It's class that the lads "get it" regarding the history of the champions cup. I think the interest for it is related to how well the teams of a country are doing. The French care this year now that they're doing well but the English are complaining about salary caps because they are not. A couple more wins from the Sharks and there'll be more hype.

Disagree. Of the 24 teams ... name the ones treating it as a prestige or priority over their 'domestic' league. There's no more than 4-6 teams. And if they can't take it seriously, no way fans are.
Regarding the 7’s. Tell the Stadium to make the prices more reasonable. They must make the day tickets better and the Suite tickets more reasonable. Then definitely next year it will be 50 000 people at DHL.

The Stormers drew 30k over the weekend in a stadium on the total opposite side of the country (Cape Town was hosting the sevens). And yet people will still insist that their attendances are a problem. It’s a tired old criticism that is completely baseless.
@jacquescoetzee47 No it's not, even when they play at home the stadium is half empty, even when it's more important games further into the competition and would it be somewhere else would they have the chance to get 60K seats stadiums at this stage of the competition the stadium would be packed and you perfectly know it. Stop being in denial. Across the country? Fans cross continents and go all the way around the world to support their teams. Not what's asked to the stormers fans but a half empty stadium against a top team is ridiculous. And 30K people didn't show up. 23K in a stadium with a capacity of 48K seats attended the game. @@puccaland Goes to show how little you know. The Stormers have one of the highest attendances in all of club rugby. As a matter of fact, the only team that actually beats them is Bordeaux. That absolutely dwarves the paltry 10k that Stade Francais drew when we played them in France for example, or some of the figures that we see in Europe week in, week out. Currently Racing 92 is playing in a stadium of 10K seats because their stadium of 15K seats isn't available. That's why I said if they could have bigger stadiums like the one in Cape Town the stadium would be full all the same. Which is proved when teams like Toulouse for instance borrow bigger stadiums from the local football team for the big matches to try and make as many supporters as possible happy. That's still too small. Which is proved when they go play the finals at the biggest stadiums of 80K seats. About Coach of the year, the main issue is that there is a single category. In 2022 for instance, France had a 100% victory record with 6Ns Grand Slam and victories over SA and Oz in Autumn Series. Yet Galthié did not win coach of the year because there was a women WC that year and it was hard to debate this that in the end, but what could he have done more ? Considering all the South African clubs got beaten at the weekend bar the Sharks then no 😂 You don’t just walk into this competition after being completely useless in Super Rugby and think you even have the slightest chance of winning it. I’d suggest your clubs just focus on the URC as they haven’t exactly set the world alight in that competition either. On that note… The Sharks finished 14th in the URC last season. 14th!!! Bear in mind they have 13 Springboks in their side with further additional players on the national fringes and 1 Scottish international so what makes you think they even do well in the URC let alone win that competition. The European Champions cup is called ‘European’ for a reason 😂
1. You obviously were not watching and just saw the log - Sharks did not have access to their Springboks half the time and were laden with injuries. 2. Being completely useless in Super Rugby is subjective. If we had stuck the Argentinian national team in the NZ conference you would have a. Had to forfeit a team b. play a game in Argentina every year while SA teams would have to do it every two years. c. Had there been 10 SA teams replacing the 5 Kiwi and Aussie teams and only given you a total of 4 between to reverse the numbers, you well guess what - you are playing away from home overseas 2x than you do in your own country. Its also scientifically proven in peer reviewed journals that travelling east is way more difficult than travelling west in terms of jet lag. Go look it up. Funny that when all the teams stay in the same place and there is equal travel (i.e. World Cups) our success rate is the best of all teams in two less attempts.
I suggest you focus on the URC and count the fact than in every final a SA team has played with three in SA and one of them won and you say we are not doing anything? With four SA teams vs 12 UK and Irish teams do maths and you will see travel to Europe is three times vs what European teams travel to Africa and its even worse on the Champions Cup. If the European competition is called "European" for a reason why are the French stuffing 213 non-European international players both in the Top 14 and Champions Cup/EPCR? Leinster also has put overseas guys in key positions and many SA coaches contribute to these teams but gee you'll conveniently ignore this!
As for the Scottish International in The Sharks he was born and bred in KZN and plays for Scotland through a grandparent qualification like Tuitupo. SA has given Scotland a lot of players and it was SA players and a head coach I may add who helped Glasgow win the URC. You're clueless and only see one side of it - that's why it appears you are making comments from Australia or NZ and don't really know much about these competitions.
@@bunnychowmuncher Listen the truth of the matter is you lot never won anything in Super Rugby apart from 1 trophy over 16 years ago. Considering you have the most amount of registered rugby players than any other nation, is genuinely embarrassing. You act like South African teams are the only ones that have to travel. Every other opponent has to travel to and from South Africa also! You’re clutching at straws in every possible way and trying to come up with some poor excuse as to why you do so badly. You just can’t face the fact that a little tiny island nation like Ireland where rugby is its 4th largest sport, continuously beats all of your teams & it completely infuriates you guys. They were very diplomatic about it - class show
Not a hope!
Hi Noel Good morning. I hope my comment didn't sound as a form of privacy invasion your comment tells of a wonderful man with a beautiful heart which led me to comment I don't normally write in the comment section but I think you deserve this complement. If you don’t mind can we be friends? Thanks God bless you….🌺🌺🌺
lol SA Teams had 200 point put on them this weekend! weak!
No
wow such bad losers the bulls they give the losing team MOM, pathetic! what was his proize tiossues!
No they're not winning a champions cup
Us Irish find it hilarious & it only spurs us on even more!
Tá cúis ann go dtugtar Éireannaigh na troda orainn. Níl eagla orainn oraibh a bhuachaillí feirme in aon chruth nó cruth. Níl ach rugbaí na hÉireann ag éirí níos láidre agus is breá linn a bheith inár measc. agus nílimid ag dul áit ar bith, am ar bith go luath. Suas na Gaeil 🇮🇪☘️💪🏻🇮🇪☘️💪🏻🇮🇪☘️💪🏻🇮🇪☘️💪🏻
Lol, 3 Saffa clowns doing their utmost to ignore Toulouse 😂
Ever comment section you are crying about South Africa 😂
@@Redt_123 Well, which one of those 3 clowns in not a Saffa ?
They only discuss teams that have a possibility to win. What is the point discussing no-hope teams? 😂
@@spervuurproduksies Thanks for the clarification 😂
@@mahasamatman12 You seem to hate SAFFAS a lot. Luckily the whole europe dislikes france
Just talking nonsense. What about a real rugby talk show - more rugby, less laughing en stort praat asb
So go back to your colouring books.
