The bike will start with the side stand down. It will kill the engine as soon as you engage a gear it’s a safety feature so you can’t ride off with the stand down.
That's true for Japanese bikes. Kickstand down plus gear engaged, it would not start at all. But this Chinese/Italian beauty wanted to run away in first gear and side stand down 😅🙄 Which is not how it should be!
Laz1Go I’ve tested both the Superdual and Rs650r and both had the side stand safety switch which worked. There have been a few instances where the switch has been faulty and this can be by passed by the owner. Perhaps this is the answer.
By law now, in Europe, all bikes have to have ABS.
