I do love too especially when do make it to a video. Some hermits praising interaction everytime and how it was great fun to come together and just chat and just do something even if it's repetitive or "boring" as some people might have call by breaking blocks or placing blocks. Then they just don't talk with anybody for weeks.
Those are what I live for honestly. After watching several perspectives, it's cool to know like, for instance, what impulse was doing at the exact moment the ore snatcher got caught!
I love the sewers! A suggestion for an obstacle: a dispenser filled with wind charges on a random timer. It would look like a sudden blast of steam from a steam grate, and there would be a chance it would knock someone back and make them lose a little bit of time.
9:30 i like how in chat, the ore snatcher is being discovered which is super important to the lore of this season, and impulse is just talking about TMNT
that was on scars stream. doc was mad about something, they came over to offer him help and doc lashed out against them. after collecting all of his stuff joe accidentally used one of the explosive rockets to fly off.
You should definitely add The Master Splinter’s Dojo, it could tie your base to Joel’s Japanese theme and it could also be used as a Secret fightclub pvp arena
I was gonna say, the room isn't too big, it's just missing their training equipment. A big tatami area, those wing chun striking posts, a rack for their weapons...
Impulse does not get enough credit for how hard of a grinder he is in Minecraft. He is the energizer bunny for cranking out work. The only others on this server with that level of non-stop heavy grind are Cub, Doc and Xisuma; elite company.
You should totally make a little sewer cat cameo or Easter egg from season 7. I’d love that. I’ve been listening to it a lot because I love how passionate scar was about that group! Just a little idea
Michealangelo would be hovering over the table grabbing a slice of pizza. Donatello and Leonardo are sitting on the couch with pizza already in hand, one slouched back and the other upright on the edge. Rapheal would most likely be standing behind the couch looking back towards Shredder who's trying to summon the turtles for training. Thats the most vivid picture I get when I think about TMNT and their lair.
I think it makes sense for things not to match in the Turtle lair since all of the furnishings are things they found in the sewer. They didn't go out and buy a living room set, they just grabbed what was available and put it to use. I really dig the use of brick in the lair. When it's all that solid pattern it gives it a bit of a cartoony vibe (which is probably why you don't see too many people building with it).
Awesome video, walking around safe Ancient Cities is so lovely. I once cleared out all the shriekers, emptied all the skulk (ceiling and all) and restored the city to its glory days. A super fun project, especially because it was mob-free. The amount of diamonds I found, also by raising the ceiling just a little, was staggering; hundreds upon hundreds. Lovely episode, Impulse!
Okay, so as somebody who has a tmnt turtle farm... you need a weapons rack - I used shears for nunchuks, a stick for staff, sword for sword and trident for whatever those three prong thingies. Also used cookies for pizza. Slime blocks and iron bars are good for lore. Also you can use all your extra space for skateboard ramps.
I think you should raise the water level in the sewer pipe by a few blocks so that there is only 2-3 blocks for the player to run along on the sides of the pipe then it would be easier to add obstacles and details like sewage using glass or mud for the player to parkour on in the center for a faster but harder route, kind of like how the train has 4-5 routes for the player. You could add mobs like you did in the underwater section like baby zombies or endermites that could be like rats that attack you
I'm loving the chill vibes of these videos. Obviously, there's still some RUclipsr voice, but it's a very nice break from the faked high-energy videos that seem to have taken over the majority of the internet. It's just Impy talking about his favorite show and building cool stuff and fancy machines.
And with one little trick, Impulse secures a possible rare armor trim for himself, through the use of hard work and grinding, and I'm left questioning how "well" that's going to go over with Doc since Impulse followed instructions to the "T" and therefore, can't be sued in court.
In the sewer design you should continue the water into the false pipe exits because real life sewers go all sorts of directions so the the water should look like its going in multiple directions. Also love the TMNT lair!
Heck yeah, sewer levels make every game better. Just thinking though, you have a part where you're on foot, then a part where you're swimming, it could be cool if for the final section the different paths were both above and below water to tie it all together. If you brought the copper grates and the water level up by one there could be spaces to swim underneath it.
It's funny you say this because I noticed Impulse has 6 deepslate diamond ores in his enderchest that he doesn't put with the others that he found in the ancient city. Probably just a coincidence, but you never know 🫠
An option for the TV if you want it angled... apply the banner to a shield, then you can put the shield on an armor stand and manipulate to where you want it.
