I'm still working the lower tiers, especially in arty ... I do like the object 261's reload time as its no worse than a KV2's, or an M41HMC's and that can make the difference as you showed in the video

Recently Jingles posted about the new map coming in the 9.7 update which is supposed to be really large by WOT standards ... a whole whopping 1 kilometer on a side!!!! WOW doesn't that make you think you can shoot really far with your arty?
the jagdtiger just knew what nobody else does: you cap faster by sitting directly inside the flag! Exactly like you get a 10% speed bonus on roads or only shoot HE because it does more damage. DUH!

I know Art is hated but I totally disagree with this view as I think the opposite and that the game would suck without it: As for the whiners going ; 'but it ruined my game* that's true of anything that disrupts your plans when you are sure you have won; wether an unseen ambush or tanks with better Camo or view range; 'seeing' you first. The real point is that Art stops endless gulley, street blockages, punishes lemming trains and keeps players on their toes about their positioning relative to houses, rocks and other terrain that can protect them. They also balance the game by hurting the 'invulnerable' giants and thereby helping give the other non heaves a natural advantage in speed and small size to avoid it. And hell that's what spalling armor is for. I admit to playing less than 10% of my games as Art. AND it IS a talent to do it well like any other type of vehicule. Patience, timing, intuition as to if and when a target will move. I am no talent in this and yet I like many here have had 'sudden death syndrome' happen to me just like others but I will not complain about it. C'est la guerre.
Yeah right, and just like all the other clickers if WG were to ever introduce an optional "no arty" battle mode you would still choose the standard "with arty" mode whenever you played your tanks wouldn't you? Because it would be hypocritical to do other wise wouldn't it and the game "would suck without it" :D
Stephen Green Well my whole point is I DO prefer games with artillery in which is the reason I wrote what I did. I am disappointed when there is no artillery as I like killing them and think they add useful drama and dynamics. And best of all is hearing the whiners moan after they get nuked, It's what artillery does. And there are ways to avoid it just like everything else. And it IS central to warfare and the game would suck without it. So no hypocrisy on my part just a lack of understanding on yours that not everyone thinks like you do. And thank god they don't.

IWEK91 Yeah he did good, but as a non arty player i felt very sorry for all the tanks QB killed and damaged. Recently there is way too much arty again. I guess because of the missions, but 4-5 artys is just shit, even when i play light tanks.

No offense, sir...but it was very easy to notice that you are a bit unexperienced in skypigs...runing in a direct straight line after you got spotted...that's the mistake of the very beginners... And i think it totally worth trying some ap fun at the start for 3-4 shots...360mm pen can do what it's capable of... :)
László Pap If I turned left or right heavily on that medium terrain I would have lost momentum and the T54E1 would have caught me. I think I know how to avoid SPG fire more than anyone.
QuickyBabyTV Why should you move HEAVILY? The scene where T54 is shooting was of course luck (hit in the tracks), you should be dead but RNG says no. But at 10:05 you had a change to survive. T54 was already running away (look minimap), IN THIS MOMENT you should driving for example little bit left than right, feint to driving left and driving right, making a full brake, stuff like that BUT NOT DRIVING JUST FORWARD. Its to easy to pre-aim for the enemy obj 261. You had the space for that movements. You had an awesome game and the Jagdtiger did big mistakes, but in this scene you made the mistake. You are a very good player in scouts, mediums, heavys and tds, but in artys you are still a little bit unexperienced.
Just picked up a Gore's medal the other day in this arty, on the same map. Just shy of 6K damage. I normally got away from my arty days, until these PMs, and I really do want to maximize my crew, but the hard part for me is lights - I am very new to them. And I suck at them. B a d :P. But this arty remains fun, although that lack of gun arc really hurts sometimes. But it is one of the best arty to hit people on the move. It's good on Tundra, but it can rule the roost on Prok/Salient. Had another Gore's medal game on Prok a few days ago, because all those tanks that like to run the ridge or watch the hill from the western side of the tracks are often vulnerable to arty fire, and I can sometimes predict a player's movement along those plains and drop a shell right into his path because for arty the shell velocity is very high. Whereas if I play my only other arty, the LeF, it takes forever for its little shell to arrive where you want it to.
I like how this replay clearly shows how much of a bullshit "HURRR ARTY PREVENTS CAMPING" statement is. QB is targeting not the campers but most aggresive players all the time. And he actually admitted that they are doing the right thing (like this E-75) - but cancer gonna cancer.
Artillery promotes camping and boring game, mostly when there are 3 to 4 artillery on each side nobody dares to push, and exactly the ones that try some maneuvers and pushing get punished hard by artillery because simply they are the ones got spotted and out of cover. its not fun that just when you start engaging/brawling with other medium and doing what your medium tank was intended to do, then all of a sudden a mega shell lands on you taking 60% of your HP along with half of your crew and modules, then as you quickly repair tracks and start to move a second shell lands on your tank and you are finished. then you start regretting kinda "damit why the F*** did i leave the cover" . i wish arty was limited to 1 or 2 each side, more than that takes the fun out of the game.
M Barre I agree to an extent. I think 2 arty is a good amount. Whenever I see 3-4 arty per team, it's like the fire from hell raining down. It's very, very paranoid inducing. And if you're an arty, you're constantly competing with the other arties who are taking your targets as you're probably taking theirs. It's kind of off-putting. The only thing I can say about not putting the arty cap to 2 is that sometimes it really adds to the intensity and immersion of the game when artillery are firing and you constantly hear them hitting the ground in the sectors around you. It's really pretty amazing and it really adds an extra element to the game -- so long as you don't get hit.

