The A110 looks sick, that paint code looks frickin wild in the light. Seems to be really smooth on track too. The original 1970's was such a beautiful and iconic rally car, it's good to see that Alpine created a car that captures some of that same spirit in the modern day.
What CAN'T this man do?? Drive anything on wheels, fluent in 5 or 6 languages, and can even impress a Frenchman! 🫡 A proper iteration of the A110, looked fairly dialed in with room for adjustments, you seemed rather pleased with it. Don't get to see too many of those...
I wish we had these available in the States. Fantastic car! 300 hp seems more like 350 or more the way it accelerates. Looks like an easy drive for Misha. Well-balanced street weapon!
I agree, I'd love to have the A110 here, especially this version. My only minor "criticism" is that beep for the shift indicator sounds like something you'd hear lying in a hospital bed.

I hate justifying a cars silly pricetag by highlighting others cars silly pricetags but a VW Golf R is around 50k and new M3s and C63s are 100k. At least this is special and pretty and Gordan Murray has one. 😂 I'm clutching at straws here, new car prices these days are just insane.

@@biafo4541 Does the Golf R, M3 or C63 weigh under 2800lbs and have double wishbone front and rear? I'm not even sure the M3 or Golf R aren't using struts. I think the c63 might be multi link all around. The engine is a let down but you're cross shopping cars that aren't offering the same thing i.e. a light weight sports car.
It misses stance, presence and proportion. Also the body side is a bit flat for its design features. Plus the rear is sloping down way too much. I’d argue the emira takes the title for that In that price category.
As mentioned in a bunch of comments, this looked super smooth. The way it flows reminds me of McLaren laps. Waiting for some nutter to bring a k-swapped one to you for a fast-forwarded version of this with cool sound. Can't argue with how it performs as is though. Stand-out car and all the reviews are very positive.
I have worked on a previous iteration of the rear wing and front bumper of this car back in 2018, during an internship at Renault Sport Cars back then. Feels special to see the car we shot in the wind tunnel out on track on your channel. Sadly I couldn't pursue in working for them, but still have a place in my heart for this car. I'm not French. I'm more into German cars, but damn I love the Alpine A110, I drove one on track and it's an amazing car. Definitely a good option to a GT4 or a Lotus !
The A110R is the first car I'd buy if I had unlimited budget right now. Love it, love that you got to try one. I got to seat in the S, the GT and the R, and honestly, I found the R's seats to be the most comfortable of them all despite their intimidating look. Regarding the paddles, MP Rézeau makes extended ones.

That's a very well set up car, so smooth through Foxhole, not upset by any bumps, kerbs or anything. No wonder Gordon Murray has one, he loves lightness.

They are Brembo brakes. The same calipers you find on Alfa Romeo Mito QV, 4C, Abarth 500, Fiat Punto Abarth, etc... I have the same adapted to my 156. They use a 305mmx28mm disc.
The standard paddle shift is indeed too short…fit some longer Life110 shift paddles like we and most A110 owners do > problem fixed 😇 We have a slightly modified A110 that has done many Nürburgring laps; I can confirm it’s not the fastest; but a great and fun car… ❤
When you have good coilovers, you can have whatever ride and driving characteristics you want. I love my KW V3 on my Fiesta ST200. It is hard to imagine how much quality suspension can improve a car, before you have experienced it yourself.
Saw this car the first time in motion beginning of August by a "Sportfahrertraining XL" on the Nordschleife and I was really impressed how smooth and fast it was. Very very nice!
My 60-year old neighbor has one, I think even including the carbon rims, I actually like the forged ones like here better but it looks like a proper race car in full trim. Too bad that besides driving it once in a while, he always fires it up in his garage... if he only knew that the motor isn't the most precious engine in the world but just derived from an 1.8 turbo that you could get in the last-gen Espace, which he ironically also owned.
Might not be the most fancy engine but it sounds very nice for a four pot and revs freely to 6500. I'm satisfied with my A110 GT. It was developed on a really tiny budget and if Renault would have developed a more interesting engine especially for it, it would have been way more expensive. And the car taxes being as insane as they are in France, which is the main market for the car, I think it's fine.

This just looked too easy with very little steering corrections at very high speed and good comfort. It just seems less exiting because of the perfection. Great car and superb driving.

Your M2 has 200 stock whp more. If Alpine performed very similarly I advise you to improve your driving skills. M2 is a beast. Alpine is not even close to this.
@@akis510 the A110R is over 1,000lbs lighter than the M2CS. Also it’s auto compared to my manual. Lastly, it wasn’t a race so I’m not risking collision to pass.
@@UltimateDan1 it is 1000lbs lighter but M2cs is 3lt twin turbo with huge amount of torque. It can top 280 kph and accelerate like a bullet. Your engine will last for ever while Alpine is very limited because of 1.8lt You have made a great choice with M2. Just be extra careful because it is a dangerous car.

The Alpine A110 R has Brembo brakes. The A110 Ultime will have special AP brakes, will be released in 2025. With 102 octane mapping the A110 Ultime will have 360 ho and more carbon parts then the A110 R. Weight will be unter 1000 kg.
A proper focussed track sports car 👌 It aould be great if more manufacturers need to find a way to make a business case for something like this. It has to be the first car I've seen with a sttering angle read out on the cluster, not sure how useful a detail it is considering mid-corner your eyes would/should be focussed on the track ahead though?

One of my personal favorite cars! I love the design and the performance is simply impressive. Unfortunately way too expensive for what it is, but I would prefer it to any Porsche.

Mind that the speedo is on kmh, not mph. Acceleration is the biggest caveat on the alpine. But the cornering performance amazing.

I played with one of these at Spa last year in my M2CS. I was very impressed with it. It performed very similar to it.

l'idée Française de faire des matériels légers , ça fonctionne , le char Leclerc pèse 58 tonnes , le Léopard II pèse + de 64 tonnes , le challenger II pèse 74 tonnes avec son sur blindage ! le Rafale est un bi moteur performant , de seulement 9850 kg pour la version C ! le TGV a des voitures à 2 niveaux en aluminium d'où un train rapide et performant , le CAESAR est un des canons les plus léger , donc , plus facile à déplacer !

I love the design and the performance is simply impressive. Unfortunately way too expensive for what it is, but I would prefer it to any Porsche.

This is to most beautiful car on the market imo.. price is just a bit high but i love the looks so much. I saw the police rode the alpine and megane rs in france last month,and they were hauling ass in the highway. Nice baguette 👌😎

Not wrong about the stability, it looks so smooth, bet that is an amazing balance of agility and power, definitely an interesting alternative to a little lotus or a baby cayman... edit... and yes you passed both of those rather effortlessly... seems a great little track car that.