Do you remember halfway through Jim Henson's _The Labrynth_ when "the cleaners" came through the tunnels? That's a cartoonish version of a real technology that's been used in the sewers of Paris for over a century. Anyway... flying machine?
I still think it would be awesome if you had an entrance into a sky scraper through a sub basement where you parkour up the tower and then have some above city course mirrors edge style, and then one of the sky scrapers takes you back under ground
This far into the season, I'm still shocked how chill Impulse's timelapse music is, and how off-the-wall charged Skizzle's is. They're such departures from the rest of the creator's vibe.
Amazing video Impulse. Your editing has improved so much from when I started watching 5 ish years ago. Also during streams It’s getting harder to tell from your voice what clips you’re pulling for videos, and it seems much more natural so kudos to you. Thank you for all the effort you go through to entertain us. Never not be yourself cause yourself is awesome.
Got sent home from work for being sick, came home to a new episode from one of my fave hermits! Still feel like crap physically, but I feel much better mentally now.
COWABUNGA!!! I remember watching that cartoon as a kid as well. I was so into TMNT that I had the bedsheets, a Mikey plush, TMNT action figures, the cartoons on tape along with the trading cards for it, all three live action movies, and the trading card set for the second movie as well. I would go through them and sort through them all the time just so I could read the backs while I was sorting them. This is a serious treat for me lol
I just came up with a crazy idea, I don't know which hermit might like this though. You could build some compact free XP booths around commonly visited areas of the server, meant primarily to "refuel" your elytra.
4:00 This is the perfect place for a SUPER SHORTCUT. like a small tunnel that allows you to skip the entire sewer session. but there is a catch, there are 2 paths. 1 super shortcut 1 super slug. which makes you crawl a full distance, with slowness. Which makes the path a double edged sword.
If there was a way to make them switch every few runs that would also be nice! Make it so after they discover it, it's not just a permanent shortcut everyone takes but a bit of a gamble. (Unless he's not expecting hermits to play this as much) You can either take one of the two paths and have high risk high reward, or practice and get good at the main path which will be slower than the shortcut but faster than the 'super slug'.
@@JediSentinal Indeed, maybe you can unlock it with a button in a earlier part of the game. But still have a ??/?? shot on the button working. and then a 50/50 shot on if you get the right path this way you cannot know if the path is open till you get there. and in a race, the path will also close if someone gets there earlier than you even though you opened it
2:45 I couldn't help but notice the water dripping down from the cave above the sewer that he's building. That would actually be a cool little addition, just an small extra touch that would feel like you're actually in a sewer.
I haven’t finished the episode but if the TMNT section is reminiscent of their underground lair in the Secret of the Ooze then I’m going to be SO excited! Favorite of those 90s movies
TMNT!!! Turtles in a half shell- Turtle Power! The sewer looks great. Fun to see those scenes come alive. Fun to see warden fun on stream! You did get a lot of diamonds from that adventure. It’s hard when diamonds hide under skulk veins! Hope you found those as well.
If youre looking for ideas for the tunnel for obstacles, you could use noise detections in random spots to do things like shoot the stair cases out from the top bottom or sides to block them from running and since they wouldnt show up they would never see it coming!
haha, LOVE the turtles' hideout. years ago a friend and i had a co-op base on tango's patreon server, and we built a sewer system under the village we made that carried all the items from our various farms to our central storage room. while my basemate was away on a trip, i totally added a little room into one of the sewer walls and did the same thing with a little turtle hangout. no fancy armor stand mods back then so they were just dyed leather armor sets, but it definitely got the point across. even added some slime in the floor under iron trapdoors to look like the ooze. the finishing touch was a noteblock tmnt theme triggered by a pressure plate when you walked into the lair. basemate loved it, and i think it was one of my fondest memories from that server. thanks for the nostalgia hit!
I have to say. This style of video making and ive been watching for years gives me the old 2012 vibe even though its modern. Especially the building montage. Its easy to follow. Not the usual "I captured 100 mobs" where everything is super cut. I love the intro too. I really enjoy this series. Its always something i forget exists and when my fyp shows me this i immediately click because i know its a high quailty, soft vibe video. Thanks dude
19:41 You know it's an interesting explanation, when Impulse talks twice the speed, making it difficult for everyone that has English as a second language to keep up.