Please make a video that educates tankies about making the most of arty support, especially getting them to spot called targets, rather than wasting hp and life attacking, good spotting and also educate tankies on how to avoid being arty magnets
It was the tiger 2 who was “stealth" at the start. At 11:35 i disagree with your comment on the jagdtiger that he should have gone aggresive, at that time he had no idea where the t54e1 was so if he went agressive and the t54e1 was on the hill he would have gotten destroyed easily. But that is just my opinion, i may be wrong.
Somehow all his shots go where he aims. When I play artillery every shot just goes around the rim of the aiming circle, no matter how contracted it is.
wilhelmmc2 If you fully aim and aren't firing at a target massively above you it more or less goes where you aim it every time, especially if you aim past the vehicle.
QuickyBabyTV You have the luck of the devil in arty QB, although, to be fair, 261 is most accurate arty in the game. In my M53/55 and my FV 3805 it's just miss after miss since 9.6 :(
I've just given up on Personal Missions.They expect you to use at least 4 types of thanks,as if it were difficult to come up with more missions for each class so I'd just have to play 1 or 2 types of tanks.
Nice one QB. Personally i think playing an arty isn't that easy, as they can play a critical role like you pointed out. Its just that they are so hated (and to all the whiners and haters here, personally i play all tanks), i sometimes even get TKed just because i'm an arty... Ofcourse i hate it when an arty almost oneshoots me, but I hate camping TD's with ridiculous camo more than the arty tbh, but maybe thats just me.
I don't know if it was mentioned before, but you might want to try playing this very Arty with AP ammunition. The possibility to do that is actually one of it's biggest strength. Bat. Chat. Arty can't do this, despite being just as precise, because it has crap penetration. But the Obj. gets a very healthy 360 pen., so it will penetrate. Might want to try that. ;-)
Thank you for the all the info in this video, I just started playing arty yesterday and I like it, currently at Tier 5 Soviet tree. Can you please advise how to move the targeting square in the map? I have to keep going back and forth with the mouse and I'm not certain I'm doing this correctly.
Hey QB, when you were engaging that IS-3 and T95, why didn't you aim between them and pick up a Bombardier medal? Those HE shells looked like they could've done it. Storm_Major out.
I got the B-C 155 58 and I would trade with the 261. The B-C can be epic, if you manage to penetrate with 1 or more shells out of a magazine or if you just finish of 3-4 damaged enemys with a clip. Is has its special moments. But it also can be frustrating like no other tank I ve every experienced on WoT. If RNG trolls you and you miss 3 out of 4 shots and do 200 DMG with a T10 arty and THEN have to take a 76 second roload in which you are just useless to your team...well you wont feel very good. So I would rather not fire an autoloader even for all this epic moments (like just fighting off 3 lights who tried to snap the arty or going TD mode in late game) and instead have the reliabilaty of 0.66 acc, decend punsh, an excellent AP round (360 pen I think) and superb reload time. Right now I am trying to get the M53/55 which is the best T9 and overall one of the best artys in the game in my opinion. But after that (T92 is just to derpy for me so I probably not gonna go there) I really want that russian arty man! Anyway, very cool video and im quite thankfully for that. This is how you should play arty and this also my way. See ya :)
They should act artillery act like a lesser armored TD line except while aiming (removing the satellite view) they can kind of mortar shots over some terrain like small hills and such. Would that be better than the current iteration of arty?

