I managed to get the build up and running in SSF with replica Frostbreath + VF of snaking with 2000 STR (character: ToothCauthon). Incredibly fun build to put together. Absolute tank in maps despite a lack of suppression.

You can league start with Brutus lead sprinkler, and fire damage and then swap to chaos/alberons I guess
There is a trauma frostbreath variant also, but without going proper str stacking it scales worse than boneshatter i think (no idea on how sprinkler performs)

This build was bonkers this league! It was my first ever melee build and i was surprised at how much i enjoyed it, both gameplay and theory wise. The damage can really go off the rails if you continue scaling strength as well (about 2100+), but it is nowhere near necessary.
Not necessary, but definitely pretty cool!
i love off meta builds , always fun to watch, when i wanted to make my spectral shield throw build , i didnt find a single player who play that in the high end game so i just made my own build in std to test it out, absolutely busted.
SST is a super fun skill, to be sure. It was all the rage a few leagues ago as a Champion build, but it has definitely fallen off in the past year in terms of popularity. Still good!

Melee enjoyer here. It's my default playstyle. I'll play any marauder ascendancy.
This league I played a ranger bow build. It was a conpletely different game.
I absolutely understand now someone who plays ranged by default would say melee is dead, because in comparison, it really is.
It's definitely at a disadvantage in the current state of the game, just by nature of having to be close rather than hitting from offscreen. Melee has its advantages, too, but the most obvious issue is pretty undeniable. There's always PoE 2!

Not before the league, but there's a very high possibility that some version of this comes back, yeah. The only change you need to make to really get it to work for 3.25 is that you will need Crown of Eyes to get that Iron Will conversion to function.

Melee is the best imo, but totems hold me back. I miss Nebuloch molten strike or earthshatter era.

You will need to use Crown of Eyes to replace the old Battlemage's Cry, but yes.
This is definately not a league starter but for 2nd character i'm thinking of it. I was always a juggernaught in heart.

How much is the cost of the build beating maven?
@@astraldreamer84 Just looking on the core items I would say a hundred divines without mageblood. Replica warpath is 20-30D, same on para in 1st month of league, iron fortress like 10 at least without corrupt, amulet a couple divines, rares are snipe material, couple divines. Dont make for 1st character next league, heist, sanctum, beast, etc uniques in the early of league are non-existant or extremely expensive.

I switched to STR stacker after the 1st week
Most fun i had in a really long time Great DMG and tanky asf i found myself dropping life mods from the tree just cuz i don't need em lol
Most importantly the more currency u pump into the more dmg
definitely starting it next league and now i am just praying for new skill gems that would work, Volcanic fissure was damn fun for fast mapping

melee is busted with Replica Alberons, when you play without you'll get the real taste of melee :) Crazy build tho, loved it this league in HCSSF. WAS A HUGE PAIN to put together.

Possibly. Battlemage's Cry was killed, but that doesn't kill the build, it just sends Strength-stackers back into the unblinking embrace of www.poewiki.net/wiki/Crown_of_Eyes.
@@PathofEvening I played a little bit with pob, you can get max block easier and get the mastery for 60% increased dmg while wielding two different weapon tupes
as a ssf player of this build u can go the phys route with trauma. than heist urself or wait till warpath is up. 2/4 bosses with ok weapons brightbeak is too good to pass on.

I’m interested in your personal experience with meta builds which have a readily identifiable subject matter expert. It seems like a weird choice to encapsulate your experience into a pseudo build guide though. It’s probably a lot more effort for you, too.
I suggest that you do what you’re doing now, but collaborate in video chat with OneManaLeft or Alkaizer to step these rehashed strong build dabbling videos to the next level and show that you are a content creator and *collaborator*.
Sounds like what Zizaran already does. Keep in mind that we are a team of 2, not a solo creator.

Most melee skills are still bad tho. As it is a melee skill, it's naturally harder to dodge enemies with that minuscule range of attack. Some melee skills that are still good don't even act like a pure "melee", a pseudo melee with range projectiles and large AOE. (Lightning strike, Frostblade, OG cyclone). As most of the POE content is in the map , the clear speed felt horrendous compared to others.
It is bad in the grand scheme of all ranged attacks. While you are struggling to balance def getting upclose and being pelted by all mobs, i am off screening everything without being touched 😂
Melee definitely makes you work harder, but it also makes you better at the game!
@@PathofEvening So true! Def satisfying if you can make such a strong build. Was just correcting that warped mindset that melee isn't bad, it takes considerable effort to make it work great while ranged has little to no downsides.
i really dont care about drop totems, mouse 5 mouse 6 klick klick, whats the problem ? I reallly dont understand people may want to hit 1button in their build ^^
A lot of people just really want to turn off their brains and use one finger to clear the entire game!
For me it’s not a problem having to click buttons, it’s about having to babysit a dumb little totem as a strong and independent ubunga man with a big stick. They make me stop smashing whenever I need to re-summon them (no leech 😢), they don’t do any damage themselves, and they for some reason make my big stick hit harder. If instead I had to click a couple of buttons to make my stick even bigger, and also on fire, I’d be happy to click those buttons.
