    I can't help but see, in the year 2020, how far e-sports broadcasting has come. A lot of the outside-the-game elements are cool, but the fact the game remains absolutely tiny for the vast majority of the match so we can see the players staring at the screen is deeply frustrating, it's hard to even see what they're doing a lot of the time.

  • @Kdub1V3G4C
    @Kdub1V3G4C 7 лет назад +37

    Seeing the way the blue player plays, I'm surprised he got as far as he did. He pretty much stacked the bottom every time. The other player was much more unpredictable, even launching a few early heavy chains and coming out of a few scrapes. All I'm saying is, you have to have some back-up methods if your initial approach doesn't pan out. If you cover the bottom row with about 2 layers of ojama, the blue player would have been hard-pressed to have come up with something else quickly.

    Was Puyo Puyo doing puzzle tournaments before it was cool?

  • @tecnezio05
    @tecnezio05 9 дней назад

    Okay: Puyo Puyo didn't exist in the West in 1997 and even today it is little marketed outside Japan.
    Instead in Japan in 1997 they organized competitive Puyo Puyo tournaments which were broadcast on TV and moved more people than Lucca Comics.
    But the real question is: How the fuck did Compile fail in 2001???

      @吉川りくそん, ヨッシー、この試合はかなり均等だったので、1997年にテレビでこのイベントを見たり、トーナメントが開催された場所に住んでいない限り、これはかなり均等だったと確信しています。 ぷよぷよトーナメントでの対戦。
      Yosshī, kono shiai wa kanari kintōdattanode, 1997-nen ni terebide kono ibento o mi tari, tōnamento ga kaisai sa reta basho ni sunde inai kagiri, kore wa kanari kintōdatta to kakushin shite imasu. Puyopuyo tōnamento de no taisen.
      @Yoshikawa Rukison, I do not know, Yoshi, this match was a pretty even match, so unless you saw this event on a television back in 1997, and/or live at wherever that they held the tournament, then I am convinced that this was a pretty even match up in the Puyo Puyo Tournament.

    How come neither of them went for All Clears? Sure, in the long run, they wouldn't have really mattered, but for quick attacks, they could have been pretty deadly.