If it isn't to much to ask what kind of graphic card are you using or for that matter any one who plays this. I'm working with onboard mobo GPU a radeon 4290 512 mb I very old but this came with mobo and it was all I could afford at the time and it has been roughly a year when I built my PC for 800 back then. I have an Asus m4a89gtd pro you can look at info on this. I think I have like 12 GB of DDR 3 and a 6 core CPU an amd and a 1 tb hard drive. All of this is roughly what I have just can't remember exactly what all I have except for the mobo I remember its info
How many sacrifices did you make to RNGesus* to make sure all your shots didn't fly to edge of the reticule for that game =P. Love it when fully aimed shots hit like in this game, loathe it when they all miss in others.
What you said about arty going after the most valuable tanks if they get the shots, is a must I think. The last couple games I have played, I've been trying to hold off the dangerous tanks in a Comet (working to get my Centurion) because I get into a position to spot them and keep them spotted and my arty, more often then not, go for the weak easy tanks on like 150hp. It really annoys me sometimes because I'm even calling out the targets and typing "easy hits on these guys arty" and they go for a teir 5 medium on low hp. I don't mind arty in my matches if they are doing something useful but when they are just camping for easy kills, it really makes the matches tougher, especially when the enemy teams arty knows to go for the tanks that are gonna cause more problems. Can any arty players out there explain to me why 150 damage and a kill is better than, lets say, 750 and possibly a 1hit kill?
I always hated scumbags but like many thing in life I found experience through playing one myself and seeing the game from their perspective has changed my mind on this. I started playing arty just for personal missions to get more female crew and have become much better at avoiding being hit and killing arty in my other tanks through seeing their limitations first hand. If you want to experience playing arty but hate the long reloads and aim times then the tier 5 & 6 British could be a good start to ease you in. Artillery should either get a huge nerf on the aiming time OR only 1 artillery per game. It's just frustrating when you're doing so well and arty 1 shots you. Like if you agree
You mean you want them to either nerf what they've already nerfed or reduce the number avalible like they already did... You're like a broken record people were saying this in 7.5.
Aiming time is already high enough to prevent effective reaction firing. It's all about pre-aiming and guessing enemy behaviour. Latter is not really rocket science. Then at typical chokepoints aiming time is not really issue, arty can begin to aim way before reload is completed.

Oh God the arty hate is real in these comments. Every single time I hear someone complaining about getting one shotted, its been their own fault. A bad work man blames his tools, or in this case, he blames the enemy for doing its job. Just shut up, the only time you're going to get one shotted by artillery is when you make yourself an easy target, so dont. Thats all I'm saying on the matter as I dont want to lose even more brain cells, and subsequently have my IQ lowered by twats who want artillery removed so they can camp in their waffle and remain unharmed.
***** This one example was a lucky shot and the entirely the bat chats fault for a few reasons 1. The bat chat had been spotted long enough to know so. 2. He was sitting still in an open area. 3. He was making no effort to dodge the artillery Chew on that one Fritz.
***** The way he was driving the bat chat was completely wrong, he should have been in close range, where he does not have to aim his shots, flanking, etc, thats how you play a bat chat and if you're not going to play it properly then you will be punished. If RNG had not been on QuickyBaby‘s side then he would have hit that shot directly, and would have just splashed him, the obj. 261 way be the most accurate tier ten artillery in the game but its dispersion is still around 0.61.
***** If he is playing his tank wrong, not Just at the start of the game but all throughout it then he is no credit to his team and it really doesn't matter. Trying to take long range shots with a bat chat shows he had no idea how to play the tank, therefore he was no credit to his team. Moral of the story, he was no credit to his team therefore it did not matter that he died.
+that tea drinking top hat tipping British man batchats that push up and empty a clip at the very beginning of the game will do the clips worth of dmg but after that 99% of the time they will just die so sitting back and not yoloing into the enemy base is the right play
QuickyBabyTV I love your YT videos as you actually explain what you were doing and why you are doing so as to help teach us peons that actually listen and try to retain and put these things into action in our games (harder for me being a TD player for the most part (and some arty only going for the Conq GC (for the arc) and the 261 (for the damage) lines) how to play better. I really had to laugh at your comment at the 2min mark of the video where you say "sometimes it is upto the arty player to target the person that is going to give your team the most trouble", and then in every stream you do you complain when the arty targets you. ;) Let's face it no matter what tank and what tier you are driving in ANY match you are most likely the one player on the enemy team that is going to cause the enemy the most trouble so taking you out of the game at the earliest point in the game IS going give his the best chance at winning. Am I not correct in this assumption? Granted arty cannot afford to just sit and wait for you to be spotted he needs to be putting in effective fire down range as often as he can (fire and relocate as you reload to prevent counter arty fire). But when your tank is spotted if loaded and not actively targeting another area of the map at another visible tank you SHOULD be the priority target (for that matter any unicum player on the other team). Sure you will say yeah you are just targeting XVM stats and they are not always accurate in every situation, But as a general rule those higher tier tanks and higher games played players with good stats are going to be dangerous tanks for your team and should be targeted as early as you can.