Now the servers on 1.21, making a part of the metro mini game where breeze charges get launched at the players could be quite fun. They have to navigate while being bounced around in random directions.
I built my starter base in an ancient city bc mobs don’t spawn there, it had a lot of good loot, and the sculk would be useful for early-game enchanting. What I didn’t expect was to get 2 stacks of diamond ore while farming XP! It’s 100% worth it to clear out the sculk!
One way you could edit the corner is to turn it into a 4 way.. So you can have the 4 pipes meet at the square junction.. You could block the 4th pipe with wood or stone, like a tree root has grown down the pipe and broken through the great cover (or no grate) or to make it look like a collapsed pipe.. 💚💚
Really liked all of the ancient city content, all the way from experiencing it the intended way to cheesing it with the cooldown system. Great episode impulse!
I spent hours going through 6 ancient cities today (pre-elytra) trying to get the silence trim. Impulse casually saying he got two kinda broke me inside 🥲 Much love though I don’t wish that pain on anybody
for the sewer where you have the turn you could put the deep slate on the tunnel you are coming out of too, so the area with the turn ends up being like a t-pipe hub section
Suggestion for obstacles in the sewer: you could have one layer of water at the bottom of the pipe, to slow people down. They could choose to walk along the sides, but pistons could push blocks, forcing people back in the water, or having to jump to get further.
Mikey and Leo on the couch eating pizza, Donnie in the back at a big computer set up and Raph in the corner trying to meditate while Splinter is meditating in the back.
Impulse, between you and Bdubs, Hermitcraft videos have gotten so chill and relaxing. I'm LOVING the vibes this season, and the city is looking amazing.
Yay! Can’t wait to see what TMNT will look like. Was wondering if you were going to add water drips to the pipes like you did with the subway. I saw it was naturally there but when you said you going to drain with sponge, the dripping water effect would be gone. In a sewer pipe. Seemed natural.
At the corner pieces of the pipes you need to move the black stone blocks away about 5 or 6 blocks. Look at it as if it was pvc fittings for plumbing and how the 90s or tees look. If that makes sense.
IF you are going for sewer vibes i think slime blocks and mud for sewage and keeping the water blocks above that cause the drops from the ceiling would be cool for ambiance
For the transition to the sewers, I wonder if it would make more sense visually to have the sewer pipe continue past where it goes now, but have the bottom "rusted out" in some way (red sandstone and granite maybe? Possibly some exposed copper?) where the players enter... It's a really cool build as is though and I'm looking forward to seeing the turtles' lair all finished and decorated 🙂
If you flip the directions of the beds you used for the couch, it could look like the top of the bed is like the pillows at the ends of a couch that a lot of people have
YES!!!!! SEWERS!!!!! HUZZAH!! And the TMNT are a cherry on top! Everybody else is exploring the Trial Chambers. Impulse meanwhile is going on the dangerous adventure!
the teenage mutant ninja turtles are my FAVORITE THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD, and seeing them mixed with hermitcraft (my other favorite thing) is INCREDIBLE. i genuinely gasped. ohhhhhh yhis is my favorite one so far
I think some custom paintings would really help in certain area to help reduce the repetitiveness of all of the city as well as since you’re now 1.21 you use some newer ones
You should add collectibles throughout the run and they can take off a few seconds off your run or something but you need to go out of your way to get them and maybe get a prize if they collect all in one run
I think the shortcut in the underwater section should always be open, especially if that part is only meant to be run once per "gauntlet." The difficulty of finding it and doing it right is enough imo.
For the T-off for the pipes, instead of it being closed off it should be blocked by a "fatberg" which are caused when non-flushable items like wipes, grease, fat, and oil get into the sewer system and bundle up until its a big blockage. I think it'd be cool figuring out how you'd make it work in minecraft.
I remember the 2003 to 2007 tmnt being 1 of the best cartoons I watched as a kid. Right along with Ben 10, Tom and Jerry, generator rex, regular show, and what's new Scooby Doo.
I personally stash my stuff in ancient cities, set a bet an enderchest and a nether portal, and go in naked more or less Nothing to lose then, and gear doesnt really do much for you against wardens.
