+-0)
08. 🇦🇱 Albania: Also glad for this. Jonida did a great job. (-3)
07. 🇦🇿 Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan is back in top 10! And deservedly so. (-3)
06. 🇷🇺 Russia: Sergey didn't win, but he should be proud. Reaching 3rd place twice is not an easy thing. (-3)
05. 🇮🇸 Iceland: The Palestine flags left me both shocked and satisfied. Anyway, I expected to see this higher, but 10th place is still good. (+3)
04. 🇨🇭 Switzerland: Luca Hänni turns out to be the male version of Eleni Foureira. Well done Switzerland. (-2)
03. 🇮🇹 Italy: Once again top 5, but not the winner. Italy will win soon, I'm sure. (+3)
02. 🇳🇱 Netherlands: Not very into it at first, but the live performance made me love it. A deserved winner. Congratulations Netherlands! (+5)

i have to disagree with france. the whole point/message of the song is to not fitting into the expectations or labels of society and so having a dancer that doesn't fit the classic "dancer" physique reflects that :)
Juries hurt my favorites 4 years in a row is guess I must despise them now 😂😭

@@heyitsbea7149 There is a reason that there are "dancer" physiques and its because including an obese and a deaf dancer does not allow for a more optimised performances without letting their disabilities like deafness interfere with that.

Underrated in your opinion, overrated in Tel Aviv in my opinion. Not my type of music, I can't connect with it. The 2015 Russian entry was a power ballad too but I could feel the emotions of Polina. Sergey is a great singer and performer, without a doubt, but I have to connect with a song to like it, and that didn't happen with 'Scream'. Sorry for that.
