Nope. Both teams had TDs reversed on very questionable holding calls so that's a wash. VT had 2 players wearing #17 on the field on their 58 yard field goal, that should have nullified that. Finally, replay showed the ball was moving and was then possessed by a Miami defender out of bound, incomplete pass.
Horrible analysis.. bs holding against miami.. took away a td. Next play int.. Kirk is getting old.. that ball was moving around all the way to the ground . Should have never been called a td
We live in a blame world. The refs got this call wrong to begin with. It was not a catch. The receiver never had control. The ACC statement says this, "The ACC issued a statement regarding the overturn of the Virginia Tech Hail Mary on the final play of the game versus Miami on Friday night. Once a Miami player who was out of bounds touched the ball, the play was dead. The question of whether or not the play was a catch at that point is moot." That's simply not true and a lie. It doesn't matter where the defender is or was. Inbound or out of bounds is irrelevant. Any other catch anywhere on the field for an offensive receiver only requires him to be inbounds for a completed catch. It doesn't matter where the defender is. Therefore, this ACC statement is not only bogus, its worse. It teaches these young people and all society to blame others when you, the officials fail, get it wrong, don't do your job with competence, and are downright delinquent in taking responsibility for your actions and behavior of getting the initial call on the field wrong in the first place. And this is the realm of so called higher education, where people think they're superior and greater than others just because they learn or know something? That's a joke and a lie. I was a football official and a collegiate educator. I know and I didn't make a call unless you literally see it, which they didn't see the receiver have complete control of the ball for the catch, and therefore would be called incomplete. The pressure of the game for the officials is irrelevant. They chose to take and do the job for a fee of hundreds of dollars in pay, so do your job. No excuses. If you can't, they should either be fired or not take the job. Pressure at work is relative. Everyone has it and feels it in any job. So that's not a legitimate defense. The failure was the officials doing their jobs on this play and making the right call, but the ACC does not hold their officials publicly accountable for this. So why should any ACC athlete or employee not blame others for they as athletes or employees not doing their jobs? Because that's exactly what the ACC taught all to do by their pathetic statement about this last play of this game. And we wonder why the world is the way it is now with no one taking responsibility for their actions or non-actions and choosing to blame others. You make the world what you want. No one's responsible for anything. That's not truth.

@@Death_Vail666 You have to have full control of the ball until you hit the ground which was NOT the case here and video shows that a Miami player actually touched it while out of bounce. Common and stop with the hate. Learn how to accept a loss. You sound like a cry baby.
Let’s go canes it’s all about the U
Fck the U they can’t beat Florida or FSU or Georgia or Alabama
@@kobekobe8527we already beat Florida.
Why was this even called a TD to start 🤷♂️. Great resilience by the U with turnovers and is it not possible to survive a close game! Only the U doesn't get that benifit 🤔
"Great resilience by Miami..." What a fckn joke - better teams down the road will tell the truth!
Don't listen to this idiot
Yep, great resilience by the U…….but the replay booth gets the win!
Replay saw what i saw incomplete!@glennparker2124
@@kel7256The play happened so fast in a crowd. You saw what you wanted to see.
Bad calls both sides all night, two VT 17 jerseys on the VT field goal… I don’t think he was on the ground, there were so many out of bounds bodies, can’t call that a TD
Kiffin seems like a great dude
Mmm funny how the ‘hold’ that brought back what would have been 21-7 lead for Miami isn’t talked about.. very next play vtech picks off Ward.. a ‘hold’ call more egregious than the vtech one..
This was a premeditated 💩 on Miami highlight reel. So blatantly obvious
ESPN doing some interesting editing never showing the side angle that clearly showed he never possessed the ball and the reason that call was reversed
Brought to you by the haters the University of Miami hi haters😂
Yeah, ignoring the TD Miami got robbed of. Even worse holding call. Killed momentum, which Miami had going that really influences a game.
Wait til you play a good team LMFAO!!!!
