Julie, I don't think that there are enough descriptive words to say how beautiful this snail turned out. I also think that the black is the nicest. Incredible 🥰🇨🇦🐑
Glad you got a pressure pot. Just so you know- the wood stick will also release air and add to the bubbles you see in your resin in the pot as it pressurizes. I would suggest removing the wood stick before you pressurize :)
As Janel pointed out, this is a vacuum chamber. VC pulls the air out of the liquid and releases bubbles. Pressure pots make the bubbles smaller (micro size so less visable.) Pressure pots you leave the item in while it cures until fully solid. Hope this helps further.
@Janel Cloutier thanks for that, I didn't know that and assumed they were both pretty much the same. Plus everyone always raves about pressure pots for making clear pieces without hovering with alcohol spray to prevent bubbles.

A lesson I learned the hard way. 😉
People keep calling it a pressure pot but its a vacuum pot. What you need is a pressure pot that you can place projects in and leave over night. It will get rid of bubbles with out any over spillage even if filled to top.

I have wanted one of these since hearing them a couple of years ago, so I've already learned something just watching you operate it. Tell your Dave (I have a Dave-unit, too) I would VERY much appreciate a video of how to operate one of these! Look at all those bubbles!!! Ye cats, there are TONS of them! And it looked so clear before! So excited to see this done! 👍😁 Can you put it back into the vac chamber for the 1st black layer? LOVE the chameleon powders, esp that gorgeous blue! Okay, I won't peek. Much. 😁 Oh, you did it!!! He has eyestalks!!! And he is SO CUTE!! 😊❤❤❤
Yay! I Hava a vacuum chamber and pressure pot but still not comfortable with them. Happy to see this! The chamber is also good for degassing silicone mold liquid, lovely project ❤
Very cool, love the holographics too! Hey, I notice your plexiglass slides around on you. I use a piece on my desk too. I use double sided tape, a little piece at each corner and it hold the plexi in place nicely. Just a thought in case it can help. LOVE these snails!
Oh my goodness!!!!!! I freaking love him. What a fabulous idea. Oh, Julie, you constantly amaze me with your talent and wonderful ideas. And no bubbles? That's awesome. xoxooxoxoxoxo ps. I love your balls.
Julie welcome to the club I love my vacuum chamber. Be sure to use a large enough container and don’t run on full without watching it so it doesn’t overflow. Reminds me of beer in the beginning. I just open the valve a little slowly so it goes back down or splatter from the air coming in.
Your stick is now stabilized with resin. The bubbles showing up while pressuring were created by resin displacing air in the wood. I've seen several people who work with wood and resin do that for the sole purpose of stabilizing a weak or porous wood prior to using it in a project.
I just love this little snail it could be pu in a pot plant in the house or in your flowerbed . Just a real cutie it needs a mate they would be so cute together
I love it it's adorable 🥰 personally I like the black. I watch a lot of woodworkers that use pressure pots totally gets rid of any bubbles doesn't it great job
18:59 You said that you’re sure it is much better than if you didn’t use the vacuum chamber - now I’m dying to see a side my side comparison of the same project done with and without it!!
The snail is gorgeous! I'm super excited to get mine delivered so I can try it out. The shell placement of the mold isn't for design purposes. According to my little cousins, the shells on actual snails are usually a bit lopsided/ crooked . I'll trust the experts here, lol. I haven't seen a snail since I was little. I wonder if the colors would show through clear resin in the little puffy heart molds? Having swirled them together its a shame that only what touches the mold is seen. Oooh maybe do another one with a different ball and one with the small ones in the shell 🤔

Tell your Dave (I have a Dave-unit, too) I would VERY much appreciate a video of how to operate one of these! Look at all those bubbles!!! Ye cats, there are TONS of them! And it looked so clear before!
So excited to see this done! 👍😁
Can you put it back into the vac chamber for the 1st black layer? LOVE the chameleon powders, esp that gorgeous blue! Okay, I won't peek. Much. 😁
Oh, you did it!!! He has eyestalks!!! And he is SO CUTE!! 😊❤❤❤
Do it again, yes!!!
I think I would only use it for deep, clear pours :)
That snail looks very cool! That squishy ball worked very well for the shell! TFS
This is awesome. Every time you work with this snail, you have me cracking up!
Glad you enjoy it!
Oh my goodness! This is the most vibrant and colourful snail ever seen! I love it!!
WOW 🤩 I would love to see more videos with those holographic powders!!! Please? 🙏
Snail is super cute. I like this one.
So adorable! Great job Julie. Thanks for the wonderful video.
Love your videos, so creative. I find your voice so soothing and love to watch before bed
Julie, your snail is so cool looking. I enjoy long videos of yours.
Yay! I Hava a vacuum chamber and pressure pot but still not comfortable with them. Happy to see this! The chamber is also good for degassing silicone mold liquid, lovely project ❤
Koosh ball!!! Haven't seen one in years!! Sweet!
Very cool, love the holographics too! Hey, I notice your plexiglass slides around on you. I use a piece on my desk too. I use double sided tape, a little piece at each corner and it hold the plexi in place nicely. Just a thought in case it can help. LOVE these snails!
Love that you got your pressure pot.
Oh my goodness!!!!!! I freaking love him. What a fabulous idea. Oh, Julie, you constantly amaze me with your talent and wonderful ideas. And no bubbles? That's awesome. xoxooxoxoxoxo ps. I love your balls.
Thank you so much!
Julie welcome to the club I love my vacuum chamber. Be sure to use a large enough container and don’t run on full without watching it so it doesn’t overflow. Reminds me of beer in the beginning. I just open the valve a little slowly so it goes back down or splatter from the air coming in.
Good to know!
Your stick is now stabilized with resin. The bubbles showing up while pressuring were created by resin displacing air in the wood. I've seen several people who work with wood and resin do that for the sole purpose of stabilizing a weak or porous wood prior to using it in a project.
I love the black and would love to see the clear
Julie!!! This is SOOOO cute!! Love the string ball in there. Great effect. I love the little guy!
I LOVE this idea, and I LOVE watching your videos!! You make me smile every time!
I just love this little snail it could be pu in a pot plant in the house or in your flowerbed . Just a real cutie it needs a mate they would be so cute together
I love the technique you used to dust the mold with multiple colors, looks gorgeous!
What fun! I don't think the black in the bottom is a problem. What a cute idea.
Oh Julie it's spectacular 😍and really enjoyed the pressure pot instructions 💗
I absolutely LOVE this!!!!! Beautiful !!!!! Can’t wait to see if you do a clear one. 😊Lots of Nova Scotia, Canada love heading your way. ❤️❤️🇨🇦
