You should have a list of farmers to check in with in case you have some load that might go well on a farm that nobody wants. There are quite often holes to fill on a farm.
Hi Luke,I can imagine you get that quite a lot on these building sites, nobody wants to take responsibility.Noticed you took it all in your stride mate, well done.Really liking the new format. Best wishes to you and the family. Stay safe and keep on truckin'.#thumbsup
Lucky to have a weigh loader.., I’ve rolled in grossly overweight many times!😳have a manual tailboard too☹️not as bad when I’m in the grab as I usually know when I’ve loaded enough.
😂😂😂 had exactly the same thing yesterday on a site in Yate with tarmac on, just spent the whole time saying “ brandwells tarmac” 🤣🤣 found it in the end but no one was forthcoming with information.. site contact went straight to answerphone too..
Luke C in a HGV 🤣🤣🤣 luckily that’s not happened “ yet” Was looking for a paver or signs of a tarmac gang, but it was a straight tip on the floor ( best kind of tarmac load imo) So frustrating though.. I feel your pain
Sometimes these construction workers can give you the runaround. I worked for Travis per kins driving a little 7.5t leyland daf 45 drop side with a tiny crane that could just about lift a 1t bag of sand or gavel and could only offload one side was a pain at times as they would tell you to drop one side and then chase mind and say the other.
Great vlog again Luke #thumbsup, I used to hate going to building site's always being told wrong gate, other end of site , can't get through because of machinery 🤬 it was endless.
Good to see you again Luke buddy nothing worse than being messed about from pillow to post Luke when there is absolutley no need to well done on keeping your cool when it would have been so easy to start giving someone a round of fryer tucks
Thank you Luke enjoyed your video as always very interesting Seeing people you look like My wife says you look like my Grandson but a bit ( Older. ) No offence Do like the way you put your videos together great. Thanks again. Take care and stay safe And safe Trucking. John Whitehouse.
Prime driver andrew, Mate, It’s probably because our trucks are much smaller and our roads are much smaller, in fact the only area where us British truckers are much LARGER than our American counterparts is in the wedding tackle department 😉 😆
What sort of licence does this require? Seems like a pretty good job, without the stress of having to stay out overnight etc. I was going to take my Class 1 just before COVID hit.
luke how do you no when to have a break does it say on your Tachograph when to stop and how long you have it is some think that i would love to do truck driver but been to scared to do scared going over your hours thanks mate take care trucker
jason antigua Yeah, all good back in the day, but I’m running with a new “smart tacho” these days, they reckon in the office that they can hear me fart in the cab and probably smell it as well ! 😆
@@alexcurt6116 so it's off ready to be reloaded again. It's company policy to have a sheet on whilst loaded and on the move. So basically, before I get reloaded it needs to come off, I can either take it off "on site" before I get loaded, or save the time and do it while "unloading" before hand.
Luke mate, how you getting on with the other drivers? You don’t seem to acknowledge many when passing etc although you mentioned in another vid one of the lads that’s now a good friend! Are they in a huff with you filming??
Yeah I acknowledge them mate, there's one or two I don't get one with but that's no skin of my nose 😂. Out of respect I try not to show other drivers so when they get close I swap cameras
Next time, if you know you are in the correct place, and they start passing you from pillar to post, and no one's helping you, just drop the load, you'll find that the site bosses will soon start barrelling over to you. Also, no one seems to speak very good English. This is what happens when taking on very cheap labour
Gate-man was a right jobsworth . Incorrectly sends you all over the place , then blames his colleagues' "grasp of English" (when they were perfectly coherent) for his obvious mistake , then gets you to self sign . Infuriating !
There seem to be an increasing number of ads in this one Luke. Four full page videos in the first 23 minutes plus countless banner ads. This seem a lot more than usual. - just saying.
Hi Tony, I do not choose how many ads are displayed. You'll probably find that it's like this actros any video you watch. The longer the video, the more ads you will see that's a matter fact. But I must admit mate, even I am tired of seeing ads on video i watch 😂.
Just put dog shit in an envelope put through to security and say you don't want the good shit I will give my dog shit ha ha 😂 say this material can last year's with the smell suage won't be the issue then ha.
Actually, we're given a set amount of work to do at the start of the day. This particular day, not only did I achieve my daily loads but I did an extra two on top for good measure. Not ONCE has anyone said "what's taking so long"
“NOBODY WANTS MY LOAD” !!
I know the feeling mate,
I know the feeling 😢 😉 😂
😂😂😂
Thank you 👍👍

Hi Lukw well there's a surprise, was'nt expecting another vid this week, so a real bonus thanks buddy really enjoyed it, stay safe.
That is the good message you put on
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that questioned the placement of that light pole in the middle of the car park lane.
I worked on that Barton park operating a dozer way back in 2016 when all the earth works was being carried out preparing it for building etc.
Looks like a big sight mate
So pleases to see you vlogging again. Cant wait for your news to be publish. Safe safe

hardest part is getting someone to sign paperwork
Communication is such a hard thing to do in modern era isn’t it? 😂
Great video have a great weekend
Well at least the boys across the pound does the same when it come to dumping or tipping.. 😆🤭🤭👍👍👍
"Just Write JA. I don't give " 😂 Maybe he was going to say signatures.... maybe something else...
He,s got a cool helmet. OO ER, Mr Gimlet.
I’m curious why are your windows so small I drive truck in the US and don’t have small windows
Not sure mate. Kinda a standard size. Everything in the US is bigger isn't it? 😂
Luke C in a HGV depends 😂
Prime driver andrew,
Mate,
It’s probably because our trucks are much smaller and our roads are much smaller, in fact the only area where us British truckers are much LARGER than our American counterparts is in the wedding tackle department 😉 😆
Luke you must as well keep it then. I knew the artic was tempera and you will back in the rigin anyways. Artic tippers are boring. Keep it up mate

You just take a rough guess . Its ok if you go over you don't get get in trouble
Yes the tachograph tells you how much driving you have done. So you KNOW when to take a break.
slick36c Just take a break when you feel like it! If you’re not too sure just don’t bother putting your card in!!!

Tipping the body up and taking the sheet off. Surely that’s wrong. What if the sheet failed and you had the body fully in the air ?
Then nothing. The sheet doesn't stop the load from coming out the back door.
Oh right. Surely you should just tip with the sheet on then in that case. If it doesn’t stop the load coming out. Why are you taking it off to tip.
@@alexcurt6116 so it's off ready to be reloaded again. It's company policy to have a sheet on whilst loaded and on the move. So basically, before I get reloaded it needs to come off, I can either take it off "on site" before I get loaded, or save the time and do it while "unloading" before hand.

Big fan luke
What happened to ur scania hgv i think that is ur truck
good video luke :)
So does everyone working on a building site say "alright love?"
No, normally it's "alright C***"
Truck driving is dull.
The money is shit.
The other people on the road is shit.
The risks are shit.
B careful jumping out tipper without hard hat on . Some sites are brutal it’s like big brothers watching u
Yeah, I'm one of those drivers who never wear one unless asked. If they ban me then no skin of my nose 😂. But I will wear one of they ask .

Yep jobsworth on minimum wage and blames everyone else when things goes wrong. You know the type there’s one in every workplace unfortunately !
Why has RUclips suddenly went mental with ads? 20 mins in and I have had about 10! Really annoying.
