Always love seeing that big red Case IH Axial-Flow Combine and Steiger 4 track articulated tractor with a Kinzie grain cart. My boy has those toys and it made night to see it in action on this channel after many John Deer videos.
I have a 1420 International don't have a lot of acres had a lot more in the past. I just love watching them big combines green or red thanks for sharing Jason 🌽🌽🌽🚜🚜👍
Running a Case 8010 with Fd70 Macdon draper head and a IH 1680 with 1010 straight head. So far we have done yellow peas, wheat and canola . Still have soybeans and barley. Also have done oats, flax, cranberry beans in the past.
Thank you for sharing that looks like fun man i only seen these large machines in disneys pixars cars with lightning mcqueen . But too see the real machine im like ohh my god look at the size of that machine , so thats where my daughter and son get their cereal. Biggest machine i ever seen
Wonderful video great machine beautiful Case IH combine how are you today bigtractorpower Love seeing different types of tractors and combines + machine every year good job Your the best bigtractorpower keep up the good work love from UK Beautiful countryside in the USA
Very cool. I have a friend who films for me in Southern WI. 1420s are on the rare side. I would like to feature them here on the channel if possible drop me an email if you’re interested at toytractortimes@gmail.com
On average one of these machines with a 410 bushel grain tank processing 5000 bushes per hour needs to unload the grain tank about every 5 minutes unless the calculator function on my computer is working incorrectly. Given that a grain truck weigh a total of 80,000 lbs legally I believe and corn weighs 56 lbs a bushel, more or less about 1100 bushels of corn would mean it would almost take 5 trucks to haul away that much corn. That is amazing how fast they are able to handle that much material and how much coordination it takes to keep all that grain being handled to keep the machines on the move.
Interesting to see these big farms in western KY. Here in NW Iowa anything over 2000 acres is considered pretty big. Majority of farms under 1500 acres. Most operations around here are using machinery thats 10-20 years old.
The key thing here is the crop rotation. It needs big machines to move fast. Corn is followed by wheat and after wheat is harvested soybeans are double cropped in. So if you have 2,000 acres of ground you can crop 3,000 acres of grain in a year.
Many years ago we had a wagon that hooked to the pto, giving the wagon power to the wheels. My question is do the tracks on the grain carts have hydraulic motors, or just being dragged?
16 row high speed 2140 and 2150s. They used to to run 24 rows but with strip tillage now the high speed 16 rows get more acres planted in a day and following with a 16 row corn head contains compaction.
This farm had 12 row corn heads on 9120s when they had 24 rows. I do film a farm running two Kinze 24 rows and two Claas 16 rows. With GPS it works out perfect. Two 24 rows put out 48 rows and three 16 row passes rake off 48 rows.
Can I ask a rookie question? What is the horizontal fan at the back of the combine? What does the blade spinning around do? Thank you for your videos. I sincerely appreciate and enjoy them. Chip
I'm assuming u mean the fan on the back right side, its the radiator and the spinning thing is a broom to keep all of the dust and debry off of it so that It can cool the machine
It seems like a little bit of sheet metal would go a long way in preventing that plant buildup on the back of the header, and might keep more of it away from the hydraulic quick connect, too. There has to be a better way to keep them out of the dust and still quickly accessible.
The leaves and stalks stay fairly green because they sprayed with fungicide in July to strengthen them. The corn is at 18%. Drying is not an issue as it’s in the high 80s and it’s not hard to draw the moisture down.
This video was super helpful, thanks
Oh man that opening sequence was fantastic. Love the tracks and that Case IH red!!!!!!
Man, that last shot, on the headlands, corner with the lights on as light fades was beautiful! As always 👍👍👍👍
Yeah that was the best shot! I loved the big bright lights on the combine!
great video

We call them end rows around here. but yeah
THANKS! Finally something besides Green!
We Run a ‘96 2188 Axial Flow CaseIH combine- one of the most reliable machines we’ve ever owned
Again I see such great crops from western Kentucky. You have educated me on the rich agricultural value of this state. Thanks
Somebody gotta keep the whiskey plants in buisness.....

