Can you use an auger to bore your vertical drains?

A few vertical drains might improve my backyard drainage. I've thought about getting an underground downspout system, but I don't know where to daylight them since there aren't any storm drains on my street. A big dry well could be an option, but that will increase the cost a lot. I ought to determine if the standing rainwater is from the downspouts or not.

Run it out a ways and then run a drain pipe with slots or holes in gravel with a 90 / vertical pipe at the end with pop up drain at the end.

@@abm2958 I think there are too many tree roots to run drain pipes to the front yard. If I were to run them 10 feet into the side yard (corner lot) then there'd only be a few feet to the street.

The Ultimate and Professional are both 2 oz fabrics. The others have a lighter weight.

I have lots of standing water in my way backyard. I say way back as it a butts up to a gravel road that's access to the cell tower by the phone people. So I found out I have 200% clay soil. Do you still think the vertical drainage would help? I've got to do something as in the summer time if I get two to three days of rain the area was standing water is big enough for ducks to swim in lol. Then if it's in the summer it'll start breeding mosquitoes😮

Sounds like you may need more than a vertical drain. Sump pumps are very effective for this problem
