Hello, some of you asked what my keymap was, so here I am making this video. Github link is : github.com/tokyramarozaka/crk... Hope you found this helpful.
-this is actually super helpful since the corne has the same layout as my cygnus. homerow mods seem like a massive shift in muscle memory but i like this layout
Yeah, it's a massive shift, but a good one. I ended up going back to a dedicated shift key, as it is not convenient if you tend to roll or type really fast.
Curious about your experience with dual function keys. Does the tapping term delay cause any issues for you? I like your idea of having longer per key tapping terms for modifier keys (gonna give that a shot).
Sometimes, it does output capital letters when I am rolling, but it's very rare nowadays. When I had lower tapping term delay(150 to 200ms), I used to have a lot of issues with the pinkys especially, and the shift didn't fire quickly enough. So I brought back my dedicated shifts. And used home row mods only for programming, or keyboard shortcuts. 250 to 300 ms is the sweet spot for me so far.
if all you're using ctrl + alt + delete for is opening task manager, have you considered making that key do ctrl + shift + esc (the shortcut to open task manager) instead?
I bought mine on Denshi Electronics, but you can find it on Etsy as well (without switches and keycaps, but fully soldered). Most manufactureurs are from Spain, France or the US.
KeebMaker has one right now for 15% off and super great quality! I recommend getting the wired version though as RGB kills the wireless battery in a day or so
I haven't tried it myself, it's really good, but I wouldn't use it personally, because I feel like it would make me unable to type effectively again on any other keyboard be it split or stagger, especially since I type in at least 3 languages. Or just maybe because I am afan of the old fashioned way to type as a hobby.

Well, I didn't know that shortcut to be honest, now I do. Thanks !

What's your opinion on the Charachorder?
