The post in before the rock is absolutely a necessity and it gives you a place to relax while taking a break 😁 I like the way you made your own hardware to join the post and beams together. Now that you have your metal shop, there's nothing you can't do!
Beautiful ! You made that look easy to do but I know you’re glad to be sitting and swinging! Just need a cold drink in your hand as you explain it all. Love the builds!
I’m always shocked you don’t have 100X the views you do. You build beautiful things and do great instructions along the way. Wish I lived close to you - would definitely be my friend. Keep the great content coming!
Looks great:) everyone’s gonna want to come to your house for parties between the pool the swings, fire pits. Your place is going to be rocking it.:) Tfs and God bless:)
You have to make me worry even on my birthday, don't you? You aren't so young as to lift those beams by yourself, you gotta mind your back, LOL Great idea, Tiff, for V shape! People can communicate and enjoy time together. That string leveler is an awesome gadget!
Nice! You should have coated the buried part of the post with tar to prevent premature deterioration since you live in a high moisture area. Is the plan includes sun shade? It helps the swing chairs last longer from baking from sun.
Star gazing is always nice. Do you think they'll get much daytime use? Any plans for some kind of retractable shade for daytime use? Maybe portable shade that can be easily move for star gazing. Thanks for the video.
Hi Andrew, yes that fence is the perfect colour for your new space. Love the two swings and where you put them, I remember back when you got those swings. I sometimes spend hours trying to to figure something out and you have the answers so easy. Love the good solid timber’s your using are they 8x8? The swing frame is a gorgeous beautiful job. The metal brackets just finish it off nice. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
I thought you should have concreted in the posts but that would have made it hard to be able to take them out if you ever wanted to. It might be the camera but it sure looks like your fence needs a second coat of paint. You guys must entertain tons of people a lot of times. Your pool looks so good in the background!
I do plan a second coat, I am going to roll the second on because the spraying didn't give me the results I was looking for. At times we entertain up 16 guests.
With the temperature that cooker gets, I feel the swings are a bit too close 🔥? .... I was looking for Tiffany to be out helping, is she not home now? But what a great quick build!
@@TKCL Gotcha, as we all know camera angles and such do alter perceptions and since y'all are there in real life its all good... grocery shopping is a nightmare anymore, I take a tissue with me for my tears instead of using the receipt
@TKCL how much do the beams move when you swing? Also did you encounter any water on your holes when you duck them. I'm not sure what your water table is like there. Down here in FL you'll find some water before long when digging.
And there is your first mistake. cutting the posts off. It is a good idea to put a slant on the top of the posts so water does not just sit there. but runs off. You don't need a lot. % degrees is all that's required. But then I see you are adding more stuff above so my comment is irrelevant in this case. Should have waited to the end of video before commenting.

Thank you for watching
That is the perfect tree off in the back ground there. Nice.
Agreed, we want all of this showcasing that tree.
that tree is the trademark of the channel! we all hope it lasts a long time! like Andrew and Tiffany that trees been through alot on there property!
We hope so too Adam!
@@TKCL yeah but every year it seems to loose a little bit of itself due to mother nature
I came to the comments to praise that beautiful tree in the background!
The black metal gusset plates are a great touch! Great job!
Thanks
Andrew you continue to amaze me with your imagination, design and build skills 👍
Thanks 👍
I like your hat and saw horses, never seen anything like them.
Those saw horses are amazing! I absolutely love them.

Looks awesome

Those line levels are invaluable and so are the post levels.., used them for years! Lookin good son, can't wait for the next vid 💜💜💜
Thank you for watching
Looks great Andrew 👍
Thank you
Hi, Andrew! Your yard has the look of a resort. I love it. It’s like a huge outdoor room since the fence is painted.
Thank you, we love having this space.
Beautiful ! You made that look easy to do but I know you’re glad to be sitting and swinging! Just need a cold drink in your hand as you explain it all. Love the builds!
We love having these swings
Needs some comfy cushions..Ruger would love that!
Ruger has already been swinging 🤣
That’s very cool!👍💞
Thank you
Never been THIS early. Love the videos

