    I appreciate this video. Using two knitting needles is hard for me sometimes due to stiff hands. Love this video.

    I gave up on my knook because other tutorials say for either the knit or the perl you have to enter the stitch from left to right and I just got too frustrated. I am curious how or why the method you show here is different. You are not going into the stitch from left to right at all. Your method I think I could do.

      I looked too and watched a bunch of videos on how to knit it and I really don't think it can translate to knooking. In order to do that stitch you really need to needles. You could use two hooks but it would still be using them as needles and that isn't knooking. I think the best way to do it without knitting, is to do it with Tunisian crochet. ruclips.net/video/j8D_V71LseM/видео.html

    How is this different than Tunisian?

    • @samanthachandler6862
      @samanthachandler6862 2 года назад

      Tunisian doesn’t ever turn. You work loops onto the hook like here, but you return through those same stitches. Here, you pull a cable through and turn the work.

  • @nanoseven2176

    Nice video, but if you watch the video from the manufacturer, on their knit rows, they're going into the loop from the left, not the right, like your video is showing (particularly on your second knit row). Curious if that makes a difference or not.

      Nano Seven Was there ever a reply to this? I would really like to know the answer..

    • @amolegere1
      @amolegere1 4 года назад

      @@MrsTrishaSmith It looks to me that by coming in the right instead of the left, you're twisting your stitches. This is something you typically don't want to do, unless the pattern calls for it. I'm saying this as someone who knits rather than crochets.
      I know this is a really old comment and I'm not sure if you ever found out the answer, but I'll give one anyway in case anyone comes across this video like I just did.

    I've knit and crocheted my whole life. Knitting is only hard when you think it is, and there are two basic stitches: knit and purl. All the patterns and textures come from that.
    If you believe you can, then you can be taught, if you think you can't and need a simpler method, but you graduated from high school? What the heck???

    • @tfurloni
      @tfurloni 9 лет назад +5

      Yes, I graduated high school. My problem with knitting is having my stitches slide off the needles. Also, do to some serious attention/fidgeting issues, I find it very helpful to have something to do with my hands that does not require all of my attention. Yes, I CAN knit. That does not mean I enjoy it. It is far too taxing for me. Crochet is significantly easier for me. However, I really like the look of knitting. With knooking, I can get the look of knitting without the stress. And, should I make a mistake, it is far more forgiving. I love that there are so many ways of doing things so all kinds of people can get creative!

    Isn't this tunisian crochet?

    • @samanthachandler6862
      @samanthachandler6862 2 года назад

      It’s similar, in that your working stays on the hook. In Tunisian, your return row is worked back through those stitches as opposed to pulling a separate cable through and turning the work. You’ve probably discovered this by now but just in case😊

  • @mssher
