Little does Doug from Oregon know but he has to start his own RUclips channel now so we can follow the Cornet! (cuz really it's our car too )c'mon Doug you can do it!!!
Michelle, you have the best reactions to "Minor Fireballs" in the shop. Don't stop please!! Paul, your bumper is what your head dictated to your hands perfectly. Looks G R E A T! Coming right along. . . that Rat Rod Tow Truck is turning out Awesomely. Congratulations to Doug on his win of the Cornet - this is going to be a video by itself for the delivery of it.
Can't believe I didn't win, having three whole entries out of thousands!! 😂😂 Super excited for the winner and to watch the upcoming road trip. Congrats! Also, that bumper looks awesome. This is a cool project, especially given the history.
I just get such a good feeling watching you guys work. There is always a workaround to any problem. Keep your friends and family close. Never be too important to laugh at yourself !! Have some fun in your work. You guys seem to have all that going on. Great job !
My Dad was a millwright who loved to build custom utility trailers. Now I know why he did so much standing and staring at those things when he was welding and building......lol Brings back a lot of memories watching you weld. I used to love the sparks flying when he was using the cutting torch. .......no plasma cutters back then. He would have loved one of those
It's the same thing when constructing a house. I've built custom homes and metal buildings for over a decade-- and you have to build everything in your head and look to the future to make sure there aren't any unforeseen problems that come up: But there always is anyway. lol.. You just have to try to catch them as you're gong along, or you'll be cutting things out and re-doing them more often than you want to admit.
I love when people ask me, "have you ever done this before"? No but that does n ot mean I can't do it. That is why I watch you guys, nothing stops you. There are no mistakes just opportunities to improve.
Nice job. My favorite part was when the carb flareup woke up Michelle. It was worth watching the whole video just to see those three seconds of sheer panic. 🤣
I like how you painted the ceiling under the storage white for better lighting. Watching back from when the channel started you guys have progressed so far beyond your individual skills, nice work.
Congrats to Doug on the Coronet win! That was a fun build to watch! With Sherm's Fab Rats Rod Wecker it amazes me how Paul design's on the fly, his imagination with his fabricating skills are next to none! I really love this build!
HAPPY TO SEE THE TOW TRUCK "🔥FIRE RIGHT UP🔥 " , ENJOYED MICHELLE'S REACTION AND LOVE THE BUMPER . NOW THAT BUMPER TIES IN THE FRONT END AND GIVES IT CLASS . THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO! 👍👍👍
THAT bumper is SICK!!!!!! Y'all got some talent there Paul!! And Michelle, your hair has been Rockin' in the past 1/2 dozen videos. FabRats got it ALLLL going on! Thanks!
The bumper is as nice as the truck will sound. Rory is practicing daily. I haven’t seen Matt’s roll without help. The saga driving my coffee time. Thanks for working!
This is Bill from Oregon and I don't even remember having that conversation with you on the phone. Congrats to me. Go Bill. Go Bill. Go Bill. Haha Congrats to the real winner, Doug from Oregon. We'll need a burnout video Doug.
Congratulations to Doug! Great fab work as always. I’m glad Ben joined the team when he did. I love watching all of your videos and custom fab work. The bumper came out badass!!! Glad the truck started and poor Michelle got scared. 😂 Keep up the great work!!! 💪💪💪💪💪
Missed a good moment to throw in "I feel good" after Michelle's scream haha thank you all for sharing. Your series has inspired me to get back out there and create. Appreciate you all!
Could you do a video on welding techniques. Heat settings, wire speed. Show us some dos and don't. I'm an armature welder and I love to learn from seeing an expert like you teaching. Congratulations on getting the tow truck running. Loved it when it scared Michelle. 😱
I love that the tires still have the factory stickers on the tread areas. It's an extra traction adding method that few traction technicians know about. 😉
Paul that bumper looks amazing and I’m so glad you guys got the truck running really coming along great work guys! Great video as always keep up the good work👍🏼🤩💪🏼
Oh man we need to see that backfire reaction from Michelle in SLO MO!! The scream was awesome! 🤣 Aside from that, love seeing the progress on this build!
I have never been a fan of the square body. But dang, that custom front and especially the bumper are absolutely SICK. Well done! Can’t wait to see this build keep evolving.
The tow truck sounds mean I really enjoyed hearing the tow truck run. I definitely like the custom bumper it is a one of a kind for sure. Seeing Hunter get peer pressured into touching the hot bumper was comical. Peer pressure is a real thing for sure. Keep up the great work
great job guys. Your workshop looks like one big playground. Must be great to have all those tools AND the knowledge to use them. That wrecker is gonna be great.
Amazing to watch your artistry at work Paul 🙂 now it is time to pass the wrecker along to Chad to get it properly tuned.... 🙂 Looks like driver side fender needs a little more work 😂😂😂

Hey Paul put a vacuum tree off that port in the front of the manifold and their you go. Awesome bumper really like it. Love the fire ball and never seen a wife move that fast. 👍😂😂😁
I am surprised that Michelle reacted the way she did. After the last few years, I would have thought that she would have been used to unexpected events like that happening in the shop. :-D
Little does Doug from Oregon know but he has to start his own RUclips channel now so we can follow the Cornet! (cuz really it's our car too )c'mon Doug you can do it!!!
I wanna know if it's going to be somewhere near by! I am a couple hours outside Bend.
Yes, I FULLY agree with you.
Great minds think alike...🤠
That would be neat
Well about 12 hours would but Doug on the best side of Oregon, Eastern Oregon. Hope to see him cruising around in it.
Bumper's looking good. Remember, never weld more in the morning than you can grind off in the afternoon!😊
Does Hunter have any idea how lucky he is? He gets to watch and learn from two insanely skilled mechanical and fabrication geniuses! Dream job!

Also, that bumper looks awesome. This is a cool project, especially given the history.
You need a custom grill on the front that says FabRats on it. That would be so cool and would beat what Mat would have on his truck. Lol 😆 🤣
Congrats to Doug for winning the car . hope he enjoys it .
Great job on the bumper Paul. Loved the backfire and Michelle's reaction to it. She always adds a bit of flair when she's in the shop!!!!!!!!

Hunter is a great cameraman. Kept Michelle in frame when there was a fireball.
Really liking that bumper design. Totally changed the looks of that front end.
Thanks for the great laugh Michelle, you moved like lightning when the fire shot shot up. It's good to hear the rat rod wreaker running.
That bumper has to be the baddest, coolest one any of you ; Matt, Rory, Robbie or Paul, has ever made. LOVE it

Congrats Doug!

Paul- "Let me grab a level" Comes back with a square...lmao!
I’m building a custom bumper for my van right now, with an integrated receiver, and tow points.
You sure do make this look easy.
Good job.
Well it gets easier the third or fourth time. Remember " We make it nice because we do it twice"
@John Paul and Ben are professionals at what they do, the rest of us it's more like 5 - 10 times

Michelle's reaction to the backfire was priceless haha. Cant wait to see this thing out on the trails
A minor sacrifice to the fire gods!
Fuel must be burned.
Bumper suits the truck 100%
I thought what a great idea having a magnetic jumper box, then realised it was sitting on the wheel 😁😁
That bumper is awesome. Great work Paul. That is one of my favorite parts of the build so far.
IT’S A WORK OF ART!!!
We’ll done it really adds a finished look to the front, looking forward to the hoop build!!!
