Somebody should really make a Makai Kingdom 2. Zetta needs some coolness back.
The problem I have with Zetta's Va is that he has the voice, but not the "power" that you want to feel from it.
In Makai Kingdom you always feel that power.
I want the original voice actor back. ;-;

I like how Zetta’s voice is a good mix of power and immaturity...like the rest if Nippon Ichi Software’s protags.
What happened to Adell's voice in disgaea 2 he sounded like a badass demon hunter but he's normal now :(
they didn't get same guy back, it happens a lot in these games, what happen in D4 they manage to get Troy Baker to do voice for Val, but sadly PS4 version they got another voice actor (not sure why they didn't copy and paste the sound track)
Why the hell didn't One-Inch Zetta Beam make it into D5.
they change up the skills every game, hell Piere move set usually changes game to game
I don't hear the difference in voice for zetta. I could look it up and see but they sound similar.

Why when I saw this, I thought "This would be amazing listening to 'Tension Rising' from kingdom hearts"... Now I want to buy the dlc just so I can make that happen...

You can get him in book form (sort of) when you get Petta. She comes equipped with a Legendary *"Book Zetta (Replica)"* weapon.

I have a question, is Laharl beating Baal canon? Because when you encounter Baal in D2, he seems to be sure he beat Baal at one point. I mean, of course Baal = Most Powerful being in NIS Universe but what I'm saying is that he beat one incarnation of Baal or something like that? Or are the Baal encounters all non-canon? Because in D2, he was really sure he destroyed Baal at one point.
It's kind of confirmed-ish in Makai Kingdom.
StairwayTDH He's also the only one who appears to have beaten Baal by himself since it was only him and Etna in the cutscene and Etna appears to have done nothing in the fight during the post battle cutscene.
Baal is the most powerful being in the NIS verse? Gig has something to say about that.
I read somewhere that the canon stated FINAL Death of Baal was at the hands of Dark Lord Valvoga The Star Overlord. The info came from one of the non-Disgaea games that still kind of takes place in the multi-verse.
Baal fights are not really canon unless its stated in their main story.
If laharl beat baal twice and then laharl got mopped by true zenon in disgaea 2 that means baal is a fodder compared to true zenon

I have a couple of dlc's and all of them went down in basically one hit (I overleveled to kill xenolith). Not saying it should be as hard as in d4 but some level of difficulty would be nice.
Is Zetta's sword stronger than the Baal Sword?
No, but for the "rank" it's at for DLC weapons, it's one of the strongest, up next to Prier/O.Priere's weapons.
For best Staff of DLC is Metallia's which is better then the special one you get from Pure Flonne with +5 hearts.
PLOT HOLE. Either Laharl appearing in Makai Kingdom is or is not canon.
-If it is, Laharl should recognise Zetta.
-If it isn't, then why did he say he had a score to settle with Zetta?
This is NIS craziness dood, it doesn't completely make sense.
Going by that logic Laharl, Etna, and Flonne should know who Eclair is from their cameo appearance in La Pucelle: Ragnarok.
ptbwf I know this is from a year ago... but I think you guys keep forgetting this is dimension 2. In this dimension Disgaea 2 never happened, this is one of the possible outcomes of the universe, Disgaea 2 - 4 followed one path in which the main character changes, Disgaea D2 Follows another one where Laharl is the main character in every game (Which is only 2 games so far).
SoulPhantom Incorrect. Disgaea D2 takes place before Disgaea 2, and its story is a retcon in relation to the later games concerning the trio(Disgaea 5 has Sicily and other D2 characters as dlc, so Disgaea 5 might be the first to recognise the retcon). D2 is only considered a spin off because it is not a official numbered installment with brand new main characters and story, and the post game is not nearly as long or deep as the last few games.. D2 is the actual sequel of Disgaea 1.
SoulPhantom "Dimensions 2" is really more akin to a "part 2" as the title is really indicating that Disgaea 1 was "Dimensions 1". If Disgaea 2 were to get a sequel for example, it would be titled: "Disgaea 2:Dimensions 2", because the "Dimensions" part tells you that the game will take place in the same universe as Disgaea 2, and the "2" would indicate it is the 2nd part of that universe's tale.
Laharl fought Zetta when he was a book in Makai Kingdom, so he wouldn't be familiar with his human appearance.
One thing I have clearly inferred from all this. The strength order between games is now crystal clear. Disagea 3 team is the strongest, then Disagea D2 team, then Disagea 4 team, then Disagea 2 team.
Disagea D2 team defeats Zetta, but loses to Gig. Disagea 3 team doesn't encounter Zetta but defeats Gig. Therefore D3 team> Disagea D2 team.
Disagea D2 team includes Empowered!Etna, who defeats Fake!Zenon when the Disagea 2 team could not. Therefore D2 team>Disagea 2 team. Similar logic applies to the Disagea 4 team, as they lost to Overlord Priere who lost to the Disagea D2 team.
As for Disagea 4 v.s Disagea 2? Ignoring Real!Zenon or Tyrant!Valvatorez, it can't be established with certainty but there are clues.
-Rozalin loses to Emiezel in a DLC. Judging from the dialogue, in-story she loses one-on-one.
-Valvatorez fought Fear the Great, a system created by God. The Disagea 2 team fought Fake!Zenon, an imposter Overlord.
So most likely D4 beats D2.

dlc isn't canon defeating zetta means nothing if its dlc. Disgaea infinite states baal is the strongest being in the universe holding an equivalent position to zetta's during his game (who was the strongest i am not sure how that one ended though so he might have gotten a huge power drop in his main form (never finished it)) Both of which are weaker than the godlike being that cursed the babylon getting rid of 99.999x% of his power when he was excepted as the strongest being stronger than both zetta and baal put together easily. anyway infinite also states that zenon the real one is one step below full power baal as second strongest being in the universe besides the one person from makai kingdom that cursed babylon. Furthermore adell in his noncanon bad ending kills true zenons body so we shouldn't put him too far below the others. i would actually make him comparable to mao and slightly less than laharl. then again fake zenon was a notable overlord before impersonating zenon and had all the power of an entire world's life force to back him up/purity if you want to go that route and 1v1'd a full power etna who is comparable to laharl forcing her to retreat. This makes me believe that he was atleast compairable to aurums final form
