As I've said before, I love the longer videos including all the bits because it feels like we're there hanging out with you while you create beautiful pieces. It's authentic and genuine. People can fast forward or go elsewhere if they don't care for the extra stuff. Most of us here love it.
I LOVE long videos. People who don’t like the process have plenty of short videos to critique and move on. Those of us who love you like you are will be here forever to get the real deal! Thank you for the strength to overcome those who would ruin your videos before moving on.
I can't believe you did that with a dang koosh ball. It's so pretty. I appreciate your long form videos, Julie. They always feel like we're going on a journey with you. ❤️
Julie, I don't think that there are enough descriptive words to say how beautiful this snail turned out. I also think that the black is the nicest. Incredible 🥰🇨🇦🐑
Fabulous getting the eyes out.. I didn’t think it was possible! I love the black.. we all know they’re not empty inside 😂 and anything not supposed to be there is underneath so it doesn’t show up or matter. We all micromanage our own art to a point of craziness at times. Thinking ‘homemade with love’ makes it a bit easier. This snail is perfection just as it is!
Glad you got a pressure pot. Just so you know- the wood stick will also release air and add to the bubbles you see in your resin in the pot as it pressurizes. I would suggest removing the wood stick before you pressurize :)
As Janel pointed out, this is a vacuum chamber. VC pulls the air out of the liquid and releases bubbles. Pressure pots make the bubbles smaller (micro size so less visable.) Pressure pots you leave the item in while it cures until fully solid. Hope this helps further.
@Janel Cloutier thanks for that, I didn't know that and assumed they were both pretty much the same. Plus everyone always raves about pressure pots for making clear pieces without hovering with alcohol spray to prevent bubbles.
@@dhsiren I got my pressure pot for Xmas. I haven’t used it yet. A little nervous cause it has to run so long eek 😬 but the compressor is quiet. Now I have two different compressors. Never would I thought about owning one 😝 hubby tells me he’s gonna borrow it haha
I love the snail. The squishy ball was genius! Pure Genius! Being slightly off center, myself, I was urging you to do one eye purple and one eye blue. I wonder if you hadn’t used the vacuum chamber, if the ball would have come so close to the top and spread out? But l do love how he looks, especially from the top down. You always say “ohh! Aren’t they beautiful?” What is beautiful is you being able to find and share your beautiful art and beautiful soul with so many. Lord knows, we need as much positivity and beauty in the world as we can get.
Absolutely gorgeous Julie 😍 Can you please keep us updated on whether the ball keeps its color in a month or two in the resin. Love it. Congratulations on the pressure pot.
@@the.resintist don’t nearly all resin artists on RUclips call them pressure pots? No need to correct anyone when most if not all people watching the videos will understand what is meant, even if they’re not using what you consider is the correct terminology.
@@ShintogaDeathAngel I have one exactly the same and there called vacuum pots the pump sucks air it doesn't blow. Pressure pots are totally different they have four locking points at the top or a screw down lock so the pressure stays inside basically doing the same job. The major difference is you can't leave a piece in a vacuum pot as it will cause the resin to ver heat like. If you go to outer space and get out the craft with no suit your blood will boil and you will go pop. Where as a pressure pot you can leave a piece in their to guarantee pretty much zero bubbles. If you Google it you'll see artists with pressure pots leaving the piece inside till it's set but never when using a vacuum pot. I think it's important to educate people how to use them correctly. Like closing the valve directly as the pipe enters the meter when vacuum is cut off or this can cause damage to the pump. They aren't cheap. And come with minimal oil so fisrt thing you need is a bottle of oil which isn't costly and will most probably last a lifetime. But without you'll never get full vacuum and possibly damage to the pump.... Only saying as I wouldn't want anyone to get one and not understand how they work and how to use them. I'm going to do a video on how to AMD what not to do with a vacuum pot 😉👌🫶👍
We learn so much from you when you share the process, please don't change who you are and how you make videos. 🙂 One suggestion with the vacuume chamber, if you are going to walk away and leave things under vacuume with the pump turned off, turn the blue handle, which will keep the vacuume from pulling the oil from the machine, into the tubing and into the pot itself. A lesson I learned the hard way. 😉
Oh that snail turned out beautiful, I am not a snail person but you have turned me this is so beautiful, I love it,wonderful job on making it,I am learning a lot watching your videos, thank you for sharing with us..😊❤
Love the outcome looks great. Just FYI for those saying pressure pot. It’s a vacuum chamber. Two very separate things. Just in case anyone wanted to get one and started searching for the wrong thing. Vacuum chambers suck the air/ bubbles out of the resin but you can only do small amounts at a time as when the bubbles get pulled out the resin “foams” and can overflow. A pressure pot “pushes” the bubbles / air with immense force so that the air bubbles are squished so tiny it’s impossible to see them. So vacuums pull. Pressure pots push.
@@PouringYourHeartOut Hi 👋🏽, if you were concentrating on larger pours you would be better with a pressure pot. Smaller pours you can use a vacuum chamber but really it’s personal choice. If you are happy to just keep doing layered pours like you did in this one where you went to and from the chamber and then just added the resin to the mould then you don’t really need a pressure pot. The down side to a pressure pot as well is that they only come in certain sizes and some larger moulds are difficult to fit. To counter this you could just use a larger container to mix your resin then put it in the vacuum chamber. This way you will have more to pour without to and “fro’ing”. It’s just a balance of not getting too much resin so it overflows when it comes to a vaccine chamber. Best to do some tests and see where your volume limit lies. Hope that helps. I’ve done extensive research as I want a pressure pot myself but I am saving atm. I am not always good at explaining things though. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware as the two can get very confusing especially if you are looking to use one yourself. P.S keep up the amazing videos I love how out of the box you are and how the designs and ideas you have are ones rarely seen and not just following the “trends” of everyone else. 😊
