I agree with you and would never suggest (or even consider the possibility of) cosmetic surgery for someone, but I also have seen it give someone that self confidence for themselves in such a way that they could just enjoy themselves more throughout any given day. I'm not saying it's an amazing idea with no negative side effects, but I also think it has a bit of a stigma along with it and doesn't have to be a thing that is based in pure vanity and/or sex appeal.