Well not such a surprise from an orange player stat wise. Exactly what I would have expected from that JT. There you really see the big difference in map awareness and especially the gap in tactics compared to high green/blue players.
Mr12dominik12 Not in this constilation. T95 with 33% health and 15% IS-3, for killing both they must stan beside each other, than you shoot the T95. But its impossible to splash both of them to death if the gap is that big (at nleast with a Obj. 261)

pmacnz since when BatArty is OP? Shoots four weak shells during 18 seconds and then reloads over 70secs. Its dangerous only for detracked tanks with no repair kit. And still single CGC / GWe100 / T92 shell will work better.

50x times more often im shot for 1000+ dmg from causal arty then hit more then twice from bat arty burst (dealing sth like 700 dmg). If that 'autoloader shit op' would be OP or even usefull then it would be used on CW's. And dont know how 'bout you, but i never saw a Bat Arty on CW. It would be way better without autoloader, if it would be fast-firing super-mobile tier X arty. Now it is useless and a weapon only against noobs who let themselves be detrakced in med/light tank in open ground. Who will die from other tanks before you will be able to shoot them more then once.

Camping in your base, protected by your teammates, shooting people with an OP gun in satellite mode. Such skill. And when they hitting you badly ( ammorack) its mostly because of the rng.
OP gun? Most arty have horrible guns. try a 30 sec reload, with no penetration, and a small splash. My tier 8 arty, one of only 3 arty out of 30 vehicles, usually only hits for 400 damage per shot unless your are a LT. 1 out of 5 shots hits on a good day. So lets say a battle last 10 mins, I get 20 shots, 4 will hit for a grand total of 1600dmg. A LT or medium can do better. It can't one hit anything other then a LT and a LT can kill me in 2-3 shots. I just play it for a change after doing LT. MT, HT, and TDs. They have good chances to hit, arty is really all luck. MY circle can be on you covering you completely and still fly too high.
it pisses me off when artys like a t92 focus on an indien panzer instead of the e 100 sitting in the open next to you because its an easy kill. when im in my maus i understand them firing at me and to be honest i laugh because they generally do like 300 damage to me but its stupid when a tier 10 arty focuses entirely on a tier 8 for a full game.
***** Killing LT's is just self-preservation for arty. It's no brainer to try LT if he's allowing it by being stationary etc. So often team doesnt care if enemy LT get through or not so if there's good opportunity to take him out, I'd almost always would do it.
Kognak agreed a single LT could spell the doom to artys, so it's only obvious to make them priority target blame your defensive line for allowing that LT to break through
My friend, who's a 50%er, hates artillery with a passion. Like, he blames EVERYTHING on enemy artillery. "Fucking noobs! Hacker! Warpack!" and more. IMHO, artillery is great. Saves my life more than once, but let's be honest here, who wants a 5 arty on each side?

