Dude are you kidding three years ago I couldn’t tell the difference between a Steiger and a Deere then started watching this ....Now when we are road tripping I talk about tractors and combines until she tells me to shut up.
Brings back great memories seeing that lucky kid sitting up in the cab with his dad steering that big rig. That’s how I started too. What a great tractor!!
I feel like I'm 5 again in Dothan, Alabama watching tractors in the field when I watch your videos. Thanks to you Jason I can share my love of tractors with my kids who love tractors just as much as I do.
We had our 4586 overhauled and the original engine turned up to roughly 375hp. We fabricated a few mounts to get a little more weight on it so it could pull this same DMI disc ripper. It did it for a few years till a front axle snapped. Hell of a tractor!
Wow, that was a really windy/stormy day you filmed this one, really nice, and I remember those cold days, driving our tractors and being in a warm nice cab and listening to radio and just having a good day if nothing broke down :)
Great vid BTP👍we have same 9370 scraper version with over 20,000 hrs, 350hp, duals all round, pulling 40ft airseeder. Inside the cab we have foot value you can tap to change from high to low range which we use at headlands before turning around. Steiger are best tractors out there, early 9100 - 9200 axles used to get hot but 9300 they had it sorted but not big cab compare to today Steigers but easy to operate. When 535 Steiger was replace with next model, a lot scraper guys were disappointed because new model was lighter chassis. I got chance ride in NH version 550 gee the ride comfort has come long way n pull scraper like it was nothing. Scrapers are mainly use dairy irrigation around our area.
Good to see some DMI equipment still out there. We personally don't run DMI but a farm about 4 miles from us have a DMI Tiger 34' field cultivator. Been using it for probably 12 years. Appreciate ALL your videos Jason!! Two thumbs up 👍👍
Clocked up a few hours driving both 9370/9380 on laser buckets in Australia in the early 2000,s, fixing tyres and sleeping in some rough camps thinking I was making big money, fairly capable tractors the N14 turbo whistle is something that you should experience under full load , then send the big red girl up a dam batter at full pace , was a bit of fun at the time
This reminds me I went to jasper in and looked over a saw a tractor deep plowing digging up the water lines next to the road I bet he plowed up over a mile before someone stopped him
That’s a gorgeous tractor. I’m sure the owner is proud to have something so well kept! ...and if said owner would ever want to move it on down the road it would look real great here 🤷🏽♂️
Nice I farm with two 9370 and a 9380 case stingers we use case ih discs with ring rollers to till the ground in Tipton California it was interesting hearing about the history of my tractors that I use😃😃😃
I noticed the DMI head lead shanks in addition to the usual 7. Truth be told the ripper could probably stop the tractor dead in the right (wrong😂) conditions
S Evans you actually just reminded me of something. I watched a 9 shank Krause dominator (which requires 270 to 360 PTO horsepower) stop an AGCOSTAR 8425 (425 engine, probably around 390-400 PTO horsepower if they had one) dead in its tracks. was running good and strong and once it hit hard enough ground you heard it almost stall the tractor 😂😂😂
great video, we used to own 1 wth 24 speed (which i loved) my uncle also owns one which has the 24 speed as well. I Own a case IH 485 and would trade it in a second for my uncles 9370 if it had the same power. awesome tractor 4sure..
I drove a 9350 belonging to a neighbour some years ago. Nice tractor I think it was a 24? speed powershift. It amazing how fast they cultivate these days. I never go that fast. 3 mph with a disc plough and 6 mph while sowing is fast enough for me and my 1586 Inter. And she is pulling implements a 130 horse would pull. The 4586 will pull them faster only because she so much bigger.
You have a great channel. I love watching about the different types of farm tractors and equipment. I heard that you was interested in filming sugar cane harvesting. Go down to South Louisiana between Lafayette and Baton Rouge.
That's very clean and good looking machine 😎 I don't know about others, but i like so much more look of big 4wd tractor with "old-school" duals or triples than tracks 🤔
Yea well, this cheers me up because for the 4th time we’ve had to take the steering and all the parts around it to try and find a oil leak on the Oliver 1600. Good tractor but annoying at times.
What i want to know is what happened to No till. Here in Northwest Missouri you would be out of compliance and there for not be able to receive subsidies.
@@randym148 what are some kinda tree hugger? Farm your own ground and quit telling us how to farm ours! That black dirt is fine worked. What are you jealous?
I agree with you Randy!! I am also in MW Missouri and nearly everyone has gone no till for quite a distance from us in every direction. Inputs have gone down and yields have not suffered as a result. Much of this ground around here suffered from years of excessive tillage. Many of these farms are now recovering because of conservation tillage practices.
Funny how in the last 20yrs these big tractors have been relegated to secondary position ie. cart and harrows now that the 600hp beasts have hitched to our bigger seeders. Hey Jason ever managed to catch many FW's from the Steiger stable?
all i see is green tractors on this channel lol. that's a good lookin outfit right there. are folks starting to repower any of the 90s tractors yet? some folks turn lots of hours
The 90s tractors are in just the right spot as far as what engines were used and parts availability. The Steigers are at a distinct advantage having the Cummins engines
Agreed. Check out Mike Mitchell and the videos he does on his very large farm in Canada. He tests all the brands out there to the max in very tough conditions with the biggest implements and gives a review that is what it is.
I'm still amazed that 273k people would be down to just watch a tractor work in a field. That gives me hope for humanity.
I’ve learned a lot about different types of farm equipment watching Big tractor power.
i watch theses vids while playing farming sim 19 :D
@@mikemerrill175 there would still be subsistence farming.
Just love these videos from Jason 🇬🇧

