it was because he was named by his (late) father after a brand of cigarettes, itoken himself romanizes his name as Kent rather than Kento in order to honor his father's memory i got this info from the project sekai wiki btw
To be fair, Project Sekai did have something like mini anime (PuchiSeka), and all the journey to bloom things, and now a movie, which is a month ahead of hypnomic's (1/17 for ProSeka and 2/25 for HypnoMic; JP release dates). They're both promoting at the same time, which makes me wonder if ItoKen had to juggle two characters at once for their movie voice overs. lol, I was confused for the first minute or two of VividBad Radio 3 with Bad Dogs as the speakers. I was like, 'Is this an impression of Hayami/Jakurai done by Imai, or is it the actual actor (Hayami-san himself)?' I wish someone did a proper translation of that exchange since the auto-gen (AI) translated captions are not very satisfactory (since I wanted to know what was actually being said), even if it can be funny sometimes.