There's just something about tracked tractors/combines.
Great video.
As always, thank you for making them.
Cheers from New Zealand.
Nice video, Jason. Those are massive machines taking big swaths of corn out with each pass!
They knock out a field pretty fast.
👍👍two thumbs up Jason!! 😊
Thank you Scott.
Love the red stuff
What do you mean
Case ih
Leaf blower essential part of harvest
The combines are cleaned up and serviced every day. The leaves that build up during the day are fell off on the way out the field.

I like getting those views between the tassels as the corn head breaks out on the headland.

Thank you for watching. The 9240 is an impressive combine in corn.
bigtractorpower yes it was indeed
The Challenger MT765C was in North Yorkshire England UK
Nicely done.
Awesome video thanks
Kinze grain carts seem to be very popular in w. Kentucky.
They are in deed. Allot of farms I film at use them.
Case the best
👍👍
On our farm we harvest Beans and wheat in southern WI. We still use 2 1420 international’s. They work great. Low hours as well

They fill up in a little less than 5 minutes. They unload 12 times an hours. It’s a fast pace.

Great job
We run a case I H axle flow 7120
Nice video.

What size planter do they plant with to use the 16 row heads?
16 row high speed 2140 and 2150s. They used to to run 24 rows but with strip tillage now the high speed 16 rows get more acres planted in a day and following with a 16 row corn head contains compaction.
@@bigtractorpower Did it work alright when they did run 24 row planters? As far as the 16 row head matching up with the 24 row planters

Ich will auch mal😍🤪
Remember when a man could farm 80 acres and make a living?
Is it really a better world?
It bet ya this farmer is up to his eyes in debt
You can still do that. Just not with corn. I make a living on 40 🤙
Hi dear in the field frist from where we should start cutting the cropes from the middle or from the end of field dear
wonder what percent of the machine's hp goes to the header to process the corn stalks.
Would be nice to explain the unhooking process for us non farmers.
Is that some more of that 250 plus bushels to the acre corn? Thanks again for sharing!
A handheld leaf blower would eliminate breathing all that dust when unhooking.
When the lid on the grain tank is folded down can rain still get into the grain tank?
On older ones yes. On the new deeres they seal off. Dont know about other brands.
Why such a narrow tracks on the Quadtrac?
Does it have enough traction with them?
It is a row crop Quadtrack. The tracks fit between 30” rows. Saves track wear on field stubble.
I am suprized they don't clean the stalks from the header or combine before going down the road.
They all mostly fell off in the field on the way out. They will clean every thing off at night when they shut down.
Same thought! We always use a gas blower!
Why are they combining corn that is so green?
Somebody had to stay back and close the gate.😜
We harvest with a case ih 2166 combine and we harvest wheat, corn, and soybeans
Very nice. The 2166 is one of the greats.
What maturity corn do they plant there in western KY?
So anyone have any idea how case is gonna compete with all of the twin rotors on the market
The rumor for the past few years is Case IH has a large twin rotor on the way too.
Why would anyone want a twin rotor Case combine, when the single one does the job perfectly....twin rotor doubles the possibility of the problems...
The chopper looks so tiny on these machines, can it really distribute it even? I've never seen a axial flow in my country :(
The 9240 spreads the crop over 40ft. It does a good job.
Love seeing Case IH , seeing too much over priced green on certain video’s !
Why is the treads on implements almost always backwards from the tractor
It provides better traction!
Can please show me the video of that from your end dear
If it ain’t red keep it in the shed
👍👍
That’s a dumb thing to say..... ignorance is bliss......
We harvest with an 8240 with a 4416 and a 8120 with a 4408
Very cool.

Maxwell Strong yes.
Hello!
Hi.
Corn still looks a little green
R3MIX3D yup

bigtractorpower learned something new perfect for when I'm older and I have a farm
When thing's obvious they are surely moving a lot of corn efficiently and in a hurry.
You should do some video of potato harvest in Idaho the potato capital of the world
That would be neat to see. I do have some videos from the Wisconsin potato harvest of the way this fall
