Where the frig is the big robot that torques the oil filter on at 955 ft lbs, got a hernia trying to take that bad boy off for the first oil change. Hahah thanks for the video.
ohgodwhat1 You’re full of it. Toyota of Georgetown Ky. alone employs over 8000 and that doesn’t include all the other jobs that are created in association with the plant. Your post is ignorant at best and intentionally disingenuous at worst. ALL of these jobs are worth having here in the USA.
this is a Duramax NOT a Powerstroke. Thanks for playing though. And if you are talking about a newer LML that blew a gasket you are either a moron.... or a cry baby. It is covered under the warranty til 100k...
It was a lly with 55 k miles in my own truck. I own 33 trucks with the lly and 26 of them had head gasket issues. As for being a moron i could spend your entire net worth in a afternoon
Ahh, new money I see. You know when you get older and more mature, you will realize that falsely assuming someone's financial position will only hurt you. Your business must not be very stable/profitable. 33 trucks that are 11+ years old? We replace ours every 5. You know, taking the maximum allowable depreciation. We are just a Farm that moves horses and hay. We trade them JUST before the warranty goes out. Like a SMART, seasoned business professional. One day you will learn. What does a gasket job cost? 3500-4000? I feel that is well within the maintenance costs of a truck with 55k that you have had for 6+ years after the warranty is out. You could have traded it on a new truck with a warranty and leveraged your loss. But, As I said, that will come with experience. you could have bought 33 6.0 diesels. now THAT would be a true financial nightmare. Come out to Middleburg one day and maybe I can show you the ropes. And my car collection.
I wonder if these workers are getting paid enough?Do you feel sorry for these workers? They look like they are happy. This is why you pay double what a vehicle is worth.I know of people that can fill them Union jobs and make America what it once was.You know who these people are???????Americans!!!!!!You and me.Make a difference.
I'm not sure why it is difficult for american manufacturers to keep their assembly spaces clean. While I don't know that clean suits are necessary - as they do in Japan - but at least keep things neat and clean.
Ford used international. 7.3 was produced by international, the 6.0 was Co designed (we all saw the problems that came from those) and then the 6.4 was entirely ford (Oh yeah those were worse than the 6.0s) and the 6.7s oh they broke crankshafts from the start because I guess the engineers at ford couldn't figure out how not to make them. And if you are a dodge fan boy yea when was the last time they made a "hd" diesel? I can't think of one. Cummins has been making all of their diesel engines since the 80s. Duramax bought Isuzu and redesigned their design. Had a few injector issues and injector harness issues and then cp4 fuel pump issues which ford also uses in 6.7s which has had just the same issues. Shock.
Teamster Pride Finally! Somebody who actually knows where Ram makes their trucks. Every time I say on a video ram is made in Mexico at least 10 people are like "No their made in Michigan".
Big difference between this plant and a cummins plant.
It even has the Corp bellhousing.
If I worked here I would have THE biggest lunch pail.. LOL, few engines might go missing..
Johnny Cash tried the same thing.

Lol I was thinking the same thing. I broke the spot welds off the inside of oil wrench.
With as much as we saw of actual engine assembly, you might as well have just shown us the front of the building.

Something you don’t want to hear on a plant tour, when considering a Duramax. 00:21
"Made by Isuzu" they say.
Clearly.. American's building it..... Moraine, Ohio USA.
Isuzu where ya at..?
Isuzu designed the engine and they own 40% of the plant. It’s the opposite of apple stuff. This engine is designed by Isuzu and assembled in America.
Dmax Cummins powerstroke Americans putting it together awesome American power .

head gaskets should not fail at 55 k miles

Dura max is a junk engine your plant will be shut down once G.M. goes back to international for engines.
Victoria Louden they never used international
No, they use Isuzu