That is great to hear. I have liked tractors all my life and enjoy getting to feature these big machines.
Those are beautiful old tractors, i was lucky enough to spend many hours running one of them over the course of 4 or 5 years.
Be careful what you’re calling old... I may resemble err remember using those tractors
Very nice
Just love watching the tractors tearing up the fields ! Enjoyed it .
😁👍👍
I have a 97 9370 and love it! I wish they still made them that way! Great video!!

I own a 4786 with the DV800 engine. Great tractor.
That man takes great pride in that tractor!
Yes they do.
Good lookin tractor has the square look of how a tractor should look like

Thanks, always enjoy big tractors and other farming equipment.
ANYTHING built by DMI was overbuilt and heavy. We had a DMI plow and ripper both were absolute beasts!
Idk about overbuilt just built right
Nice to see old 4wd tractors still workin
😁👍👍
That's a nice combination👍😉 Red tractors are always great to see 😁👍

Great Video. I love Steiger tractors since i was a Kid. Wish they were still green.
A real Steigers still is!
This case IH S is a gorgeous tractor 🚜 powerful tool it runs down field like it anything is behind it lovely tractor.

There’s plenty still out there, it’s just red like the Steigers are
We still have a Set or two of DMI gravity wagons, I'm looking for a DMI inline ripper.

I ran one of these last fall loved every minute of it!

Wow the wind noise! Sounds quite wintry!
It's really awesome.
Just a little windy that day.
I believe Wagner came first but I consider Steiger the Grandfather of 4wd articulated tractors. Great vid BTP. Take care & stay safe. Cheers
Correct, Wagner did come first, but Steiger perfected it
I really like that case tractor! still kinda looks like the ol' Steigers! Great video!!!!!!!
This body design was introduced on the Panther 1000 in 1982 and with a few fender and slight hood midi factions remained in production for 19 years.

I like that tractor.🙂
had one, one of my favorite tractors

What implements are you pulling?
Wow! There is a lot of teamed tractors like the MF-AGCO in the last video!
Thank you for watching.
Did I see lead shanks on that DMI?
Bad Ass and Beautiful Tractor.
Sweet a 1998 9370 still working just like the new 9370 hd tractor 🌻

Are those 710/70r38? They seem
Closer to the fenders than our tires of the same RCI.

Hello: ✌👍😉
Thank you for watching.
Too bad tractors need to comply emission standards. From 14L down to 8,4L. Even the bigger Steiger got only something above 12L.
3X the price for the same tractor! thats ridiculous !
Little more than 3x the price but same idea lol
The Steiger power. Is second best.
