Just the way it is with that particular camera. I suspect their are other DJI compatible cameras with narrower field of view but this was is great in low light conditions...and that's what we've had last few months every time I go flying. Now we've got it working perfectly I'll take a look at other cameras.
@@EssentialRC I can answer my own question :-) The snag is digital HD gear seems to have been designed with drone pilots in mind. They need the wide angle view. I've been sticking with analogue FPV gear waiting for a better choice of digital gear.
Cockpit and tail same skill to fly and land. I prefer tail because I see more of the model and I'm trying to create compelling video for viewers. Wouldn't look as good from the cockpit in my opinion. I understand those who want to fly scale wanting to be in the cockpit though but it has it's issues if you want to have the canopy because most of the plastics used on these relatively cheap models distort the image and cause reflections. Tail is unobstructed as the camera is out in the air. I like that.
@@EssentialRC no worries! Have to say having wireless head tracking is so much easier than the old cables all over the place into those giant old boxes.
'Mount' you mean? I'm hoping Jason will start selling it on the Essential RC eBay shop in the near future. We'll upload a video when he's ready to do that.

Wonderful video all round Dom, great for a damp Sunday morning, cheers 👍
That does work well and adds to the enjoyments of flying model aircraft 👍🏻
Great video, maybe one day with my Fox3M, Cheers! from Quebec, Canada....
WOW…what a view😳….and the chase…filming as good as it gets😀
Great stuff. But why the huge distortion of a wide angle lens if you can look around? Not only distortion but reduced ability to judge distance.

Some great flights Dom, would you say it’s different flying from the tail view ? Very smooth 👍🏻
A lot more fun flying from that view than 'line of sight' flying.
@@EssentialRC I meant FPV from the cockpit vs tail.

@@EssentialRC interesting view, and understandable, I am far from this skill, but a interesting explanation. Thanks Dom 👍🏻

Can I ave some more?
Oh yes!
Simply Awesome!
Thanks again J!

Not urgent. Just need to eventually solve that bluetooth range issue. The TX has to be within 2-3 feet of the HT or loses connection at the mo.
@@EssentialRC yes, going to look at increasing the antenna size in the TX for the Bluetooth 👍🏻
Where can I get the moment for the tail?
Great video 👍

Cool!!!!
Makes for great video!
Pecka video 👌
