Charlie Singleton's albums weren't bad by any stretch. His major problem was that his solo stuff didn't hold a candle to what he previously did with Cameo. Being on the same label as Kashif, Whitney Houston and Jermaine Jackson in 1985 didn't help matters. Adding insult to injury was his former group having continued success with their "Single Life" album around that same time.
Charlie was one of many Cameo members and he was never trying to match the success of Cameo with his solo music. He knew he had to give the record lable at least one hit song which he did with Make Your Move On Me Baby. The rest of the album was his artistic vision.
imo this album is a masterpiece and holds up as a whole better than any electro-funk (to not compare pears to apples) record by Cameo, the 'Word Up' album was the most consistant but even this one isn't as consistant as Modern Man
Love this song back in the day
I've been searching for this song for so long I used to have it on a slow jam tape and finally I got to hear it again
Thank you heavily for this, you got me hooked on the first track, beat is crazy 🔥
Thank you ' I haven't heard this whole album since my tape pot.

Charlie Singleton remember, is not Larry Blackmon. Cameo's success comes from Larry Blackmon himself.
