I think the best strategy around here is to try to gain positions in the first stint with inters during 7 laps, then go on hard tires for 9 laps while driving carefully (manage tires, avoid penalties, don't fight too much for position)
After dropping the C8.R in GT2/E, i switched to the M8 and as much as i experience understeer, i manage to do well with the car. Not sure where this slipperiness comes from. That being said, i'm most likely gonna switch to the vantage once it becomes available and can hold it's own in races. If it does, i can excecute my big plans for a livery I've been dying to do after a certain team won the 24H of Spa this year! As for your tires, hards tend to be more reserved for the longest races to cut out an extra stint on the mediums from my experience. You can still run hards for a stint but it might be track dependant (N24 Nordschleife worked for me for example).
I actually had way more luck with the C8, that still felt as before, where as the M8 just felt weird and slippery. No idea why. The new Vantage will certainly be interesting, need to start the unlock process at some point. (why is that even necessary, Turn10?)
Some still might be, for example the C8 didn't change upgrade-wise, so the tune still works. On other cars like this M8 the upgrades were changed, so the tune doesn't work anymore. Not sure if I'll get to updating all of them.
The penalty system is incredibly frustrating. I strive to maintain an "S" rating and despite going 8-10 races without a penalty one off track and one bump and I'm back to "B". And then it takes another 6+ races to get back to "S". Very often I've got into a little bottleneck, rammed from behind INTO someone and boom....4-1/2 seconds....I try to drive respectfully but this is ludicrous.
Yeah, it still needs some work. When the system was announced they said they could tweak it easily. So far not much improvement as far as I could tell. 😅
Yeah I’ve just come back to forza after not doing any sim racing since March/April and I was an S when returning, 3 races later im a B and it’s mainly from just being rammed by others.

Good advice! 👍

Are your gt2 tunes up to date? Im getting back into the game and have been a fan of the gt3 tuning videos 👍

You mean the radar? Gameplay & HUD options -> proximity radar.
The braking line is killing my immersion!😭😅
Sorry. 😅