Well, nice replay. But I really don't understand why players have to apologize when playing arty... instead, or in addition, they should start apologizing if they play Tier X TDs, since playing them is a lot more easy then playing arty... every n00b can derp around in a JgdPz E100 or similar and have decent games... Nevertheless, one mistake needs to be mentioned. When you relocated, you went in a straight line forward, even allowing the enemy artillery to place a clean shot on you. Due to the cover, you could have gone more random zig zag like. Well, but should have, could have... ^^ And another lesson learned: a number of kills does not make a good player... the situational awareness does. So, I would say the JT probably cost your team this game by 1. being to passive after you saved him and 2. by staying glued behind that rock. He did not even saw the T54E1 coming - and of course, how could he ^^

The game doesn't suck without arty. When I get into the games that have no arty, I enjoy it a lot more.

Missions are the the only reason I am grinding through artillery these days.

That Jagtiger had the characteristics of a bot... Especially sitting DIRECTLY on the center of the cap.
No offense, sir...but it was very easy to notice that you are a bit unexperienced in skypigs...runing in a direct straight line after you got spotted...that's the mistake of the very beginners...
And i think it totally worth trying some ap fun at the start for 3-4 shots...360mm pen can do what it's capable of... :)

Why should you move HEAVILY? The scene where T54 is shooting was of course luck (hit in the tracks), you should be dead but RNG says no. But at 10:05 you had a change to survive. T54 was already running away (look minimap), IN THIS MOMENT you should driving for example little bit left than right, feint to driving left and driving right, making a full brake, stuff like that BUT NOT DRIVING JUST FORWARD. Its to easy to pre-aim for the enemy obj 261. You had the space for that movements.
You had an awesome game and the Jagdtiger did big mistakes, but in this scene you made the mistake. You are a very good player in scouts, mediums, heavys and tds, but in artys you are still a little bit unexperienced.

Just picked up a Gore's medal the other day in this arty, on the same map. Just shy of 6K damage. I normally got away from my arty days, until these PMs, and I really do want to maximize my crew, but the hard part for me is lights - I am very new to them. And I suck at them. B a d :P. But this arty remains fun, although that lack of gun arc really hurts sometimes. But it is one of the best arty to hit people on the move. It's good on Tundra, but it can rule the roost on Prok/Salient. Had another Gore's medal game on Prok a few days ago, because all those tanks that like to run the ridge or watch the hill from the western side of the tracks are often vulnerable to arty fire, and I can sometimes predict a player's movement along those plains and drop a shell right into his path because for arty the shell velocity is very high. Whereas if I play my only other arty, the LeF, it takes forever for its little shell to arrive where you want it to.
I like how this replay clearly shows how much of a bullshit "HURRR ARTY PREVENTS CAMPING" statement is. QB is targeting not the campers but most aggresive players all the time. And he actually admitted that they are doing the right thing (like this E-75) - but cancer gonna cancer.
Artillery promotes camping and boring game, mostly when there are 3 to 4 artillery on each side nobody dares to push, and exactly the ones that try some maneuvers and pushing get punished hard by artillery because simply they are the ones got spotted and out of cover. its not fun that just when you start engaging/brawling with other medium and doing what your medium tank was intended to do, then all of a sudden a mega shell lands on you taking 60% of your HP along with half of your crew and modules, then as you quickly repair tracks and start to move a second shell lands on your tank and you are finished. then you start regretting kinda "damit why the F*** did i leave the cover" . i wish arty was limited to 1 or 2 each side, more than that takes the fun out of the game.
M Barre I agree to an extent. I think 2 arty is a good amount. Whenever I see 3-4 arty per team, it's like the fire from hell raining down. It's very, very paranoid inducing. And if you're an arty, you're constantly competing with the other arties who are taking your targets as you're probably taking theirs. It's kind of off-putting.
The only thing I can say about not putting the arty cap to 2 is that sometimes it really adds to the intensity and immersion of the game when artillery are firing and you constantly hear them hitting the ground in the sectors around you. It's really pretty amazing and it really adds an extra element to the game -- so long as you don't get hit.

It was the tiger 2 who was “stealth" at the start. At 11:35 i disagree with your comment on the jagdtiger that he should have gone aggresive, at that time he had no idea where the t54e1 was so if he went agressive and the t54e1 was on the hill he would have gotten destroyed easily. But that is just my opinion, i may be wrong.
Now that i have reviewed the part i see the t54e1 was next to the base at the river. The jagdtiger saw this and turned back.

