This simulator should be standard equipment for every drone that DJI sells and it should work with every controller they sell and realistically model every model they sell. There, I said it.

Not realistic enough. Power lines are invisible in real life!
I use a 8 inch tablet, and see power lines very well.
I presume you do it for a Job? I see them very easily plus all the tell tale Signs that warn me.
Get your eyes tested friend you should be a ble to see them with a half decent display.

I can see the electric power lines perfectly thru both my moverio glasses and DJI goggles!
I think, what DJI needs to upgrade in their software, is to provide additional informations, on the active drones around your flight area, to avoid a collisions 💥 This would be super beneficial.

Skills training isn’t included in the free version?! Surely that should be included for all the consumers who use drones non-commercially and want to train to use them safely, or those practising for the PfCO? Even a paid upgrade would be better than not including it at all.

I don't have my drone yet, but it is showing the skills training in the free flight area of the video, I am presuming that is where it will be at.
Probably more so that they haven't even made half of the training besides really Derpy simulations. That's why it's not just available. Also DJI is all about the accessories and DLC is probably gonna be their market for this.
No compatibility for spark/mavic/inspire controllers, seriously dji?!
Well, guess that does that. No good for me.
Connect your controller then turn it on... Go on the folder where you installed dji simulator and open the exe file called DJI USB, it is under the executable of the game. Then open the game, it works!!!
@@metoo3918 they do have spark and consumer options, just not the commercial for that. this. was for the enterprise line of drones, but the site says its a go.

@@marcocappiello02, thanks. It works. But I only have sticks and gimbal control.. and about 500ms lag. Is it the same for you? My controller is "Mavic Pro 1". I suspect it might be due to HTC Vive drivers conflicting, bc I got the message "htc vive not found" whenever I start the simulator, but who knows..
Is there not a Mac or iOS (iPhone/iPad) version? I would rather jump out of an airplane without a parachute than buy a Windows computer.

Perfect!!!! When I use to fly align 3D helicopters and for me to learn tick tocks and other complicated maneuvers, flight simulators are a life saver! Congrats DJI!!! I am getting this.

Nice software, DJI. However, as a Drone Pilot myself, the simulator version is nothing compare to the real world.. it has lots of unpredictable situations, such as magnets interference, signal lost/drop, lost capability to control, bird attack, miscarried battery, strong wind, sudden rain, strangle between cables, no flight zone, software error on your phone/tab, etc..
The real world is the situation where you have to learn how to overcome your panic and finding a fast solution to get your $1000+++ drone back safely... Everytime I fly my Phantom, I already prepared myself to let the drone lost. LoL..
The free version include interferences simulation, wind simulation, hovering issues, heavy rain ect... so, this is more than complete... stop complaining. You must not fly your drone under rain.
How much time have you had in the simulator to validate your opinion?

This simulator is amazing but I'm curious if there is a possibility to fly a drone in game with Dji mavic pro controller.
You can. Go to where you install the program, and you should see a DJI USB executive file there. Open that and open the simulator

Having a mavic pro myself which I love for photography and videography you’re better off investing in Liftoff drone simulator. Since it runs on steam so both windows and Mac are compatible and you get to practice acro mode which a lot of DJI drones don’t have the option. All you need to add to it is a cheap transmitter to connect with. Or you can use a ps3/360 controller.
This is nice.. Why doesn't DJI make a FlySim app for Android and iOS where people can experience the magic of flight with DJI Drones yet it feels like AR game. 👍
(In some countries drones are either too expensive or laws don't permit drone flight 😐)

If you have a Mac like me just use boot camp and install windows in it. You can download windows 7 which runs great in boot camp

Got it to work with a Phantom 4 and Mavic Air controller. Only partially worked with Mavic Pro controller. (No view change & No C2 command) . Phantom flew nice. Mavic Air not so realistic, drifted to much even after sticks released. Best quality 1080P video very good.
How did you get it to work with the Mavic Pro controller? Mine didn't work when I tried
@@kaspertiainen1788 I have a WIN7 machine. Plugged the mavic pro controller in via the micro usb jack. Powered up the controller, the computer detected it and after a short time it installed drivers and it was ready to go. Device Manager can be opened to see what is installed. (a COM device)

I was able to use this with my phantom 3 standard controller but not the spark controller at this time. Found it to be a pretty good experience. Now I can fly when the weather isn't nice outside.

Its a wonderfull software, but not working with some remote controls like mavic pro, mavic 2 pro, is very very very bad ! Please upgrade the simulator for this remotes !

Have you tried DRL or liftoff on steam. That's what I use to practice new tricks.
@@m.santana4162 i tried DRL. But wasn't that happy with how the quad felt... best simulator for me was GTA with race drone mod.... but still not the same as if i fly my real race drone...
@@RCnerd74 try liftoff, I think the physics are a little better than drl. drl has cool levels but the flaying always feels so.. floaty.. like moon gravity. Liftoff is a little better but I think most of the levels are smaller
