I always said the perfect boat mechanic would be a contortionist, bodybuilding, little person. Turns out that during WW2 one of the US aircraft manufacturers toured the various carnivals and recruited small persons as riveters because they could fit inside the wings.

I’m not sure how this boat was constructed but a lot of them the furniture is assembled and put in before the roof goes on. That’s how you end up with screws located in areas you can get to.

Reason for asking is that I plan sailing our sailboat to cayman because I am planning on starting a nano brewery.
We have a Cantieri Navali scia50 .
Living on that will be cheaper then renting.

When you get your survey done make sure you specifically ask about that area. A good surveyor should already be aware of the issue on the 400 S2.
Or better yet hire a marine engineer to inspect the area specifically as sometimes like with this boat the surveyor over looked it.