@@shadowdawg04 Let me guess, there are no "good teams" in the ACC? Lol, yall out here acting like a team can't be legit unless they beat two top 5 teams 🤣
@@Michael_Chandler_Keaton Name a team going to hang with Alabama, Georgia, OSU...etc... you can't - when it's all done Miami will one & done in the playoffs, unless they play the last seed
@@shadowdawg04 Tennessee. They will beat Bama and Georgia.
Back judge never bothered to move to a better position. Both officials could not make a call and decided to call it a TD to make replay make the call and avoid responsibility.
Hurricanes won when an actual hurricane ran through the state the night before. Priceless.
It is about time Miami got some calls in their favor. They have been screwed by officials beginning with the call in the 2002 championship game.
ESPN love Miami
Defensively, giving the ball up three times and keep the D on the field
Justin Williams Raylen Wilson KJ Bolden...this young defensive core will be making adjustments thur the game.
Unbelievable how many people with telescope eyes are commenting that they could see the ball moving……..so impressive that these people with no bias at all (ROTFLMAO) could see so much. I guess they have Superman eyesight!!
21 missed tackles COMPLETELY unacceptable. Tighten up boys tighten up. Go Canes
The holding call was not on the guy that he shoved to the ground. The replay is barely showing it but the o linemen grabbed the jersey of 22 before shoving the next guy to the ground. 22 would have had the running back in the hole had the lineman not grabbed his jersey and HELD him. Lol not to mention VT got away with a TON of holds through this entire game. As for the bobbled so called controversial catch the ball was moving and never fully secured. It literally never stops moving. Hats off to VT for a heck of a game but ive played on inferior teams and they do in fact tell their guys to hold blocks as long as possible bc a 10 yard hold is better than not having a chance.
Experience Matters. Can't buy a team. Gotta be led from the Top you wanna be a Champion
A win is win stop hating Miami
That was good call by the refrees overturning that call cause that was not a touchdown if you look at the replay the ball was moving around and our i guy touch it while his but was outbounds which makes it incomplete anyone says its a bad call is only hating on Miami so i don't care what none of y'all say that was the right call incomplete pass
Buddy said Blake Baker, like why and how are you up there
Gotta get defense fixed um the best player Bain on the defense hasnt played since 1st drive of week 1. Barrow Alston Horton Harris all hurt on defense during that game im not surprised defense struggled.
Nobody talking about the momentum killing phantom penalty called against Miami that took away their TD that had them up by two scores. Talk about terrible holding calls, there you go. It was just the refs making up for that, if anything.
Nick Saban addressed it
Virginia tech quarter back gonna be around along time giving defenses problems
Love lane Kiffin!
Miami versus Virginia tech in the ACC championship!
The VT coach won the game for Miami when he faked the field goal 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Facts 😂
77 was holding 32 on the play. the hold wasnt on the guy that fell down. i slowed it down you can see it clearly. you must control the ball from the catch to the ground and it was not done. it shouldnt have ever been called a td in the first place and they would have gotten out of there without all of the fuss. lets also not forget the touchdown the refs called back on a bogus hold on miami that would have made the game 21-7 miami. they flipped momentum with that call. i dont want to hear about the refs stole this and that.
You could have called two holds on that play
Yea desmond lets not forget rueben bain was out, tyler barron, and simeon barrow both left the game. And jalen isnt back
VT never had possession of the ball. Shouldn’t ever been called a td in the first place .
people a lot more knowledgeable than you about football have said the exact opposite. As a tech fan, I could admit it was a questionable call regarding the catch. But once it went to replay, every expert has said there’s no way it should’ve been overturned.
Regardless, good luck the rest of the year
@@WilliamDeemer well the refs told you that those people you claim are more “knowledgeable” are either Canes hater or not knowledgeable as your claim them to be.
@@RumRomeo-mu2up I imagine you know your football and that’s a very silly way to make an argument. The referees also ruled a touchdown. It was a bunch of people up in the replay booth that had to watch it four times over and leave us sitting for 10 minutes before we knew. If it was a slam dunk, they would’ve made that decision in 30 seconds. That’s why the people that know lots more than me and you are saying that the ACC screwed up. Look you won the game, I think the refs blew it, but that also falls on Virginia Tech for not converting on a fake punt and not being able to get stops on defense. Good luck to you guys.