Hey, Impulse. I love the sewers. I think it would be funny if you brought a llama into the section that you designate as the TMNT lair. Give it a white carpet and name it Pizza. That would be a nice little nod to the Life Series.
I loved the timelaps you did for the lair!, I don't know what song that was but it was really soothing. I think the Lair turned out great too! I remember growing up watching TMNT too. Rafael was always my favorite.
Impulse. Check out what a T fitting looks like and it will help make that transition a bit better. I’d you add the blackstone a few blocks back then it will look like a T fitting into pipes

haha, LOVE the turtles' hideout. years ago a friend and i had a co-op base on tango's patreon server, and we built a sewer system under the village we made that carried all the items from our various farms to our central storage room. while my basemate was away on a trip, i totally added a little room into one of the sewer walls and did the same thing with a little turtle hangout. no fancy armor stand mods back then so they were just dyed leather armor sets, but it definitely got the point across. even added some slime in the floor under iron trapdoors to look like the ooze. the finishing touch was a noteblock tmnt theme triggered by a pressure plate when you walked into the lair. basemate loved it, and i think it was one of my fondest memories from that server. thanks for the nostalgia hit!
Thanks dude
Loving this seasons vibes!
Your laughter at your own fortune/misfortune at 8:13 was so infectious, couldn't help but laugh along :)
I loved the casual intro for this episode. The vibes you have for this season are great, perfect combo of casual and put-together
Just a suggestion: The sewer should be darker, maybe reduced the amount of frog lights under the copper grates.
I spent hours going through 6 ancient cities today (pre-elytra) trying to get the silence trim. Impulse casually saying he got two kinda broke me inside 🥲
Much love though I don’t wish that pain on anybody
18:16 missed a god apple in the chest too
An animatic of a run through the whole game would be so cool. The build is already insane and I cant wait for the updates (:
There was also an enchanted golden apple in that final chest where he found the swift sneak 3 book
for the sewer where you have the turn you could put the deep slate on the tunnel you are coming out of too, so the area with the turn ends up being like a t-pipe hub section
@impulseSV in the pipe section it would be cool if speed potion could randomly splash down in the pipes.
Maybe instead of brick in the lair use the new tuff brick block. It has that greenish blueish tint to it like a dirty sewer brick/stone.
You can place a carpet on top of the first block of the banner, then only the top part will show
Impulse, between you and Bdubs, Hermitcraft videos have gotten so chill and relaxing. I'm LOVING the vibes this season, and the city is looking amazing.
I really like the laid back guitar music you are playing during your building sessions.
I love how Cleo will have touch on some of the hermits bases with her armer stand work😊
As a fan of TMNT throughout the years, I'm so excited for this little addition!
IF you are going for sewer vibes i think slime blocks and mud for sewage and keeping the water blocks above that cause the drops from the ceiling would be cool for ambiance
TMNT was one of our favourite childhood shows, I'm looking forward to seeing this.
13:26 iShiftMyPants has be creasing rn
needs the the old yellow/green van they had... You can even add a tunnel in one wall that looks like it leads off to the surface or something..
If you flip the directions of the beds you used for the couch, it could look like the top of the bed is like the pillows at the ends of a couch that a lot of people have
At your T junction of the sewer, extend it by a few blocks; then add a gradient or just black concrete to show that it ends there
I’ve been on holiday for 3 weeks (visiting family) so nice to be back watching you do your thing Impulse! Phasmo catch up next!
The swimming part gives me stron Spyro2 flashbacks! love it
YES!!!!! SEWERS!!!!!
Was JUST looking for a vid to watch, this was perfect!
I think some custom paintings would really help in certain area to help reduce the repetitiveness of all of the city as well as since you’re now 1.21 you use some newer ones
It puts the biggest smile on my face when i see the hermits in their irl form in a video
The tunnel is looking so good so far!! I can’t wait to see you detail it out for the full effect! Another great episode! 💙
I am SO EXCITED for the ninja turtles scene! I think that's so fun and I love TMNT. Can't wait to see the finished area!
I remember the 2003 to 2007 tmnt being 1 of the best cartoons I watched as a kid.
Right along with Ben 10, Tom and Jerry, generator rex, regular show, and what's new Scooby Doo.
Right around the time I finished university. I had the original TMNT on VHS that we wore out we watched it so many times.