Somehow all his shots go where he aims. When I play artillery every shot just goes around the rim of the aiming circle, no matter how contracted it is.
wilhelmmc2 If you fully aim and aren't firing at a target massively above you it more or less goes where you aim it every time, especially if you aim past the vehicle.

You have the luck of the devil in arty QB, although, to be fair, 261 is most accurate arty in the game. In my M53/55 and my FV 3805 it's just miss after miss since 9.6 :(
I've just given up on Personal Missions.They expect you to use at least 4 types of thanks,as if it were difficult to come up with more missions for each class so I'd just have to play 1 or 2 types of tanks.

Nice one QB. Personally i think playing an arty isn't that easy, as they can play a critical role like you pointed out. Its just that they are so hated (and to all the whiners and haters here, personally i play all tanks), i sometimes even get TKed just because i'm an arty... Ofcourse i hate it when an arty almost oneshoots me, but I hate camping TD's with ridiculous camo more than the arty tbh, but maybe thats just me.
I don't know if it was mentioned before, but you might want to try playing this very Arty with AP ammunition. The possibility to do that is actually one of it's biggest strength. Bat. Chat. Arty can't do this, despite being just as precise, because it has crap penetration. But the Obj. gets a very healthy 360 pen., so it will penetrate.

Thank you for the all the info in this video, I just started playing arty yesterday and I like it, currently at Tier 5 Soviet tree. Can you please advise how to move the targeting square in the map? I have to keep going back and forth with the mouse and I'm not certain I'm doing this correctly.
This is my favorite Arty, it reloads faster than a death star and does decent damage and aim with excellent range

Hey QB, when you were engaging that IS-3 and T95, why didn't you aim between them and pick up a Bombardier medal? Those HE shells looked like they could've done it. Storm_Major out.
I got the B-C 155 58 and I would trade with the 261. The B-C can be epic, if you manage to penetrate with 1 or more shells out of a magazine or if you just finish of 3-4 damaged enemys with a clip. Is has its special moments. But it also can be frustrating like no other tank I ve every experienced on WoT. If RNG trolls you and you miss 3 out of 4 shots and do 200 DMG with a T10 arty and THEN have to take a 76 second roload in which you are just useless to your team...well you wont feel very good. So I would rather not fire an autoloader even for all this epic moments (like just fighting off 3 lights who tried to snap the arty or going TD mode in late game) and instead have the reliabilaty of 0.66 acc, decend punsh, an excellent AP round (360 pen I think) and superb reload time. Right now I am trying to get the M53/55 which is the best T9 and overall one of the best artys in the game in my opinion. But after that (T92 is just to derpy for me so I probably not gonna go there) I really want that russian arty man! Anyway, very cool video and im quite thankfully for that. This is how you should play arty and this also my way. See ya :)

They should act artillery act like a lesser armored TD line except while aiming (removing the satellite view) they can kind of mortar shots over some terrain like small hills and such. Would that be better than the current iteration of arty?
Anything that involves them not shooting you from 800 meters away I think would be better.

I looked up the definition of the word "coward", next to the description of the word there was a picture of an artillery.
If it isn't to much to ask what kind of graphic card are you using or for that matter any one who plays this.
I'm working with onboard mobo GPU a radeon 4290 512 mb I very old but this came with mobo and it was all I could afford at the time and it has been roughly a year when I built my PC for 800 back then.
I have an Asus m4a89gtd pro you can look at info on this. I think I have like 12 GB of DDR 3 and a 6 core CPU an amd and a 1 tb hard drive. All of this is roughly what I have just can't remember exactly what all I have except for the mobo I remember its info
How many sacrifices did you make to RNGesus* to make sure all your shots didn't fly to edge of the reticule for that game =P. Love it when fully aimed shots hit like in this game, loathe it when they all miss in others.
What you said about arty going after the most valuable tanks if they get the shots, is a must I think. The last couple games I have played, I've been trying to hold off the dangerous tanks in a Comet (working to get my Centurion) because I get into a position to spot them and keep them spotted and my arty, more often then not, go for the weak easy tanks on like 150hp. It really annoys me sometimes because I'm even calling out the targets and typing "easy hits on these guys arty" and they go for a teir 5 medium on low hp. I don't mind arty in my matches if they are doing something useful but when they are just camping for easy kills, it really makes the matches tougher, especially when the enemy teams arty knows to go for the tanks that are gonna cause more problems.
Can any arty players out there explain to me why 150 damage and a kill is better than, lets say, 750 and possibly a 1hit kill?
I always hated scumbags but like many thing in life I found experience through playing one myself and seeing the game from their perspective has changed my mind on this.
I started playing arty just for personal missions to get more female crew and have become much better at avoiding being hit and killing arty in my other tanks through seeing their limitations first hand.
If you want to experience playing arty but hate the long reloads and aim times then the tier 5 & 6 British could be a good start to ease you in.