@@WilliamDeemer not silly at all. Common sense, you make a mistake you correct it. One confused far end zone ref made a mistake and the head ref corrected it. It’s convenient when you talk about knowledgeable people yet you ignore McFee saying the ball was moving around and Desmond saying the REAL problem was the ref calling a TD in the first place. Which is what we all have been saying. But whatever, you and those “knowledgeable” Miami haters commenting on the game will cope with the situation eventually. Good luck to you guys as well.
@@RumRomeo-mu2up mcAfee also said that it was “unbelievable“ that they reversed the call. Anyway, you’re going to see things your way and that’s cool. Be happy you got the W regardless of how it happened. Both teams played well enough to win and lose, and the brakes didn’t go the hokey way. Good luck the rest of the year.
That was NOT A CATCH the Miami player had the ball out of bounds then VT WR tried to snatch it after and you see the ball bobble that was the right call
If the refs thought it was a TD why were they looking for the ball. The TD call on the field should have never been called.
I knew was right about the TD Run at the end of the 3rd Homefield Advantage
ESPN is on the way down
Refs got some Miami NIL money on that game
Miami haters saban and herb. They would show the Virginia tech hold but not the Miami hold that took a TD off the board. Nick if every team was full of high 4&5 ⭐️ we would win almost every game also
Congrats Tech on the win
It should have never been called a touchdown on the field. It took the refs too long in the first place to even make that call. Their indecisiveness to begin with was the start. Miami haters are really upset now
They ALL HATERS!!! They excuses when Georgia or Bama struggles, but criticize Miami. Let em' stay mad.
11:13 😂😂😂
Look the refs took the long VA tech run on a B.S. holding call, but VA tech still scored a TD on that drive a couple minutes anyways. So why not even mention how they got the 34 points after showing they had 27? So it didn't even matter. It ended with the same results. The UM bad holding call ended up taking a TD, but the next play was a interception.
When it takes that long to review, it’s NOT CLEAR AND OBVIOUS. You don’t overturn the call on the field. Everything else is BS. Instead of righting wrongs, instant replay has created new problems and opened the sport to manipulation and improper influence. Instant replay is broken.
Never been more annoyed of these kids talking over the footage like that. Nick sitting there thinking of how stupid they sound
It doesn’t really matter Miami defense was exposed secondary subpar that’s the way their gonna lose
It's not like miami is a threat to amyone in the top 5
Let’s not forget how Miami got screwed last year with a BS fumble call, yes we should’ve taken the knee, but that was NOT a fumble. So we almost got screwed two years in a row. Not a catch
Where is reuben bain? The U needed this game so they dont get so cocky, miami in the top ten alot of distractions
Virginia Tech got screwed.
Jaguars would have won 12 games in 2023 if you replaced the billions of predictable runs and screens that went nowhere that press Taylor called and instead targeted Ridley engram and others more even if you hit 40 percent of the time that’s at least 7 more points per game
Stop it plz get on with your life
For being such a great coach saban is boring to listen too. Sounds like he took an ambient
Refs aside VT coach shouldnt have did that trick play just kick the field goal wouldnt have needed the hail mary just 3pts to win
Kirk always hating on us
Horrible analysis.. bs holding against miami.. took away a td. Next play int.. Kirk is getting old.. that ball was moving around all the way to the ground . Should have never been called a td
Great game
Refs are Refs
Don’t worry we will always be prepared for the u
We exposed u
Go Hokies!
If McAfee falls off the chair and hurts coach he'll be done 🙄👍
The U 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
The refs should be the blame for this horrible ending
It was not a catch. Plenty of terrible calls went against miami. And VTs coach lost that game MULTIPLE TIMES.
It seems like in every close game so far this year, the fans complain about the refs. I guess the refs got together before the season and decided to make bogus, or no, calls.
Haten herb he happy they got Jeremiah. If lebum didn’t tweet he would have been a cane
