Go back in time to a war-torn medieval era with a vast arsenal of modern weapons, change the course of history, and save the future in this epic action/strategy sandbox. Build your kingdom, grab a gun, and lead an army of thousands into massive, real-time simulated battles - solo or in co-op.
You’re the last hope in a dying world. Travel back 500 years, to medieval England, in order to change the course of a bloody war and maybe, if you’re lucky, stave off the apocalypse. Can you tip the scales of history and create a new timeline?

I think you probably guessed the entire plot of the game. At 0:24 we see a post-apocalyptic future yet at 1:39 we see a very futuristic looking...future. The narrator also stated at 1:26 that "He gave our people a future I hope he can save his own". That means he knows he's there to change his own future. The game is probably about a guy who's trying to stop an empire that started in medieval times and ended up the ones responsible for that post-apocalyptic future...or at least one of the ancestors of their king/emperor/president in the future.

It's a common what-if. I frequently talk to a coworker about this. He despises games (older edge of gen X) but we discussed writing a book about the subject. Here's the problem: If you could go back in time, and you wanted to "uplift" an ancient civilization to a more modern level, good luck. You might know how things like firearms and ICEs work, you might even be able to design and build one... But how the hell do you rapidly industrialize a society? You'd have to be an expert in metallurgy, resource extraction, chemistry, and 100 other fields while also desperately trying to keep from getting killed. Even something seemingly simple like making a modern, high quality screw or bolt would be nearly impossibly
@@jakeg3733true but you could still do some things, gun powder is relatively easy, 4 crop rotation too and even if you don’t know it you can research it online now.
Now, with no prep time and just with what you know then it would be extremely hard, unless you researched it out of curiosity before but given a backpack of tools and a a lot of time to prepare?

definitely mine too. loved the game darkest of days. you traveled back in time for your missions and gunning down native americans or roman legionaries was fun. but the game is too old and won't let you play after window 7.
Hopefully the main character remembers the three Latin words when approaching the necronomicon or the deadites will be unleashed.

This is Exactly what Gaming know needs, games to actually be fun to play, many video game Companies are focusing too much on story and environments , that's Obviously a good thing, but alot Just completely forget about the fun aspect, and The games very quickly become Boring, With Great marketing I can see this being very Popular, looks sort of similar to mordhau , know that's a fun game to play, Rockstar are gonna have to Do something Amazing to keep people playing GTA6, GTA5 is a Amazing game, but it Did quickly becomes boring , I think they are gonna have to Have to Do some good online modes, Time's are changing, if they Don't change I think people will Just get Bored, even if the Graphics Look Amazingly Detailed

I think that would probably stop them battling... I mean there was this incident where a freakin meteor fell down on a battlefield just before a battle and both sides just decided to call the entire thing off and went home.
You know what I would of preferred, a actual game with these large scale battles where you are a knight, Viking, barbarian fighter , hacking limbs off and killing many, getting in the thick of battle. There is nothing like that in the gaming industry atm. Definitely a gap in the market.