Artillery should either get a huge nerf on the aiming time OR only 1 artillery per game. It's just frustrating when you're doing so well and arty 1 shots you. Like if you agree
You mean you want them to either nerf what they've already nerfed or reduce the number avalible like they already did... You're like a broken record people were saying this in 7.5.
Aiming time is already high enough to prevent effective reaction firing. It's all about pre-aiming and guessing enemy behaviour. Latter is not really rocket science. Then at typical chokepoints aiming time is not really issue, arty can begin to aim way before reload is completed.

if they where to change anyting on artys it should be smaller aiming circle and more reliable damage (around 400-600 damage on a T10 perhaps) instead of the 0-2000 range they currently got
Meh the only reason you guys are dying because you just suck ass from camping 2 much or the arty player is just 2 good but mostly it's just the player who forgot arty exists and sit in the open and then get killed and rages. Sigh

Arty loves still targets, and arty loves slow targets moving in a predictable straight path.
Also forgot to add where God games like this where you go BOOM Enemy tank explodes and BOOM again another tank blows up is one in a million lol. You'll be lucky to get one kill on a tank with 10HP left most of the time
Whoever thinks you can win in artillery just by clicking hasn't been destroyed in their base by the enemy team just pushing straight through anyway in the first one minute of the match
Oh God the arty hate is real in these comments. Every single time I hear someone complaining about getting one shotted, its been their own fault. A bad work man blames his tools, or in this case, he blames the enemy for doing its job. Just shut up, the only time you're going to get one shotted by artillery is when you make yourself an easy target, so dont. Thats all I'm saying on the matter as I dont want to lose even more brain cells, and subsequently have my IQ lowered by twats who want artillery removed so they can camp in their waffle and remain unharmed.

***** This one example was a lucky shot and the entirely the bat chats fault for a few reasons
1. The bat chat had been spotted long enough to know so.
2. He was sitting still in an open area.
3. He was making no effort to dodge the artillery

***** The way he was driving the bat chat was completely wrong, he should have been in close range, where he does not have to aim his shots, flanking, etc, thats how you play a bat chat and if you're not going to play it properly then you will be punished.
If RNG had not been on QuickyBaby‘s side then he would have hit that shot directly, and would have just splashed him, the obj. 261 way be the most accurate tier ten artillery in the game but its dispersion is still around 0.61.
***** If he is playing his tank wrong, not Just at the start of the game but all throughout it then he is no credit to his team and it really doesn't matter. Trying to take long range shots with a bat chat shows he had no idea how to play the tank, therefore he was no credit to his team.
Moral of the story, he was no credit to his team therefore it did not matter that he died.
+that tea drinking top hat tipping British man batchats that push up and empty a clip at the very beginning of the game will do the clips worth of dmg but after that 99% of the time they will just die so sitting back and not yoloing into the enemy base is the right play
If u use the extra stuff for minimap you can see where the enemy was last time it was seen. I used it and destroyed 3 Tanks with 1 shot on T92!
QuickyBabyTV I love your YT videos as you actually explain what you were doing and why you are doing so as to help teach us peons that actually listen and try to retain and put these things into action in our games (harder for me being a TD player for the most part (and some arty only going for the Conq GC (for the arc) and the 261 (for the damage) lines) how to play better.
I really had to laugh at your comment at the 2min mark of the video where you say "sometimes it is upto the arty player to target the person that is going to give your team the most trouble", and then in every stream you do you complain when the arty targets you. ;) Let's face it no matter what tank and what tier you are driving in ANY match you are most likely the one player on the enemy team that is going to cause the enemy the most trouble so taking you out of the game at the earliest point in the game IS going give his the best chance at winning. Am I not correct in this assumption?
Granted arty cannot afford to just sit and wait for you to be spotted he needs to be putting in effective fire down range as often as he can (fire and relocate as you reload to prevent counter arty fire). But when your tank is spotted if loaded and not actively targeting another area of the map at another visible tank you SHOULD be the priority target (for that matter any unicum player on the other team). Sure you will say yeah you are just targeting XVM stats and they are not always accurate in every situation, But as a general rule those higher tier tanks and higher games played players with good stats are going to be dangerous tanks for your team and should be targeted as early as you can.
Good game, might have to go up the USSR line now. I like the French SPGs best, so far...

