I FORCED myself to listen to the first 2 episodes of MM's podcast. It was painful. But the 3rd episode on singleness was so offensive to me as a single/never married woman that I couldn't stomach it to even force myself to listen to any more. THe definition of "child abuse" has become insane. There are always times when good parents have to say "NO" to their children. True, we like to do what we can for our kids, but there are times when parents deem it "too dangerous" or "not appropriate." And in those cases, the parent is the right person to make the decision. And anyone considering body altering "care" needs psychiatric care or at least long term counseling first. That doesn't mean a 1 hour visit. It means long term care, not to "affirm" (which is not the job of a therapist), but rather to explore what is going on with the person. Are there other issues? Why is this change desired? What do they think will be improved by this "change?" THe government has no place in these decisions.

He has a yearly exam by the physicians at Walter Reed. They would make a diagnosis . It's not elder abuse. Pres Carter is still sharp at almost 100 but Roslyn has dementia. They just announced it but you rarely saw her in public. Dementia in relatives is hard to watch. My grandma got into a tub and thought she was in a ditch and couldn't get out. She was living at her home and being checked on by relatives but she had to go to a carehome to stay safe.

I FORCED myself to listen to the first 2 episodes of MM's podcast. It was painful. But the 3rd episode on singleness was so offensive to me as a single/never married woman that I couldn't stomach it to even force myself to listen to any more. Again, that 3rd episode on singleness was so offensive, it was awful. She (& PH) deserves all the rubbish being heaped on her. And to now learn that she only interviewed 2 woman - ie A-List Celebrities, not anyone else... how lazy & also offensive to the other women! I wished PH all the best as he married Mm, but something didn't sit right with me about her, and especially with their engagement interview, yikes! She quickly soured on me, and I've not liked the couple since. It took everyone long enough to wake up on these 2 grifters. THe definition of "child abuse" has become insane. There are always times when good parents have to say "NO" to their children. True, we like to do what we can for our kids, but there are times when parents deem it "too dangerous" or "not appropriate." And in those cases, the parent is the right person to make the decision. And anyone considering body altering "care" needs psychiatric care or at least long term counseling first. That doesn't mean a 1 hour visit. It means long term care, not to "affirm" (which is not the job of a therapist), but rather to explore what is going on with the person. Are there other issues? Why is this change desired? What do they think will be improved by this "change?" THe government has no place in these decisions.

As someone who has a parent with dementia I think it is elder abuse to put Biden on the ticket again to run for president. My father just went into "jail" as he calls it, and i can't bear to leave him. I feel so protective of him. Biden's family should be ashamed of themselves.
He has a yearly exam by the physicians at Walter Reed. They would make a diagnosis . It's not elder abuse. Pres Carter is still sharp at almost 100 but Roslyn has dementia. They just announced it but you rarely saw her in public. Dementia in relatives is hard to watch. My grandma got into a tub and thought she was in a ditch and couldn't get out. She was living at her home and being checked on by relatives but she had to go to a carehome to stay safe.
