The opening baseline to this is on pair with Would? by Alice In Chains. This entire album is phenomenal and deserves more recognition

Thanks for the reaction, this is the best one ever! Paw pushed the envelope on Vladimir Nabokov's novel much further than The Police.

In soundbite terms, Vladimir Nabokov's still controversial novel, "Lolita", upon which this song is based, is about a middle-aged professor who is obsessed with a 12 year old girl, so he connives to becomes her stepfather, and then serially molests her. Of course, it is way more complex and nuanced than that, and there are hundreds of thousands of pages of analysis of the book. But then, difficult subjects often result in great art.
Paw's lyrics (which can easily be found on The Google) graphically and uncomfortably delve into this obsession without any of the above-mentioned nuance. The singer (narrator) fully understands that what he is doing is wrong, but his morality is no match for his desires

Typical samey grunge from this period. On the plus side for me, this lot only had the capacity and ability to do 2 albums, so can't be that many more to endure. Just not for me, this genre. All the same, appreciate people like this and no disrespect to Joe🙂
