There is an ancient GTA VC mod that does something similar, but all it did was port over III's map into VC with radio, traffic, weapon pickups, etc. It also introduces motorcycles and spawns the Hunter at Phil's base, but there was no way to play the actual main story. Really cool to see the same concept revisited but with more of it actually playable.
Same thing. One of pleasure in past for me is searching way to obtain helicopter. Do you know lcs have a way to obtain legally Hunter helicopter in Carmageddon mission?

I also copied the correct text from the files that specify where the vehicles spawn, their sounds, their tire marks. All that stuff. I wasted a summer making gta 3 unstable.

I specifically remember editing Claudes skins and editing in my own face over Claude's 🤣 it definitely looked a bit mutated but was awesome nonetheless. I really wish modern GTA would let you add in your own face for GTA Online (or GTA VI Online). I'm surprised no modern games seem to have that feature even with modern advances in tech. I even recall some PS2 games letting you add in your own face into the game. Though to be fair maybe it has something to do with so many AAA games going for ultra realistic graphics and I imagine actually mapping your face may require more than just using a Webcam or camera.
@GreenLeefMusic dude I did the face texture thing too using good old photoshop cs2 I think, or gimp. It was soooo long ago, but there were a few racing games that used the eye toy camera I had that would take a shot of your face for drivers licenses. I don't even remember what games they are, but I'm fairly confident it was something similar to burnout or flatout, a crazy demo derby off road game
This is interesting. I was the lead of the GTA: Liberty City project for about a decade. I didn't watch all of it yet, but the mission at 12:15 captured my attention. The camera is supposed to pan over to each exit to show you that you're surrounded. I am not sure which mod this is, but the GTA: Liberty City mod had the entire game playable. There was only a few things we were never able to get done (the biggest being the head animations for cutscenes, which we did figure out, but never fully got it implemented). But I know this mission played perfectly and it was one of the ones that I coded.

I know GTA 3 was the first 3D game but come on Rockstar! How hard could it be to put a motorcycle in the game? Claude fits the type of guy to ride a motorcycle.
The bike idea came from a modded car but the drawback of the mod tilted the wrong way when turning. Rockstar must have seen it and decided to make it work for Vice City.
Brother, this thing needs to be released, then remastered. To become the absolute most perfect version of Gta III. (HQ vehicles, graphics mod, textures, extra features)

Nice. Having GTA 3 in such a way would make it easier to do map mods. GTA 3 itself seems to hate being messed with.
Anything to do with modifying gta 3 sucks, except for the basic model and asset swaps using img tools

You should do a mod where you get a wanted level when you get on a bike since bikes are outlawed in Liberty City during 2001.
