I hate reading series but when I read the mind fuck series I flew through them because each one ended with a cliffhanger and it leaves you wanting more! I just know when you're in the mood to read them you're gonna love them

Why don't you just say screw it and go ahead to read just Ryke and Daisy then make up your own mind as to whether you feel it's necessary to go back and read the rest of the series? I don't get the hype of this series either. I also don't get the big deal with the Twisted series. I think a lot of it, and I know you're feeling this lately, is that we're older and moms now, so reading about 20 year olds just doesn't hit like it used to. Can't connect with them anymore
Flawless and Heartless are both so good and very easy to read/listen to. The fmc in Heartless is hilarious and had me literally laughing out loud and daddy Cade is just yum!
Lilly frustrated me in the beginning too. It did open my eyes a lot on sex addiction. I don’t think people see it as a real addiction. But the characters do develop and grow a lot over time and I think is the reason people are so invested in this series. Age gap is my favorite trope and I never saw Ryke & Daisy’s relationship as such a big deal, it wasn’t that taboo for me. Don’t know.

yeah i think thats why people tend to have less empathy for lily because you naturally think ‘just stop then’. but its sooo hard especially if shes still getting a taste and not going cold turkey like Lo with alcohol. I never got to Rykes book but he kind of annoyed me ngl so i dont know if my mind could be changed… I want it to though
Also, doesn't Lily nearly get assaulted in the first book and Lo isn't even there to help? That's what finally gets him to put forth the effort. Also, Lily nearly gets assaulted again by a male therapist in the second book, I think? Plus, people generally have an understanding of alcoholism, whereas as others have pointed-out, sex addiction is not as well understood. That and Lily has to deal with slut-shaming and a more loathsome image in the media than anyone else, because she... has too much sex? That and with alcohol at least you can go the rest of your life and live without a drop, for the most part. Both Lily and Lo want physical intimacy though, so it's a lot trickier. Just my two cents, Lily and Lo aren't my favorite, but I think Lily especially gets a lot of undeserved hate.

I think you will enjoy the Calloway Sisters A LOT more. Ryke & Daisy were my favourite but I will say I definitely enjoyed Rose and Connor’s story because they were academic rivals and they have some kink to their relationship sooo I think it’s worth it. You could honestly just read a summary of the other addicted books to fill in any missing story lines….. Also I hated Twisted Love but I am going to attempt Twisted Games this year.
Twisted Games is my favorite!! But I do love me a royal/bodyguard romance always and the princess "pet name" yes please 🖤 twisted love was meh and I haven't continued with the series but Twisted Games ... chefs 😘 for me
We have the same opinions on the Addicted series and Magnolia parks! I want to read them and understand the hype so bad, but I can't get over how they enable each other (in Addicted for now) and the constant fashion descriptions of Magnolia Parks. I will try again later on in the year, but I'm done for now. I also started the Twisted series and dnf'ed Twisted Love because it just seemed so far fetched but I am interested in the other 3 books.

When I see books that are been hyped everywhere I don't usually want to read them because I know they are not going to live up to the hype, like magnolia parks, addicted series and Lauren Asher books, I just can't get into them, I think as I got older and became a mom my reading taste changed, these are books with characters that seemed so childish that I just can't see the appeal, obviously there are exceptions but that mostly has to do with the mood, but now I usually preferred books with adults that actually think and behave as adults, Flawless and Heartless are very good, and I feel the same way about sports romance but there are some that are really good.
Mary! I also hate Twisted Love lol but trust me!!! The series gets better! Twisted Hate and Lies are my favs in this series! I kinda think that Ana finally found her groove in writing in book 3… definitely worth checking out esp if you like the tropes that those books have. Regarding the Dirty Air series, you are correct. Imo, the first two are meh. It’s just another romance books. But wrecked completely wrecked me and redeemed is just so good! Aaaaa cant wait for you to read it all and tell us about your opinions ☺️
I get itchy when books stay on my TBR for too long, and most of them are popular ones... The minf*ck series, dirty air series and Blind Side are few examples even though I'm really exited and have high expectations about them, after this video I guess i'm just gonna jump and start reading one 😝
Addicted series gets progressively better especially when we get Lo's POV. But a lot of people don't like so you can read just the Calloway series starting with Kiss the Sky. Kiss the Sky is my favorite and Rose and Connor are my favorite but you get so much Raisy through that and to really appreciate their relationship there is a lot that happens through the Calloway series but in that series it's Kiss the Sky (Rose & Connor) then goes straight to Daisy and Ryke in Hothouse Flower back to Rose & Connor in Fuel the Fire and Raisy in Long Way Down. Also, I've found Lily and Lo are a lot better in other peoples perspective. But I also read all of the Like Us series which is their kids so I'm absolute trash for these characters lol

The beginning was a little hard to follow with the snooty convos they would have but once I got in that mind set I devoured it!!! I still hate BJ! Buuut I love you!!
I also really hated the addicted series. Dnf'ed it. Those characters and especially the girl frustrated me and I couldn't deal. I did really like the F1 series by Lauren Asher. And I still need to read the mindf*ck series.
Mary I don't think you need to hear to the people twlling you you can't pick and choose, if you want to read Ryke and Daisy read them, at the end of the day you're reading for happiness and enjoyment. If you don't care about the others then don't read them.

Those cowboy books are definitely not like Yellowstone cowboys and in fact hardly go into the whole cowboy thing at all.
They were short simple and ok. Think I'm at a stage where I want more "meat" in my books without compromising the romance and spice.
