Yes! Easily and hands down one of my favorite characters from the series can be found in this area. I call her The Burd Lady.. 😂 "They are all quiet, precious little babies. My dear lovely, little burds.." 😂 And ontop of that the rooftop view is great, truly highlights the scope of Kowloon's Walled City, and the music/sound effects being dope/immersive is just an added bonus. You also chose a perfect day to go up there. The change in weather, the shadowing, the lighting and the vast shifting of colors really shows off the graphical prowess of the beloved Sega Dreamcast. Good stuff! Thanks for fulfilling my request! And remember, I only know about sparrows.. 😆
So happy you enjoyed my friend 👍 Did my best and yeah I struggled with should I do a clear day with beautiful sunset or a rainy day with unique weather elements. I made one before with the sunset so I went with the rainy ☔ So amazing how good it looks right!? Absolutely love that lady and her dialogue up here 😆 I will definitely pay her a visit soon 😉
@@WTShenmue This is absolutely perfect. You nailed it. As someone that lives in a desert I'll take rainy, atmospheric moments every time! It's also worth noting just how well the Magic Weather System is working here. The blue sky changing into cloudy weather is beyond impressive. You see a bit of clouds roll in, like a smoke type fog creep in. The way the MWS is being implemented really shows off the realism being implied. 5:17:39 for example, really neat! Can't get over how well the overcast comes across. This game continues to amaze. 🐉🪞
@WTShenmue For me only two games from 20+ years ago rivals it. The first being Soulcalibur, also on the Sega Dreamcast. Which at the time was only the second game to receive a perfect 40/40 score from Famitsu. It's also currently *still* the highest rated fighting game of all-time. And the second game that rivals it for me is F-Zero GX on the Nintendo GameCube. The first ever collaboration between both Sega and Nintendo is a downright digital masterpiece that still looks and plays like pure perfection. But when it comes to technical ability and sheer greatness I'll still put both Shenmue 1 and 2 above those titles. No doubt about it.
Totally agree about soul caliber and old man... F-Zeor GX! Just thinking about playing that one again makes me dizzy! The hyperactive colors and fast-paced graphics were dazzling!

It truly is magical 🪄 what Yu Suzuki and his team made. I can't think of any other game that wows me in so many ways even decades later!
