I like the way you work
It came out nice bro. Great work. I bought a corner type of tub so learning from everyone here how to build the framing.
The only thing I recommend is to get a stainless metal edges, thats what I'm adding next beacuse the tile side in the conners is not conver
Omg that's truly a professional job... alcove to a drop in...thank you for showing showing us how to FIU ... I've never thought it could be such a beautiful job...I'm sure if you have any problems jacuzzi will certainly honor anything on that install lol.
Do you pitch the tub? Does it need to be perfectly level or pitched?
can you add a jacuzzi tub if the drain is in the middle and the old is at the foot of the tub
One thing I got out of this is that you can adjust the flow of the jet. Said it alot
Well, didn't kill any brain cells and learn something out of the video thanks.
I thought the self leveling blocks on the bottom was so you dont have to use a morter bed as the tub was designed to sit directly on a level floor. Unless I am wrong about the installation of this particular tub design.
(From the framing and support section of the manual) The Jacuzzi Tru-Level® base is a standard feature on all bathtubs. If the subfloor is level and a continuous surface, no other preparation is necessary. Proceed to the “Electrical Connections” section.
I would recommend add the cement because of the weight of the motor and the water is level. I don't have any complaint about this unit, it's been working for since install and I like it.
Why is the hardie board backwards
How did you fix the leak? I installed mine and it’s leaking at the jet. Haven’t found how to remove and tighten or add some silicon. Thanks.
I don't have any leaks they added extra silicon
Would you recommend this for a second floor master bathroom?
I like it but I'm about six feet tall and it's too short for me but the wife and kids love it.
Thank you very informative. Could I add a heat pump to this? Thank you again.
Does this jacuzzi need 220 or 110 power? Thanks for the video and the information.
A dedicated 110 for the pump and a second circuit for the heater if you add one. I used this tub form my condo.
@@barryscott7175 do you know what size breaker it’s ran off of?..or did you run a dedicated circuit off your panel?
@@oddlyrightoddlyright2475 I ran a dedicated 110v 20amp circuit to run pump and heater.
@@barryscott7175 right off your breaker box or off an existing circuit in the bathroom?..thanks for the reply… I’m stuck on a install myself and not sure about electrical source.
@@oddlyrightoddlyright2475 I just checked and I added two new dedicated circuits, one for the pump and a separate one for the heater. Each breaker is 15amp. Sharing the load with another circuit is less than ideal.
I ran the Romex behind the drywall and above the ceiling through wood joists, by strategically cutting holes where needed. I don't have a crawlspace so it had to be done this way. While I was at it I ran AWG #6 in the same direction to power an EV charger on the outside of the bathroom wall, so making the most of my messy drywall cutting.
An electrician was employed to run the conductors, he guided me about the details like where there needs to be nailing plates and to be sure the holes through studs and joists are well away from where drywall screws or nails might go.
So how does that drain kit fit with the over flow? When that over flow is oblong and the drain kit is round? I wish you could of showed how that works or that kit is the wrong one...
See the recommendation on the drain in 4:34 of the video I do address what my plumber requested to install and why.
How didny yiu connect the drain and over flow?
The "whatever it's called" is the drain and overflow
I'm not a plumber just a tech guy.lol
leak city!😂 th as its n alcove tub not a drop in. so you are going to rely on the caulk joint or grout where it meets the tub flanges?? 😂😂😂
his name is Frank The Tank, not Frank the Tub 😂
Good video tanks
well done
Have you had any issues with it so far?
No issues yet thank God
Does it have an air induction valve?
Not sure sorry, I had a professional install it for me
I like the overall look. The tile on the edges of the tub doesn't look great. I do like the water spout
We are adding a stainless cover to the corner to really stand out. But this wasn't done here
What kind of spout is that?
*brand make and model
what in the unfinished edge hell is that!!
I understand that sir but he not showing how he installed it. No where in the video shows him installing it i can asure you he didnt install that one unless he some how he modified it to fit on the overflow... Maybe i should be talking to your plumber. I can see am not gonna get a straight answer. Thanks.

That cain of jacuzzi need water heater
Hey, come and install mines.
lol
That is the wrong tub for that type of application.
Whys that
Please explain
On three sides of the tub there is a flange, this is drilled and screwed to the three walls that should be there. It's an alcove tub. A drop in tub should have been used. The tile would have finished around the tub much nicer and water penetration worries me.
You are totally right. This is an alcove tub made to sit right next to studs on all sides but the front. Then it can be drilled into studs and waterproofed properly. You built a 3 sided platform for a alcove tub... you should have bought a drop in tub and built a 4 sided platform. OR keep the alcove tub and NOT build that platform and push the tub to the studs then install.