Thanks so much, we love to entertain. God bless!
Now you need to make small end tables on post for drinks.
We do have plans for tables.
Of course after I visit then you start making it so awesome 😔.... 😭😭
You're going to have to come back.
We have springs made for swings on our porch swing, makes for a softer and smoother swing
Looks good brother. Are you looking to add a small canopy over the swing to keep some of the sun off?
You have to make me worry even on my birthday, don't you? You aren't so young as to lift those beams by yourself, you gotta mind your back, LOL
Great idea, Tiff, for V shape! People can communicate and enjoy time together. That string leveler is an awesome gadget!
I do need to be more careful, Tiffany was grocery shopping that day so I went for it myself.
Happy Happy Birthday 🎉 hope you had a wonderful day ❤
Yes happy birthday, shame on em for reading so fast I didn't see that 😬
Nice! You should have coated the buried part of the post with tar to prevent premature deterioration since you live in a high moisture area. Is the plan includes sun shade? It helps the swing chairs last longer from baking from sun.
No shade as that heavily interferes with recording light for future videos.
Star gazing is always nice. Do you think they'll get much daytime use? Any plans for some kind of retractable shade for daytime use? Maybe portable shade that can be easily move for star gazing. Thanks for the video.
No shade panned just yet. These will definitely be used day or night in the cooler times of the year.

Thanks! Those are 6x6 posts, plenty strong enough for swings as most people use 4x4s.
Looks great! Why didn't you put rock in the post holes for drainage like you usually do?
Because I didn't concrete the posts in. They can free drain in all directions.
Awesome build. Is the middle bracket bent for the support beams?
Yes, it is. I had to do that.
I thought you should have concreted in the posts but that would have made it hard to be able to take them out if you ever wanted to. Where did the brackets come from? The middle is me looked bent already to the angle you choose.
Got them from Amazon and I bent the middle to my specifications amzn.to/4dRZiix
Have you seen the Prazi beam cutter? Harbor freight has a Hercules version as well
I sure have! I haven't had enough jobs to justify it but it is on my wish list.
Every time I see it I think of you all those giant posts you’ve been cutting.
Oh man it's on sale at HF right now too with the inside track club! $50 until 9/26/24
How are you securing the swings for a storm?
Taking them down.
@@TKCL There is a lot of stuff on the 'take it down' list prior to a storm
Only thing this video is missing is the link to where I can buy that hat!😂
amzn.to/49aj4E3 Here it is, although I'll admit the fan has stopped working. Bummer as it's a well made straw hat.
You certainly don't need a gym membership. Looking great grown up swings.
You got that right!
Ms. Lee all he needs is the monkey bars! 😂😂😂
Don't give him any ideas. Can you just picture Andrew on Monkey bars?
Curious as to the angle of the "v" and how did you get that transferred to the t- plate?
Wife wanted that look. I bent the metal in my vise to match the V.
@@TKCLdo you have any guess what angle that is?
Well built Andrew. I had better not show this video to my girlfriend because she will want a set up like those swings
We are on them right now 😉
With the temperature that cooker gets, I feel the swings are a bit too close 🔥? .... I was looking for Tiffany to be out helping, is she not home now? But what a great quick build!
We both agree it's the perfect distance away. This day she was out grocery shopping for us.
@@TKCL Gotcha, as we all know camera angles and such do alter perceptions and since y'all are there in real life its all good... grocery shopping is a nightmare anymore, I take a tissue with me for my tears instead of using the receipt
Hey Andrew, did you use any concrete or quickcrete in those post holes? Or was it just dirt…..is the dirt sturdy enough?
Just dirt, but I went 4ft deep. No issues, we had 4 people on the swings last night.
@TKCL how much do the beams move when you swing? Also did you encounter any water on your holes when you duck them. I'm not sure what your water table is like there. Down here in FL you'll find some water before long when digging.

Amazon, but the fan is acting up already 😔
Call a Brother next time. Lol. But You seem to got it by yourself 😂😂
I'm use to working this way, built my house by myself..... I'm hard headed.
@@TKCL I hear ya!! Lol.
@@HalfPint5811ive been trying to get him to start wearing steel toe flip flops for safety! lol
Yes!
@@AdamDeal-KF0PRI lmao. Sounds like something I need for stump grinding 🤔 🤣
Andrew another place for Cash to nap.
Right!
neighbor mike dont forget ruger and andrew lol!
What's up with the screw at 10 : 07 ?
Not sure what you mean
You forgot to put stone in the hole so post is not touching the dirt and will drain
I do that only when I concrete a post in and seal it.
And there is your first mistake. cutting the posts off. It is a good idea to put a slant on the top of the posts so water does not just sit there. but runs off. You don't need a lot. % degrees is all that's required. But then I see you are adding more stuff above so my comment is irrelevant in this case. Say you folks are in the country right? Why the need for a wooden fence just begging to be taken down by Florida high winds?
It takes some serious wind to take fence down. The weather in N Fl usually ain't crazy...... usually. 😂
It's to make the space feel like a room or extension of the home. That fence isn't coming down. I over built it specifically to handle high winds.
How did you attach the bracket to the T-junction of the middle post?
I bent it to form to the bend of the wood.
