It's amazing how the genesis is pretty much a perfect port of this with just lower quality vocals

Well, the arcade version was built from a similar board to what the Genesis uses (both also rely on a Motorola X68000), just the sound chip was a better chip for the arcade machines.

Puyo puyo 1: Draco/first boss./who cant even move.
Puyo puyo tsuu: Draco/down the last floor/Which cant move perfectly but can do a 3 chain.

Maybe it's my imagination, but it seems hard to play a really polished Puyo game against this one's AIs. They are such harassers, and it seems like their garbage always hits you in the worst spots.
I have yet to even get the Masked Satan boss in normal difficulty on the Switch Sega Ages port.