If the Jagdtiger did camp in that bush you mention you woould still bash on him because he was a easy kill for a blind arty shot.
Should use British Artillery, the high arc makes them far more accurate then what the accuracy is on paper

Mr12dominik12 Not in this constilation. T95 with 33% health and 15% IS-3, for killing both they must stan beside each other, than you shoot the T95. But its impossible to splash both of them to death if the gap is that big (at nleast with a Obj. 261)
When that is-8 was stuck on that hill you should always aim for the engine deck

pmacnz since when BatArty is OP? Shoots four weak shells during 18 seconds and then reloads over 70secs. Its dangerous only for detracked tanks with no repair kit. And still single CGC / GWe100 / T92 shell will work better.
since it can hit and track you and damage for 700 hp and then re hit you before can repair - 4 times! stupidest idea ever!!!!!!!! Autoloading arty.. sighs
50x times more often im shot for 1000+ dmg from causal arty then hit more then twice from bat arty burst (dealing sth like 700 dmg). If that 'autoloader shit op' would be OP or even usefull then it would be used on CW's. And dont know how 'bout you, but i never saw a Bat Arty on CW.
It would be way better without autoloader, if it would be fast-firing super-mobile tier X arty. Now it is useless and a weapon only against noobs who let themselves be detrakced in med/light tank in open ground. Who will die from other tanks before you will be able to shoot them more then once.

Camping in your base, protected by your teammates, shooting people with an OP gun in satellite mode. Such skill. And when they hitting you badly ( ammorack) its mostly because of the rng.
OP gun? Most arty have horrible guns. try a 30 sec reload, with no penetration, and a small splash. My tier 8 arty, one of only 3 arty out of 30 vehicles, usually only hits for 400 damage per shot unless your are a LT. 1 out of 5 shots hits on a good day. So lets say a battle last 10 mins, I get 20 shots, 4 will hit for a grand total of 1600dmg. A LT or medium can do better. It can't one hit anything other then a LT and a LT can kill me in 2-3 shots. I just play it for a change after doing LT. MT, HT, and TDs. They have good chances to hit, arty is really all luck. MY circle can be on you covering you completely and still fly too high.

it pisses me off when artys like a t92 focus on an indien panzer instead of the e 100 sitting in the open next to you because its an easy kill. when im in my maus i understand them firing at me and to be honest i laugh because they generally do like 300 damage to me but its stupid when a tier 10 arty focuses entirely on a tier 8 for a full game.

Killing LT's is just self-preservation for arty. It's no brainer to try LT if he's allowing it by being stationary etc. So often team doesnt care if enemy LT get through or not so if there's good opportunity to take him out, I'd almost always would do it.

Armored warfare is doing arty properly. No surprise one shots from above or fully aimed misses.
Well, nice replay. But I really don't understand why players have to apologize when playing arty... instead, or in addition, they should start apologizing if they play Tier X TDs, since playing them is a lot more easy then playing arty... every n00b can derp around in a JgdPz E100 or similar and have decent games...
Nevertheless, one mistake needs to be mentioned. When you relocated, you went in a straight line forward, even allowing the enemy artillery to place a clean shot on you. Due to the cover, you could have gone more random zig zag like. Well, but should have, could have... ^^
And another lesson learned: a number of kills does not make a good player... the situational awareness does. So, I would say the JT probably cost your team this game by 1. being to passive after you saved him and 2. by staying glued behind that rock. He did not even saw the T54E1 coming - and of course, how could he ^^
