I'm here because I clicked on a link earlier that told what the number 1 pie was for each state. Being a native of Tennessee, it was the number 1 pie for both Tennessee and North Carolina. I'd never even heard of it. Every Thanksgiving, we had most pies, Pecan, Cherry, Apple, Mincemeat and maybe a couple others. Not to mention varieties of the apple and cherry pies. I'm gonna make this for Thanksgiving.

Are you cooking this on the lower rack or middle rack?

    • @Whipitlikebutter

I cooked this pie in an electric oven and on the lower rack. Each oven is so different so that may be why took some long. Some ovens are also no at their true temperature so sometimes an oven thermometer may help. I hope you still enjoyed the recipe.
