It's moments like this that you wish you were a Police Officer instead of an EMS so you could see that and stop it before it ends up with the inevitable
I had a friend who drove like that, he was paranoid schizophrenic. Two lanes he drove normal, four lanes it was scary. Not everyone driving is sane and rational. Drive defensively.
You must get frustrated motorists thinking you’re an unmarked police car and wondering why you don’t do anything. The state of driving these days is awful.
There was an earlier video not sure which one but he was responding to an incident in the unmarked car and a motorcyclist in front of him takes off like he thinks he’s being chased! The comments went crazy 😂 but the suspected offender got lucky that day 😂
I'm sure that many a non-liveried emergency equipped, non-police driver has been tempted to 'slip' and turn on the old blues and twos in the face of that kind of driving.
@@ianmason. Neighbour was once taking me to my uni class a few years back and he had an unmarked service vehicle for the Fire Service and this van was tailgating closely and he did this. Flicked the lights on for a couple seconds and that van must have slammed his brakes because next glance in the mirror there was more than enough distance lmao
@@RyanHastings861 Talking of unofficial use of warning equipment: Many years ago (late 80s) I was in a police transit being driven by one PC Ian Borthwick. We'd gone to Brighton station to pick up a colleague coming from London. He was standing on the forecourt of the station 6 feet away from us, obviously looking around for us but couldn't see the vehicle bedecked with hi-vis directly in front of him. The driver gave it 2 seconds of blues and twos to get his attention. You should have seen him jump. A bit naughty but it was fun. We were on Operation Radcot if there's anybody else old enough to have got caught up in that and if you had _anything whatsoever_ to do with the Sussex police at the time then you would have.
Fairly typical driving around that junction. You do get a lot of lane hogs, but that is inexcusable. After the junction, most people sit on lanes 3 and 4, with lane 1 empty!
Sadly this has become an all too common sight on our roads now. It seems they really don't believe anything will come of it, so they can drive how they want. But nowadays people are sending footage to the Police, so they can expect a surprise letter one day.
Dangerous driving and an incident waiting to happen. Accident is circumstance beyond your control. That driver had both mental and physical control elements in that display of driving. @ChrisMartinEMS - At least you didn't have to pick up a bag of soup whilst out and about.
And this is one reason why the non-motorway traffic routes through my village get blocked so often because a dead straight 5 mile+ long stretch of the M1 gets shut due to an accident...
I reported a driver doing this on the M25 by uploading my dashcam footage to their OpSnap webpage. Police responded that they were going to prosecute. If you drive like this, it only takes one of those cars to have a dashcam and a driver prepared to submit an online report.
You have counted how many people drive like this up and down the country and then found the specific statistics on how many of these people ended up crashing?
All too normal, they just drive like this and let everyone else sort out the problems they cause. I had one drop from Lane 4 into Lane 1 earlier. I'd got a nice 2 second gap, and he decided the best thing to do was throw his car into it, and jump on the brakes so he didn't hit the car in front. Surprisingly, it wasn't a German car, and our truck brakes work a lot better than I thought they would.
And these are the ones that you have to cut out of wrecks & try save there lives . I really don't envy your job . But enjoy watching how people react too Blue lights .
Somebody watched too many swim team videos. Sloppy on the last leg, and overall a bad idea on roads with ok lane discipline where the outer lanes are already travelling quicker
I sincerely hope you’ve forwarded this footage to the Police. You should have done that first prior to posting on RUclips, especially somebody in your position.
I'm not saying they should do this and I don't know the difference in penalties are but surely it'd be safer and just as illegal for them to go up the shoulder... I know that's a bit like saying do you want the person robbing your house to have a gun or a knife haha obviously neither but the knife out the two options.
I mean... it's clearly not terrible driving if he hasn't hit anybody, it's dangerous driving but not terrible driving. I'd much rather deal with attentive but dangerous drivers as opposed to inattentive AND dangerous drivers, which is a far more common occurence by far.

I'm naive enough to think that should get reported and they get points...... a lot of points..
go on then..
Why points - they should be banned… for a long time

Polo Match EVO NA70BXR.

You see that every day, and usually it's a BMW or a Golf
Better for that driver to meet a copper sooner than a paramedic later.

Yerp, That is me in GTA5. Not Real life though.
Possibly stolen.
Rationale: if their behaviour looks like they don't have a licence, they probably don't and it's not their car, either.
How some people get a driving license in the first place is beyond me 🤷
Their luck usually runs out but sadly in so many cases they take some innocent person out
